I once had the privilege of being a passenger on one of these. I was in the middle of Shanghai and, as many people point out in the comments, what really surprised me was the traffic noise reduction inside the vehicle. Truly felt different than a normal car, it made me feel safe and far from the hustle and bustle outside.
To me, the noise reduction in this car has the SAME vibe as when you're a young kid in your parents' car passenger's seat, going back home at night from your grandparents house, if you put some low and calm R&B 2000s songs + the radio narrating random things in it, it would be EXACTLY how the night car rides felt to me in my childhood, even though my parents never had a Maybach 😂 but trust me!
Actually got the car to drive around for a day and what many people dont realize is how enormous this thing is. It handles like a much smaller car, but you underestimate its size when driving. Also the Maybach engine is something else. I never felt something so smoothly accelerating.
That was thoroughly enjoyable. I'm glad you gave us the driver's POV. Normally everybody is focused on the backseat passenger's comforts. Driving it at night just enhances the car's quality.
People have that such of a misconception that these cars r just chauffeur driven. I saw if u still sit at the driver's seat at night with all the ambient lighting and go alone in a drive, you'll feel the best out of anything.

I love how quiet the tire and wind noise is it’s so well insulated, and the steering wheel and interior (not just the lights) is so clean as well as the exterior. The perfect video.
I love the interior and the lighting just adds a soothing touch. Every detail matters. When you pay alot for a car you want something unique to its self.
SAAB had a special button for driving at night. Similar to what is on planes. It shut down all unnecessary gauges and lights. That is considered safer that a full light show.
Agreed, it would have been nice if some time was set aside to show what it looks like with all unnecessary interior lights disabled, or at least dimmed down to the minimum.
Amazing car. I wonder how many of those "features" will just be standard on average cars in 5 years? Once he started driving I realized I knew the area. He started driving in downtown Newark, NJ, then headed north on RT 21.
Hopefully none of these features will be standard, these features are cool until after 20,000 miles the car is have general electronic errors. They’re toys, this is not a car it’s a toy.

Honestly one of my fav cars to drive, really just a different car out of every car ever out there, i mean it's different from any rolls royce you'll ever drive or even ride in, it's an incredible experience for the driver as well as for the passenger.
This car is utterly amazing. I'm simply amazed by the pure quality and peacefulness it gives off. God would I love to own one of these, though I know it's simply far too expensive for the average person.
Let's not forget the first 5min into the video..my man's was on a dark..empty parking lot..letting windows up and down and flicking dome lights off and on ..so to anybody casually walking by..all they thought was: Suspicious AF!
There's something about the quietness of the vehicle. It just feels so good like there's nothing to focus on except your drive. Only you and the hushed sound of that mean ass engine.
i LOVE how it reminds you to put your hands back on. a tesla will go BEEP BEEP AHHHH HELPPPP . this just has a little red icon only the driver can see. so classy
I work at mercedes as a lot porter and get to drive them occasionally, love them , but more of a fan of their AMGs and speed but I love their luxury side with s classes and maybachs too

I'm one that doesn't care for the ambient lights all that much. Car seems great and hushed on the road but I bit too much glitz inside. The version with the matte wood and surfaces and only a splash of ambient light here and there would be better IMO. Be subtle and understated again, Mercedes.

Wow! The Mercedes Benz Maybach S-class S580 is very good. It has massaging seats and luxury level is on the top. It is on the list of most luxurious cars in the world. Mostly, the LED lights which are normally cheap and give a excellent feeling. I can't afford this car so I think the millionaires across the globe are lucky enough to get their hands on this car.
Of all of the things that impressed me the most, the little table for the passengers got my jaw on the floor lmao! I can just imagine eating my mcdonalds in the back if I wanted hahaha. Beautiful car. My new goal!

Okay, I finally get it. It amazing. For one thing I hate hearing and feeling the road, and people being about to hear my music when i stop at a light, And every thing looks so pleasant to touch. Meanwhile my Malibu (2017) doesnt even want to turn off because it doesn't think its in park, there might be a timer that eventually shuts it off, because i'm yet to come to out to a dead battery.
Had a ride in one of these when I got a company taxi, was a very smooth and comfortable ride for sure. Shame they're 180k new, I wouldn't mind one myself lol

Both are premium, absolutely top brands. Owned a lot of Bmw and Mercs, but i do believe that japanese brands have higher reliability. Maybe it's not ment to have both sides 🙂

i m a BMW fan boy but i have to make it clear that Mercedes has much better interior designs than BMW, but BMW uses better materials
