On speculative average, a beginner structural engineers are getting somewhere around Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 38,000/- monthly. There are also people who are getting either lower or higher than these amounts.

starting from 1,75,000 per annum seriously? my cousin who did iti after 10th is getting 1,92,000 per annum, even after studying 6 years extra than him. structural engineers are highly underpaid in india.

Important videos would be on imparting business skills to a structural engineer to sell their skills at correct hourly rate. Its a hard line requiring blend of numerous skills and does not pay commensurate to the efforts. This results in compromises during analysis and design processes. Also structural engineer usually does not have necessary set up and industry backing to get paid for the variations imposed upon by others requiring additional time and effort. Compare this profession with doctors and lawyers to find that they are indeed a poor lot.

I would advise all the civil engineers who r freshers or 12 pass students not to go for CIVIL Engg or Structural Engg. Its pathetic no salaries no stability in the career just shift it to IT industry if u r good with computers coz entry level IT employee earns more than the experienced structural engineer. Dont waste time guys I myself a structural engineer shifted to cyber security analyst and i am earning a way more money than i used to in Structural Engg.

Now in india fresher can get 3 to 6 LPA to start with , 10 yrs exp guy can expect on an avarage 12 to 18 LPA and with 15-18 yrs exp you can get 22-30 LPA in india based on company and your exp etc. This is the fact in india as of now for a discently good structural engineer as on 2021.....All the best friends...
