I’d like to think Topher and Substitute Topher live right next door to each other, so when they’re talking about “oh my neighbor saw all the cars in my driveway…” they’re actually just talking about each other like a couple of besties. That’s the lore i’m giving u guys. I’m not even 30 seconds into this video and when u said both of y’all have been driving it all week, i’m like ok they’re switching off every day cuz they’re having grill outs and movie nights and wine nights every other day. Idk man this is real life
I like to think they are roommates. They share a room and both of them have their own race car beds. The room has carpet that has roads for little hot wheels cars and every night before bed they both race all of their hot wheels to see who has the best one.

I took my 24' Cayenne S to the track and it knocked off a 3.79 0-60 and a 12.4@110.6 1/4 mile run. 14 runs back to back and all within 0.1 of a second of each other. You can tell it loses a little steam on the top end but that Porsche launch control is the real deal even in this car. Get the sports exhaust, it sounds like a German muscle car.

The disappointment of this car to me is the interior, I feel like the pre-facelift one had a bit more soul, this interior doesn’t really have that much uniqueness or anything, even the gear lever is now a damn switch.
I really like the new Cayenne but considering it’s $20k-$30k more than a comparable X5 I think I’d choose the X5 over the Cayenne considering the X5 with the M Sport Pkg is about 95% as good (from my personal experience) and a SUV will always be a SUV, both are fantastic for sure

Probably not gonna see any of those in Finland. That non-hybrid V8 model is $90000 more expensive than the S E-hybrid with the V6. Turbo E-hybrid is cheaper than the non-hybrid S model. Taxes..

I believe the new Cayenne has lot it’s charm a bit. Cayenne was something unseen before when it was launched. It had proper off-road capabilities for a unibody, the first gen even had low range 🤯, it was a sports car that could go off-road as well. I don’t really like this current design. IMO the second gen facelift and some other versions were the best, but looks are subjective.

Impossible to justify. You can get a loaded X5 M60i for $95k and it will be much faster than not just S but also GTS that goes for over $140k decently equipped!
The Cayenne is the gold standard but the X5 is 95% as good for much less cost, that’s why my dad is going X5 after cross-shopping both and some other high-end SUVs
Raced my buddies X5 M60i in my 24' Cayenne S and he ran a 12.2@112 and I ran a 12.4@110. The BMW is faster but you can't tell unless you line them up and the Porsche sounds significantly better. Both are great choices =).
@@WTE1991 I’d go X5 40i M Sport personally but if I wanted more speed I think the Porsche Panamera is perfect, X5 M60i and Cayenne S are awesome for fast SUVs tho

(I own an m4c g82 for summer car)
The wheel entire set up is extremely interesting to me. Something I have been theorizing in my head for a long time, but of course never had the money to play around with what I am seeing here is a large rim and when I say large, I mean, 20 inches and above and diameter, extremely wide rubber right so 285 front 305 in the rear yet it also has sidewall which is incredible to me. They have made sure that it is possible to equip real off-road tires and have grip on a race track if need be and also be comfortable for every day driving The only loser in this equation is the fact that it's just so much rubber being used and so the cost of these tires is going to obviously fall on the owner of this vehicle I think that tire companies will have to adjust as well and find a way to make tires like this affordable because this wheel tire setup is uncompromising in potential for capabilities and use scenarios. It embodies the heart and soul of the SUV and carries with it that ethos.. i hope I am conveying my thoughts legibly here; trying to spend less time commenting on stuff but couldnt resist here
the sport chrono package has the sport response button...fully loaded these run $140k...
I was very critical of the new interior language for the new Cayenne and Panamera, but after I sat in one, I definitely feel they are still every bit as premium and nice to be in as the last gen. Speaking of Panamera, I hope Topher drives the new one sometime in the future.
Porsche is currently my all time top favorite German car brand followed by Mercedes, BMW and Audi
I actually like that shifter, it’s up on the days out of the way but seems like it still has some tactile operation to it

I currently drive a BMW X5 M60 but gave had two Cayenne S in past but with the 6. I’m thinking of swapping for new Cayenne GTS, I’m curious on your thoughts. Thanks.
Money is relative so I won’t call it a waste of money, but there’s certainly a glaring lack of ROI when compared to an X5 or even an MDX Type S.
I’d go X5 personally but the Cayenne is the gold standard, the MDX is a great vehicle but it’s not for performance (+ I’d get the standard MDX over the Type-S bc the Type-S has low-profile tires that go flat easily on bad roads due to the brakes)
i still dont understand why Porsche didnt put new ambient lighting on the new Cayenne like they did with the Panamera

Topher- follower here. Great jobs with the reviews. Question- u loved the GX550 overtrail yesterday. Which do u prefer: Cayenne S or overtrail? I know there are different- I got a Overtrail coming, and a Macan GTS for wife. I like a more comfortable car for road trips and I think the overtrail may be better??!! 🙏🙏

I also looked for a 2016+ Cayenne but those things depreciate too much for me so I'm full on looking for a 2022+ GX instead for an off road rig instead
Sooooo expensive. Rather just get an Acura MDX Type S or something tbh. The new center area looks very dull. The performance seems excellent though.
MDX Type-S isn’t a performance SUV so you can’t compare the 2, if you want a better value proposition, maybe look at the BMW X5 (my personal choice) but ofc the Cayenne is gonna be the gold standard and it’s def priced as such

You can't compare the Acura to any of the Germans. Driving them back to back you begin to understand the price premium of the Germans. They are more solid and substantial feeling. Screwed together better, hands Down

I’d go BMW X5 40i M Sport personally but the M60i X5 is great if you want something fast, the Cayenne is going to be the gold standard but for $20k-$30k less I’d get the X5 + IMO it has better tech, also from my expereince the X5 is 95% as good, my dad cross-shopped both and plans on getting the BMW soon

@@samuelburton5576 true and you’re also getting better handling but after helping my dad cross-shop both the X5 is a far better value proposition and I think it has a smoother ride quality although both are very comfortable, X5 has better tech too, the Cayenne is the one to buy if you want the best performer but for most people (my dad included) they will be just as happy with the X5 for a lot less money (X5 costs less to maintain too)

The 2019-2023 is the best gen of the cayenne, better exterior rear end, and better gear shifter in the cabin position wise and look wise and more simple; yet effective interior. 2024 is too much screen

Crazy prices for high end SUVs now. Can’t build cars much faster so can only judge if cars are more reliable, tight standards and longer lasting. I’ll let others be the first sucker w lots of money and vanity.
