aww that's a cute little mini rack. See ya in 10 years when you've taken over the entire garage lol. Remeber, ammo never goes down in price, always up. "Buy it cheap and stack it deep"!!
Because of weight (even if you don't max out the suggested limits) you may want to consider 1/4" sheets of particle board on top of the wire shelving to 'stiffen" it up. It will also increase the weight capacity of each self.
Mark Regan No need to do so. Once the oxygen absorbers are in the can, and you close it, it sucks all the moisture into the packs and stays that way until the can is opened again and air can get in. For long term food storage those silica gel packets can stay with food for over 25 years or 35 years untouched.
I like the shelf, only thing for me is that I do not stack my ammo can on top of each other, it tends to squish and ruin the rubber gaskets in the lid because of the weight pushing down on them.
Good idea, I did something resemblant. By the way, if you switch ammo from can x to can y, or decide to put some cartridge you own in a small amount here or there, you could try using regular masking tape and a pen to label the ammo types, it's not as tidy as those cool stickers your wife made, but it gets the job done :-) Cheers and thanks for the video! Ps- If you feel like doing videos on different, but related, subjects, I'd humbly recommend you to begin by thinking about what things you like the most. The surprise factor here will be when you notice that most gun-related videos are pretty much about the same thing, a new product review, or, gun maintenance/parts swapping. There aren't many videos on the satellite bits of the hobby, like this one you just made. Hope it helps!
I recently moved, it was a pain in the AZz. I had to conceal the ammo, didn’t want movers to know, had to take few thousand pounds of boxes, and labeled concrete, sand, lead. Told movers that the dry concrete was boxes expensive, made from crushed sea shells. It was loved safely along with my guns which I moved my self. Also a pain. Putting all my ammo in boxes and gorilla tape wasn’t cheap.
I have to do the same..I’ve been searching for the perfect shelving unit but it doesn’t exist lol.id love to find a big locker type unit with sturdy shelves that I could close the doors and lock but most aren’t good enough or don’t have enough shelves...I might have my friend make me one that is wide enough for maybe 5 ammo cans on each shelf and deep enough just to fit the cans so I don’t have excess shelf that I’m not using.id love to have it made where the shelves are tilted downwards to make it easier when grabbing the can.as you can see I’m obsessed with this lol.
Being a fellow Floridian, would love to shoot with ya, but I only have a K98K (RC) and an Argentine 1909. I must say, I learned a lot from you. I am must starting out on MilSups and got my two this year. This type of content is cool, keep it going.
I did this many years ago. I also searched for decent software that was ridiculously expensive to inventory weapons and ammo but couldn't find anything I really liked so I finally wrote my own software.
I wonder how many times he busted open a can a said “ holy crap I forgot I had that”. I do that with my fish lures all the time! I’ve got no organization skills. I just keep buying 5-10 lures every time I go to store.
You might want to consider well-built backyard shed for ammo. If your house catches on fire and the fire department shows up and they hear arounds detonating they will pull back and let your house burn down. The fire department can’t tell between rounds cooking off in a ammo can or around cooking off and the chamber of rifle which could be deadly. Ammunition kept in the house is kept in a fireproof safe.
I’m move form Louisiana to Arzonia any tips on move the ammo it’s self I have them in ammo cans with some descants do I put them in the car or in the enclosed trailer I’m nervous to it in the trailer due to temp it going to be like 4 days to get their any tips will help Thanks
Keep em covered, keep your vehicle in tip top shape(lights, tires, fresh oil, the whole 9) no bumper stickers or any other identifiers as to the kind of person you are, if you must stop for the night then stop in rural areas that are likely to have no criminals or anti 2a people. Abide by all traffic laws. Other than that, keep em dry and wrapped in blankets or something to keep them from getting banged up I reckon. I hope that helped?
Damn.. jealous I dont have that much ammo. With the craziness going on I only have a measly 20 rounds of 223 and 75 rounds of 9mm. I guess better then nothing but still.
How much ammo rounds would you estimate you have? Good stuff bro! I’m trying to reach a level of having a surplus of ammo myself. Tough times now for having any ammo at all.
The best way to tell if an ammo can has a functional seal is if you open it up and smell and you smell fresh paint that means that the seal is good I've seen cans that are rusted on the outside with a good seal still smell like fresh paint on the inside
Wives do not NEED to know how many guns we have. Like the guy said, "I just hope that after I die my Wife doesn't sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them".
Moving ammo bites. Did it once and never want to again. Yeah the wife doesn’t know what she got into until you have to take one trip just to move your guns.
how do you know you have enough ammo? Its when you start thinking how to figure out storing large quantities of it in a smaller space as much as possible. Oh and buying more cases/crates to keep up nicely organized and protected from the elements. Lol xD
Been watching ammo videos off and on for a while and this was first video in the first couple of seconds I was like damn I need more ammo had an idea for the shelf that strip LED lighting a couple of pieces underneath each shelf might look cool
I'd recommend ammocanmagnets.com for labeling your cans. I don't have as many as you but they are nice and bright and add a coolness factor. Which of course is important.
the German butcher bayonets sexy i collect those because i am not old enough to own a muaser i would be so happy to see a video about it amazing im waiting for it so meny people people like me collect them but dont have much videos about it
I noticed you keep your reloading powder in the same place you keep your ammo. Not a good idea. My powder is in a reloading shed 75 feet from my home and it is climate controlled.
