It was a shame that only 2 players got to play this game. Great ideas and deck building though. My only suggestion as a long time viewer would be on stressing the importance of showing the cards in hand of each player. In this video there were times where I had no idea if the BloodPod player had 6 cards in hand or 15 and that information is relevant as far as understanding the decision making process is concerned. Looking forward for more videos!
We also like to know the cards in hand but the work behind it is a lot and there were really few people noticing that from our understanding, so we rather reduce the workload to try to improve in other areas.
I knew getting rid of Sweltering Suns against those 2 Tymna decks would be the wrong choice. And keep the 1 for 1 Abrade? Or the silver bullet Welding Jar? Makes no sense.
maybe im wrong but didnt godo player have a turn 2 win and just didnt? gemstone caverns, mountain, and city of traitors makes 4 mana (2 of which is red) into seething song is 6 (1 of which is red) into casting godo, then tutor for helm and win. right? or am i missing something?
You are right that he could have taken that line, but it wouldn't win right away, as helm doesn't attach automatically, and from our understanding he decided to go for a safer route as to be able to win turn 3 he would have to play a land to equip it therefore losing city of traitors and if this plan would go south he would be way behind. Considering stuff like Ass Triphy mana open from Sequeira and Blue Mana from David for chain of vapor or Gilded Drake he might have decided to go slower.
I played the Tutor for Intuition in response to Aven Mindcensor. I had Winds of Rebuke for the bird, but then a Godo, a Fiend Hunter and a Survival of the Fittest entered the battlefield. The bird is now stopping two players from going off, so I let it stay for one more turn because I was waiting for the LED to be cracked to play it and Jeweled Lotus with Mnemonic Betrayal. But then a Rest in Peace foiled my plans
Why the fuck no one is running creature removal? I know cEDH it's a nasty "who combos first?" but Jesus Christ... That anti-tutor bird singlehandedly defeated 3 opponents. This would never happen in a regular non-competitive game
"Which he plays, exiling Sweltering Suns. Let's all hope he doesn't regr-" WELL.
MVP was that Aven Mindcensor. The more hate that tutoring gets in EDH the more the meta will become more varied.
Tana be like: "I'm just sitting here giving you color identity..."
Oh man, just noticed the playmats! Awesome! :D
Lol "Giant Sudowoodo" @5:25
Love watching these games. Mindcensor being evil as always!
Staring down Blood Pod and pitching Sweltering Suns to Gemstone Mine... Yeah I'd call that regret lol
When I saw the pitch I was like "oh no we might need that!" :p
Best EDH channel
Almost forgot about the new video, always a brightness at work!

Getting mana screwed even sucks when you curve out like 3 :(
yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finally
Going to pick up an aven mindsensor lol
When you rely to heavily on tutors instead of reliable draw....
Idk how reliable draw spells can be in a 99 card deck lol
I mean they lacked removal so Hullbreacher or Oppo Agent could have easily taken away the game too.
Very nice match.
Aven mindcensor was brutal. Shutting off tutors gave the table not much chances
Hype hype 1st, and hopefully not the last to watch this amazing content.

@@SplitSecond totally forgot godo’s ability doesn’t auto equip, I see now
Good to watch only 1 grixis deck (peer/breach/ad/oracle/consultation/pact pack).
Tutoring a secret intuition because he has interaction for the bird
Which never see play till the end of the game, what?

@@davidcalvao reasonable! Better luck next time!

Yeah, the meta in cEDH is slightly changing towards more creatures sticking to the board, and it is indeed a weakness to most cEDH decks.
