Really like the style of your videos. I met my Filipina in 2020 right as the pandemic was starting. I had to wait for a couple of years before I could visit her in Manila. I've visited a couple of times now and will move there in a month. I'm not a big fan of the hustle and bustle and traffic in the cities but being with a loving, caring lady makes it all good! Yes, her voice is very endearing. There is a big story behind her voice that we will get into in future videos. She lost her voice for over a year and she can only speak at about 50% volume now. Thanks for the compliment. :)

The street food is fantastic. Watermellon and pineapple are great too.
I ended up eating a little bit of street food and enjoyed it. I just wanted to take it slow to make sure I didn’t get sick while I was there. :)

Thanks again for another great video about your adventures. I just met my 30 yr old gorgeous Filipina online a week ago and already planning a trip to be with her and meet her family in September. She is from Sipocot. I'll keep following your story since I'm learning so much from your videos and getting ideas for myself. I've travelled all around Asia including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia, but never the Philippines. In Thailand, those trikes are called Tuk Tuks. Good Luck, Sir!

11+ years happily married with my filipina, her family is a plus, I love them all. She has been here in the states with me since 2014. Any question I'll do my best to aid in your journey. It's best not to see the balut and the sauce really helps it go down lol
My plan is to bring Joy back for about 7 years to the states before I can move there. People seem to be really against it on UA-cam but there are so many examples of people who have done it successfully, and happily in the past. Thanks for your comments! :)

I also visited the mall of Asia on my last trip. I had an overnight layover when we got back to Manila from Dumaguete. We rented a room nearby and went to the mall. They definitely have western pricing in the restaurants there. Also got to drive in the Pedicab but it wasn’t a long drive so no near death experiences for me.

What a great early experience of Manila NCR-----looks like you were staying at Sea Residences----actually an easy walk to MOA. No trip to Manila is complete for me without a visit to Baclaran. Fantastic that you had your GF and her sister to guide you---that would make it so comfortable. You weren't actually riding in a pedicab, it was a trike or taxicle----pedicab is the manual bicycle with sidecar

@Province Smile You should really take joy to Boracay for a weekend or a whole week. We stayed at the Le Bonita cause we're cheap lol. But they have the 5 star hotels on the beach as well. We did diving and jet skis and sunset sailing. We have pictures and some videos on my UA-cam channel. This place is absolutely beautiful

Thank you! Yeah, I drove to LA because I used to live there and thought the overall cost would be cheaper but it wasn’t much difference when I added parking and gas and hotels. I drove from Pocatello, Idaho where I have been living the last 8 years.

When I was in Manila & Davao back in August 2023. crossing the streets was like playing the live action version of Frogger. I had several close in Pedicabs & Trikes. Other than that, the Philippines is a piece of heaven in the Pacific Ocean

I lost my voice in my first thyroid surgery for one year and 6 months and I undergo for 2nd surgery again to have my voice back so it 50% only but I'm happy I can talk again😊

May I ask what hotel you stay by mall of asia looking for hotel close by there before I leave to bulacan
I stayed in a small apartment called "Sea Residences MoA Manila". I used booking (dot) com to book it. They are all owned by random people so you might be able to find several different listings for the same apartments. It was about $60 per night in the unit I stayed.
make sure to visit the red light district in makati. lots of girls

Oh man she took you to the gritty parts of Manila. Haha. Im actually really amazed. In a way that speaks about her authenticity. Manila has pockets of beauty, but they're all the sanitized, rich folk enclaves. The REAL Manila, where regular folks work and live, is what she showed you.

Its better to walk through that market so you don't miss anything. I bought shoes and shirts but as a 5'9 240lbs guy I had to look hard for stuff to fit me. I had to ride on the back of the tricycle cause my big ass wouldn't fit in the sidecar lol. I prefer the locals to drive as I ha e no patience for the traffic. I had a cab driver try to charge me 40pesos for aircon and I said we will sweat with you Kuya 😂😂😂. We found a really nice man in Marikina city that is now our driver when I'm here. He charges me 3000 pesos for the day and I make him have lunch with us when we're out. He is also my ride to and from the airport

@Province Smile My Filipina was like my private tour guide. I never feel like I'm in danger as she knows where the bad places are and we avoid them. I'm a former US Marine and it was weird for me to be out of country and not be on a mission or being shot at or hunted like dogs. I fell in love with the place instantly. The people are so nice here.
if you notice we hardly have an accidents on the road and hardly have ROAD RAGE.Asian driver are survivalist.
I did see one in Siargao but I think it was a tourist. hehe
Side note. I'm not a fat 240lbs😂😂😂 just wide bodied. My Filipina said I was bigger than the refrigerator or ref as she calls it.

That's not a pedicab you rode, it's an electric motorbike. A pedicab is a bicycle with a sidecar that only runs through a foot pedal. Pedicab is a combined or slang word from the word Pedi or pedal while cab or compartment/sidecar.. Anyways have fun