Would those shelves support the weight long term? I'd suggest having a cross beam in the middle of each shelf. Looks great though #lifegoals :-). Unfortunately here in Ireland, you'd NEVER be allowed to own that much ammo!!
I guess I'll see what it can hold long term. It's advertised at being able to hold the weight that is on it. I'll probably just monitor it for any bending or warping.
u ever think abt what u will do in a shit hits the fan cinareo like wich guns an how much ammo will u take lol maybe i think abt this too much i just dont think i can leave my m96 behind lol
Ahh I love ammo porn videos😱😍 In the last 10 secs of this video, what are those 3 ammo cans on the top left of the screen what's their origin? German Army maybe?
aww that's a cute little mini rack. See ya in 10 years when you've taken over the entire garage lol.
Remeber, ammo never goes down in price, always up. "Buy it cheap and stack it deep"!!
That’s a one off brah... learn the context
1 year later he’s right keeps going up, can’t even find any ammo in Texas now.
Because of weight (even if you don't max out the suggested limits) you may want to consider 1/4" sheets of particle board on top of the wire shelving to 'stiffen" it up. It will also increase the weight capacity of each self.
I throw desiccant packs in my ammo cans.
J Mac I make sure to pull the desiccant packs once a year to dehydrate then so they do not lose their effectiveness - keep 'em dry!
Mark Regan No need to do so. Once the oxygen absorbers are in the can, and you close it, it sucks all the moisture into the packs and stays that way until the can is opened again and air can get in. For long term food storage those silica gel packets can stay with food for over 25 years or 35 years untouched.
Smart
If my wife yells at me for buying more ammo I am directing her to your video. lol Nice collection.
Lots of ammo makes us all warm and fuzzy happy LOL
2,000 lbs of ammo? That's a ton! LOL
When I buy more ammo or guns my wife just says, "good boy".
bullshit lol :)
Nobody Too You which comes from your money hahah
My wife says are those for my guns or yours?
Darrell Blake ,maybe your wife can ring my wife and tell her what the go is,my wife thinks it’s just a waste of money.it’s madness.
I like the shelf, only thing for me is that I do not stack my ammo can on top of each other, it tends to squish and ruin the rubber gaskets in the lid because of the weight pushing down on them.
Use m2a2
I wish I had that much ammo *suprised pikachu face*
Good idea, I did something resemblant. I have about 6 of those shelves. Be sure to get a piece of plywood for the shelf or they will bust through the mesh. Trust me, the struggle is real.
Love these kinds of vids. Keep them coming.
Factory ammunitions available in stock at affordable prices you can contact us at
maxammunitions.com
I’d like to see a video on the accoutrements that go with your rifles (slings, ammo pouches, cleaning kits, bayonets).
Edit: Thanks for the video!
I second!

You have a great system. Moving for the first and I hope only time here. Thanks for confirming my thought.
Thsts great, could you put the end to the wall, and get to it from both sides?
Great idea, but do you think that you should mount the rack to the wall? I'm just wondering about tipping over
You almost have the mythical "enough ammo"
Nice video. It definitely helps to get them up on shelves so you can get to them.
I’d also reinforce those shelves. All that weight over time will start to sag. 1/2 in plywood outta do it. Just to give it some more beef
I bought a Dymo label maker and label all my ammo cans so I can grab and go in an emergency.
I like the "keymod" rack lmfao thanks for the ideas
How long does it take for the third shelf to collapse
Being a fellow Floridian, would love to shoot with ya, but I only have a K98K (RC) and an Argentine 1909. I must say, I learned a lot from you. I am must starting out on MilSups and got my two this year. This type of content is cool, keep it going.
Thanks for the nice comment. I don't know if I still count as a Floridian if I'm a Missouri resident now living in KC.
Oh well, now you are a cowboy... better than a Northerner. Roll along little doggie. :)
I did this many years ago. I also searched for decent software that was ridiculously expensive to inventory weapons and ammo but couldn't find anything I really liked so I finally wrote my own software.
I thought about just using excel.
In the army I used excel and after I retired I still use my reliable Excel
And it's really good for misc inventory
Is your software for sale?
Honey, it's an investment. It's the kid's college tuition.
Like the video maybe do a full gun tour unless you already have
I wonder how many times he busted open a can a said “ holy crap I forgot I had that”. I do that with my fish lures all the time! I’ve got no organization skills. I just keep buying 5-10 lures every time I go to store.
I see Swiss GP11 on the second shelf?
You might want to consider well-built backyard shed for ammo.
If your house catches on fire and the fire department shows up and they hear arounds detonating they will pull back and let your house burn down.
The fire department can’t tell between rounds cooking off in a ammo can or around cooking off and the chamber of rifle which could be deadly.
Ammunition kept in the house is kept in a fireproof safe.
