Big Tarpon Fishing

Fly fishing for big Tarpon on saltwater flats is exciting and fun. There are those who generally agree that once a (big) Tarpon is hooked, there is a 10% chance that the angler will get it to the boat. This is partly because Tarpon have very hard and bony mouths which make it difficult to get a good hook set, but they're also extremely strong and have incredible endurance, regularly fighting the angler from 1-2 or more hours. This was my 12th hookup of the trip, let's see what happens.
