I have a 23 turbo GT in paint to sample velvet purple metallic. The sound just can’t be reproduced on video. Every time I get in the car it’s a thrill whether I’m driving in traffic or opening it up on back roads. It is truly physics defying and brutally fast and stable. Put it in track mode and turn off the traction control and it happily drifts wherever you push it.
Interesting color you’ve got; I have the 22 TGT, not sure which Track mode you mean; is it the S+?, my only disappointment is actually about the exhaust sound and note; way underwhelming for such a beast; I wish it was higher

I agree with everything the reviewer of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GTS has said - the experience is engaging and fun. The level of control is amazing. The SUV spoils you so much you forget it’s an SUV! It never gets old. I always look forward to driving it.
Great video! I bought a used 2010 Cayenne GTS with PDCC for $8,800! :) High miles but it still runs strong and I love it! Corners like crazy and sounds amazing!
That’s insane. My daily modded Q50 came standard with 360 camera and it was bought new in 2018. It’s insane how this car does not have 360 camera. If I was in the market for this, I would be looking at BMW now. The BMW X6 M literally has a fantastic 360 camera on high res.

You’re wrong about the sound system. I own a 23 Turbo GT and my new 24 is being Delivered September 2. The High End Burmeister 3D sound is the upgraded sound system. It’s a $5500 option and I highly recommend it. Mine is coming with it. Great review though, thanks
I currently have 2023 GTS and my new 2024 is at the port waiting on a software update, hope to have in a week or so. Porsche styling is where it is at for me. I don’t like the flashiness of the Urus! I like the fact that it looks like a sleeper to the common eye, yet it a killer!
The front end is more aggressive, I think this Is how it should have looked. For 650 hp and the price someone would be paying , the looks were too tame on the previous. I think this is a step in the right direction.
The first thing I did was change the tires out. Perelli makes an all season P0 in the same sizes with a wear rating of 450 as opposed to the weather rating of 80 on the corsas. The corsas also like to pick up Road oil. 😬 also I would not recommend taking those corsas out in heavy rain, things get exciting very fast since this car is happy to spin all four wheels off the line on dry pavement
The 2023 Cayenne Turbo GT is far nicer than the 2024. A key item missing in the new 2024 model is the GEAR Selector !!!! The 2023 model can be driven in full manual (clutchless) mode using the gear selector (stick shift) to change gears. Taking out the stick shift completely changes the heart and soul of the car IMHO.
I kind of like the change to a star button, like they kept it on the left and at a good height and location. Love this car i would add all the tech, leather etc
I’d choose the Cayenne over the others and upgrade the seats, because for me, the seat and the drive are what matter most. Would have liked to hear the sound system, as well. Great performance drive!
I knew this would be your favorite SUV when people started requesting it lol. You’re getting supercar performance in a family car, did I mention it’s faster than some brand new 911s to 60?
this is a beautifully styled SUV, but the price just isn’t right. i’m well aware that you’re paying mainly for the engine and the assorted high performance changes. but 202k, no soft close doors, no 3rd zone, no vented seats… there are SUV’s for 100k or less that do all that and more. and while yes, this is more focused on being a supercar than a luxury SUV, it’s really unfortunate that you have to pay extra for all that. also, i feel like Porsche is loosing their magic, and the little details that made them feel so much more special (to me at least) than BMW, Mercedes, Aston, essentially all the competition. the loss of the centre physical tach, the gear selection, and the crank starter is honestly sad to me. they’ve gone from beautiful, tactile, and useable, to essentially an ipad and a toaster on wheels. it’s really sad, given Porsche’s history of making incredible analogue drivers cars. they had the chance to put all the success and craftsmanship they’ve accumulated into this car, and make a true *driver’s suv*. instead, it’s a mess of poorly saturated, slow responding screens, piano black plastic, capacitative buttons, and disappointment. you don’t even get a proper shifter. you get a spoon that you flip up and down on the dashboard. it’s really sad for me to see how Porsche is changing everything that made them, well, so uniquely Porsche. at this point, all it has going for it is the fact that it’s the fastest of its competitors, half of which share the same platform, and are less disappointing because they’re either pure luxury cars, or you don’t loose the things you’ve come to expect from porsche. also, if you read this whole essay, i’m sorry. i got a little carried away :D
