P38 Range Rover - Instrument Cluster surround Repair

Instrument surround was rattling around and a complete nuisance. Broken tabs.
I use a soldering iron to melt plastic strips to the original in order to form new tabs so It can be screwed back onto the original mounting points. The rattle is gone and I spent maybe $2 on this repair.
The cost of a new surround is around $200. I did not reattach the chrome screws that go through the leather but could easily do that now I have strips in place to drill and screw into as well.
The bendy plastic was from the bottom of a woolworths bag.
As ugly as the repair appears, it is not seen at all once the covers are placed back on and its sturdy and strong. Complete win.