They'll most likely arrive too late to save your house anyway. They're basically "slab savers" when it comes to residential homes.
Not true
Very nice idea I’m definitely in the need for something like this. Good video too
I’m move form Louisiana to Arzonia any tips on move the ammo it’s self I have them in ammo cans with some descants do I put them in the car or in the enclosed trailer I’m nervous to it in the trailer due to temp it going to be like 4 days to get their any tips will help

How about a video on advise when moving alot of guns and ammo across country?
Keep em covered, keep your vehicle in tip top shape(lights, tires, fresh oil, the whole 9) no bumper stickers or any other identifiers as to the kind of person you are, if you must stop for the night then stop in rural areas that are likely to have no criminals or anti 2a people. Abide by all traffic laws. Other than that, keep em dry and wrapped in blankets or something to keep them from getting banged up I reckon. I hope that helped?
Download the USCCA app and it will help with a map and laws in each area
Tell no one
Nice idea, I wish I had that much space for my ammo. I have them all under desks in my gun room. I'm rethinking the layout of my reloading desk area.
Damn.. jealous I dont have that much ammo.
With the craziness going on I only have a measly 20 rounds of 223 and 75 rounds of 9mm. I guess better then nothing but still.
You'll get there one day.
How much ammo rounds would you estimate you have? Good stuff bro! I’m trying to reach a level of having a surplus of ammo myself. Tough times now for having any ammo at all.
@@chriscerta9821 at the moment? 300 rounds 9mm
going to try to buy 100 more before the election
That’s awesome man. I’ve been visiting local shops and it’s been hit or miss. Slowly but surely hopefully.
@@MilsurpWorld How much ammo is on that shelf?
Not sure if you are renting or not, but shouldn't you secure that unit to a stud or something like that? Great idea, but just wondering
Great organization. Looks awesome
I remember ammunition....sigh.
Nice storage solution
The best way to tell if an ammo can has a functional seal is if you open it up and smell and you smell fresh paint that means that the seal is good I've seen cans that are rusted on the outside with a good seal still smell like fresh paint on the inside
Wives do not NEED to know how many guns we have. Like the guy said, "I just hope that after I die my Wife doesn't sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them".
I wish I had that many freedom seeds!
If I could just figure out how to stop shooting so much of it, maybe someday I'll get there
Moving ammo bites. Did it once and never want to again. Yeah the wife doesn’t know what she got into until you have to take one trip just to move your guns.
The attractive price of such bin racks wears with the aggravation of cans behind and beneath another.
Nice video! Thank you for sharing!!!
Very good yes this is best ammo box i have this box im save my cartridge in this box 8x57 mm
I'm at this point. I need a shelf like that. To store yet more stuff.
I dig the Mauser banner shirt, you selling them?
Link is in the description
Milsurp World - does the shirt shrink a lot after washing? I’m a medium. But I always order a large because T-shirts shrink.
It does shrink some. I wear a large and when I first get the shirt it's close to XL size but after the wash it's a perfect fit for me.
Milsurp World i dig the honesty about the shirt shrinkage. I also enjoy time lapse cleaning, solid vid
I don't like having my ammo setting out like that so I keep all mine locked up.
Yep, definitely a good video mate
how do you know you have enough ammo? Its when you start thinking how to figure out storing large quantities of it in a smaller space as much as possible.
Oh and buying more cases/crates to keep up nicely organized and protected from the elements. Lol xD
Really good solution!
Rubber maid shelving. 72 high 18 in deep.38 in wide. There strong and tough .
I stack my ammo cans in job boxes, and bolt em down.
Been watching ammo videos off and on for a while and this was first video in the first couple of seconds I was like damn I need more ammo had an idea for the shelf that strip LED lighting a couple of pieces underneath each shelf might look cool
Nice. Thanks for the video.
Ice video, I used the initial shot of everything before the rack for evidence I’m normal
Never trust anyone with a too perfect head of hair.
Great idea
Great video.
Awesome job!
I see you reload nice.
woaaahhhh. I cannot believe it. A shelf. Incredible. How did you come up with such an idea?! Mind...Blown.
Nice problem to have... too much ammo. Lol
Had an idea for video making custom or weird projectiles
There was a guy on UA-cam who would load 12GA with random stuff. UA-cam doesn't allow reloading videos anymore.
Sorry I forgot about UA-cam I got to start going on a different platform
I'd recommend ammocanmagnets.com for labeling your cans. I don't have as many as you but they are nice and bright and add a coolness factor. Which of course is important.
Awesome
Cool vid
the German butcher bayonets sexy i collect those because i am not old enough to own a muaser
i would be so happy to see a video about it amazing

Biden's watching you,lol
I noticed you keep your reloading powder in the same place you keep your ammo. Not a good idea. My powder is in a reloading shed 75 feet from my home and it is climate controlled.
Lilly is adorable 🤘🤜
So a 7 minute video when the world shelf would have been sufficient. Not even how much the shelf was or its total weight cap
4:18
People, don't show or tell anyone what you have.

Louis Leoncini nothing will happen