Auggie, I couldn't agree more. I recently purchased a 2019 base Cayenne but upgraded with the Premium Package Plus, PDLS+ headlights, PSCB surface coated brakes, 21" Cayenne Exclusive Design Wheels, Adaptive Cruise Control, and other options. One owner with 38k mi. for $48,500. Ok yes I would have preferred an S model adding 100hp but when I put my base mode into Sports mode the acceleration is more than I or most people would need. When you buy a Porsche its not all about acceleration. Its about quality build, and driving performance on those nice winding back roads. You get this in all trim levels. I think Porsche feels they need to embrace the new state of the art infotainment touch system but I think they are losing connection with their racing roots. Why go to a push button start and removing the center shifter going to a dash mounted flip switch is certainly puzzling. If you have the cash then go for it. However for most people I think a well maintained Gen. 3 Cayenne with low miles is certainly attractive and gives you just about everything the new Gen. 4 offers.
Great Job, but if you don't have that kind of $$$, get the Cayenne S for 1/2 the price. Not Apples to Apples, but a great way to join the Porsche family and see what you've been missing. At least that's what I did! Great Video, outstanding looking ride!
$200k + for that interior? Porsche always cuts corners on the interior. No sunroof or moon roof option? No thanks X5m or GLE63s save 50k better interior and still fun and fast drive.
I’ve got 600 miles on my ‘24 TGT and this is my second new TGT in two years. Unfortunately, the build quality of both has been very disappointing. In fact, mine is currently back at the dealer already for the third time in a month. With respect to performance, no other SUV is better. It drives better than some of my Ferrari’s, carries more people and costs a helluva lot less. But, Porsche has a long way to go with build quality. I won’t buy another one until they improve. I thought my G63’s were a PITA, but the TGT is no better. Shame given what these things cost. PS - steering is too light, even in sport plus…
I've pre-facelift Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupé, and I can also suggest mine any day. TGT is really good and lightweight, but TSE is also versatile and silent if you want to drive it in your hometown like an EV.
I dont think it’s wild for such a car. People see cayennes too often so they start to think those are low cost cars. The cayenne turbo gt is pretty much the best performance suv in the world. In my opinion, the Urus is considerably better looking in interior and exterior design so the only justification I'd have to get the Turbo GT over it is if it's noticeably different on the road, especially in its performance mode. Would love to hear your input!
The steering of the Turbo GT is the real differentiator for me. Some other outlets have shown the Turbo GT to be quicker in a straight line, but what can't be "shown" necessarily is how much more feedback the Turbo GT gives the driver through the wheel than the Urus Performante.
Is that SUV really worth the price ? In my opinion you getting a lot more in the X6M comp better technology for sure and driving experience and better price.
Picking the GT for the 2024 year. Performante is close but can't justify the price difference without flexing. Once Aston extends the new infotainment from the DB12 to the rest of the fleet they'll be more desireable.
Seems like a nice suv. However, in Canada, after loading up with options you probably want, this thing is touching almost 250k after tax… a bit steep for what it is…
Nothing is steep if you are willing to pay for it and can afford it. This thing is an absolute beast, the Porsche quality you get puts many other competitors under the table. There's a lot going on under the skin when it comes to this that separates it from the rest. I'd take this any day over the Urus or the DBX 707
They took away some of the customization features for the 2024. I got extended weather on the seat backs, and the seat bottoms. Not available in 24 and I was able to keep the GT alcantera seat centers with the neodyme stripe. 24 styling, I think, falls short, but the modifications done makes the car even higher performance if you can imagine.
I had for a week previous 2023 GT its a rocket but does not look like 220k SUV. And for daily drive is to aggressive don't get me wrong very fun car but daily Regular Turbo or Turbo S would be more comfy.

This, like the 911, is a resounding testament to the fact that Porsche is all about building a car to be driven with admiration and pride.

I agree, the interior looks beautiful with the 911 wheel and the new layout, but they should have kept the analog tachometer. It was iconic

it was needed for the cayenne, the interior was becoming outdated if you compare to the competitors.
