- Hi guys,
my name is Nicole and I’m an Italian girl who just came home from one year in the USA as an aupair.
I made this video, kind of a try, to share my terrible experience as AuPair in the USA in my first host family in Nashville, Tennessee.
I apologize for my long video and my English but I hope you guys will enjoy watching my video and also will find this video useful if you are thinking about becoming an AuPair or if you are in a similar situation.
Thanks for watching- don’t forget to subscribe for more videos and if you like it, put a thumbs up 👍🏻.
Love 💕 You 💕 Guys.

Don’t worry about your English! You sound amazing considering it’s not your first language, I’m trying to learn Italian and I could never speak fluent as this! Sorry to hear about your first awful experience but glad you completed your 12 month program in the end!😁😁
Rhianne Daley thanks 😊 it means a lot! Good luck in you Italian classes !
Man I'm really sorry you had the experience you had. I don't know that she didn't trust you, so much as she didn't want to miss those moments that could be milestones, first step, first laugh etc.. I really think she felt guilty that she needed help and "hovering" was her way of trying to prove to herself that she was a good mom. Shopping was also her way of rationalizing why she worked instead of just quitting and taking care of her own baby. I really appreciate your video; it makes me very aware that I need to be very open with communicating when and if I choose an au pair.
I’m so sorry you had that experience. Sounds like this mom was having Postpartum Anxiety/Depression. It’s good you were able to find something else to make your time in the US worthwhile.
Thanks a lot!
Big hug for you. I also had a terrible experience as an Au Pair.
Big hug back then,,Isabel
We are in the process of looking for an au pair here in Hawaii for my family. I love hearing from both sides the experience.
Been an Nanny for the past 13 years,Had so many different experienced with kids from 2 to 11.I am male Nanny
Ah I feel for you, how stressful. I’m a full time nanny and I relate to a lot of this nuanced bullshit behaviour and treatment towards you that is usually very well disguised, everything always seems to perfect from the outside. But boy the subtle hell you can be dragged through, all the while remaking polite and helpful even when you shouldn’t necessarily have to be so. Glad you got out! I’m handing in my one month notice
@@Nina94771 thanks a lot! Hold on
Thanks for your tips though! I'll definitely keep them in mind
Gabriele Villa your welcome
Amazziiiing alooo
I am Dan 👩🏻love your sharing your experience to let more people know what we got through😿
Love u Dan xie xie
Your Au Pair sounds like she was a real weirdo. 😳 I’m glad you’ve moved on and are in a better place. 🤗
That’s so sweet of you
Omg the cameras I so relate to
Tell me
I cracked after 4 month when host gave me attitude and expressed really rude behavior. I think i stayed really too long and cannot imagine why you stayed 7 :D
It was the same for me. Kids were tough and I was exhausted but only because host were picking up my smallest mistakes and she basically did not like me
Katto Doggo I think I gave myself a chance to see if things would get better
It will be interesting to hear the other side of the story! I see so many of you coming out to talk about their host families but im sure there is another side ! Just saying...
Hello,
Do you know of a site, forum, blog or the like to collect testimonials from Au Pairs who have gone to the Carnagie family (only the father with two young children aged 7 and 5) in Minnesota USA?
Girls are not respected, poorly paid if at all and ..... maybe even more serious.
I would like to be able to protect my grandchildren (my daughter is deceased) and "stop" this exploitation of girls who are only objects for some.
Thank you.
I don’t I’m sorry ;(
I would like to know any pages like this.I know a weirdo and sexual maniac from Germany who is looking for a partner and try to used Au Pair
ciao, una domanda, come hai fatto ad avere una macchina?
altra domanda, è difficile guidare in un nuovo paese che non si conosce? a me spaventa tanto l'idea, non so perché ahahah
Ciao!!! La macchina te la da la famiglia perché in America è necessaria. Per la guida ti abitui (;
It sounds insane. I'm sorry.
Troppi 'uhm'
Che tipo di domande ti hanno fatto nel colloquio in inglese?
I'm pretty sure that as an au pair you are not supposed to care for chidren under 2 years old.
You can choose whether you want to or not
Di solito sconsigliano di andare in famiglie con un solo genitore da quello che ho sentito
Sorry if you looking a au Pair plz contact me
