@ifeanyiugwuanyi6007 Warri airport no longer function for full flight. It is only now used by some helicopter firms. But the airport is still there in Airport road Warri. The airport in this video is Osubi Airport in Okpe, and not Warri Airport. The person that made the video is not from Delta so probably ignorant of the difference between Warri and Osubi. Not only the person but several other people are ignorant as well
Thanks for the video. Shell has actually left the airport for nearly 10 years now. Following the exit of shell, it was taken over by a company called shoreline which had some issues with the FAAN that lead to the closure of the airport. After the closure, we heard that the airport was taken over by the federal government. Can you help confirm that?
I was living in Nigeria during the time the airport was build. I was responsible for the installation of the telephone communication system in the airport. So I have been there hundreds of time. Now living in Holland.
It doesn't matter where the airport is located. You're bringing destructive tribal sentiment into the nomenclature. The airport is serving Warri metropolis which encompasses Osubi, Effurun, Aladja, Enerhe, Ekpan, etc. That's why it's referred to as Warri airports. All are within the Warri metropolitan area. The airport is meaningless without Warri. For example, a passenger flying into the airport from outside the state is not coming to Osubi perse but to Warri. There's no Osubi airport without Warri. So please grow man, and cut out that tribalistic rant. Makes no sense in modern day Nigeria.
Warri old airport was there in the eighties not fifties though.lt's a small airport with very few passengers,it makes sense to fly to destinations they are sure the locals are going. How many people are going from warri to uyo or owerri or kano daily? Nice one though.Thanks.
@@favour_oparah The Airlines wants to make money more than you think, if there are enough people going to other cities from warri daily there would be a flight for it trust me.
How will say that Warri is the biggest in delta state despite Warri housing the refinery and seaport of which both of them have grounded pls no way you can compare both cities today asaba is far more developed than Warri looking at Warri how many good houses are there? Pls asaba is far better than Warri
many Nigerian may wonder why flights from airports mainly go to Lagos,Abuja or occasionally Kano and Port Harcourt, well that bc these cities are the main aviation hub for Nigeria's emerging Aviation market, maybe in the near future when the market is stronger and more demands that inter cities would be popular.
Dear blogger, try do research before you upload videos. First of all, PTI is in Effurun. Effurun is a town near Warri. The airport in this video is NOT Warri Airport. This is Osubi Airport, which is located in Okpe LGA of Delta state. Okpe and Effurun are all in Delta Central, while Warri town is in Delta South. Warri Airport is located along Airport Road in Warri. It is currently used by only helicopters and light crafts. Commercial planes preferably use Osubi airport.

Thanks for the correction, but have any survey been carried out to show people aren’t interested in going to other states in Nigeria?

Someone told me that you have to go to the airport to buy tickets and can't book online..is this so?
It’s advisable and safer to go to the airport to book Buh you can book online
So you can not take flight from warri airport to any country outside Nigeria
No, you can’t even take flight to any other place in Nigeria aside Lagos and Abuja
