Fantastic projects from two of the best in our maker community. I’m glad the camera greeblie proved useful. I saw a picture recently from Galaxy’s Edge that showed what must have been your inspiration for this. Similar shaped installation on the side of a building! Excellent work.
The shape of this lamp reminds me of the movie projectors I used to run... Just amazes me what you can do with random stuff!!! Thank you for another great video!!!
This is a great collab! Sparked an idea, why not ask the Star Wars makers to each make something for your room build. Each item would have to be a surprise to you though.
I really liked them both. I'm always soaking up techniques from all you guys. Cutting out the juice lids with a hole saw? Nice! Also, I noticed you used some of those orange wire splicing lever nuts. I bought a big pack of them recently because I thought they might be helpful for when you have a bunch of LED's in a close area. While I am fully able to solder, I love proven shortcuts. Great build dude!
Pretty cool, it looks like some obscure piece of tech from a large starship. You know, the kind of stuff you'd find in the guts of the shield generator or the hyperdrive, for example.
With the understanding it's not in the star Wars universe but looks like something that could be incorporated into a build is Hal 9000 from 2001 Space Odyssey. Amazing work as always. Hope you and your family are doing well. Have a happy holiday.
I'm getting Droid Scanner vibes :D like the one from the Cantina bar. Have you ever built something familiar to the Jabba gatekeeper droid - that one ball that pops out?
Very cool ! Another challenge would be a to transform a camping chiller with inspiration of the box Penn Pershing is using to collect various things off the starship destroyer in chapter 19 the convert. Wouldn't be cool ?
Building a Lamp made to look like a Star Wars Prop... I would probably try to make it look like this small robot from _Fallen Order_ because that little guy is cute and would make an awesome reading lamp...
Its a neat light and an awesome prop. But I can only consider it a lamp if you could read a book using only the lamp for light. That is just furniture decor design rules. Looks cool though.
Hi Brian! i noticed you are laser-cutting your acrylic with the masking on. I've found the laser-cut masking smells really bad, much worse than the acrylic itself. Have you had the same experience?
Hi there. The smell is traditionally from the acrylic and not the paper in my experience. I’ve had some paper that smokes pretty bad, it with the fans I use it pulls it out of the cutter and room very well. The paper is critical to keeping any scoring off of the acrylic. I’ve cut some without and it tends to either leave burn marks or melt it a bit 🤷♂️.
What's that big honking silver greeble? I can't tell whether it's a 3D print or a scrap piece of aluminum. You both went in totally opposite directions yet still came up with something interesting. I so wish we had those lights 40 years ago, I hated hanging Christmas lights.
@@TheSmugglersRoom LOL. Sorry, what I meant was at ten minutes in you can hear the message sound and I checked my phone and then had to rewind to make sure it was in the video and I wasn't losing my mind. 😅
Once again you knock it out of the park. And what I love about this is we both had such different ideas for what a Star Wars lamp might look like.
Thank you so much bro! Appreciate you brining me along for the ride bro. Your project turned out amazing!
🫨 New idea: AT-AT Dog house 😅
One's glad to be of service. 😁
Thanks bro!!
This is cool. Its giving me ideas for a project of my own. Thanks.

Thank you! We certainly will!
What the hell is this Amazing thing ! Love the recess part and weathering! Great job guys both lamps are amazing
Thanks bro!!!!

What a genius idea! Another great video, as always!
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous as always! Looks super cool! The design could also work as a great PC-case :D
No doubt! Thank you
Such a fun and doable project! I love how you fit different parts together in such a way that they look like they were meant to be.
Thanks so much my friend!!
That came out awesome. Anddddd another project added to the list for me lol.
Awesome! Thank you!
That turned out really sweet!!! I love the blocky shape, especially with how the lights fit! Very nice job!
Thank you! Cheers!
I love watching you make your creations!!!!
Thank you so much!
@@TheSmugglersRoom you are welcome 🤗
cool! I caught derek's premiere and now I get to see the other part of the project right away!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Awesome build. Ame your own Star Wars Build😃👍🏿😊😊
Thank you 🤗
I love all the canabalized parts. Both lamps are terrific. I love all the toys. Man I need to get my art studio together.
Thank you! Yeah, a studio is always a good thing to get organized
Another great project and video! Love seeing your collaborations with other makers and artists
Thanks so much!
This is a great collab! Sparked an idea, why not ask the Star Wars makers to each make something for your room build. Each item would have to be a surprise to you though.
Thank you! I’m not sure I could possible take from other builders, but it would be cool to get them all involved in a multi maker build!
I really liked them both. I'm always soaking up techniques from all you guys. Cutting out the juice lids with a hole saw? Nice! Also, I noticed you used some of those orange wire splicing lever nuts. Thank you! Yeah, those quick connects are a great time saver for sure!
I love these types of challenges, you get inspired and create great things and then you inspire us, thank you for that 👏👏
Thank you so much!
LOVE IT!! love it, love it!!!
Thank you!
Looks totally awesome!
Thank you!
Fantastic as always
Glad you think so! Thank you
Your weathering is always so good, I have no idea how you do it even though I see you do it I just wouldn't know where to start!
Thank you! We are actually trying to create a class to teach what we know. I guess we’ll see if we can teach it 🤷♂️
You guys rock! As always I so enjoy your videos!
Thanks so much!
So cool 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Awesome that came out great!👍
Glad you like it!
When additions/renovations to Black Spire Outpost happen, I would not be surprised if they take some inspiration from your projects. Fantastic work!
Thank you!!!!
Fantastic work !!!!
Thanks man!!!
Another awesome build. Came out amazing. 👍😎
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks amazing as always you guys do such great work
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
I initially thought this was the work light challenge and was confused.
Nice result though and I know I've that video to look forward to.
Thank you! Yeah, the work light challenge is killing me!!! LOL
Dude this is SO COOL. I wish I had this kind of skill
Thank you, appreciate that!
I want to learn more about those shop cabinets !
Oooh! Did you see this video? ua-cam.com/video/OXXdANAHzGg/v-deo.htmlsi=EJm1zW-SiFcne-RO
Super cool love it.

Totally!
Woooh sudden idea! A coaxium cooling unit!
OMG! Yes I'm going to say it, "I want one!!!!!" Fantastic Brain
Awesome! So glad you like it!
This is so Rad looking.
Thank you Garland!

HAL definitely has zeta wars vibes! Thanks for watching!
👍👍‼️
Way cool!
Thank you!
I'm getting Droid Scanner vibes :D like the one from the Cantina bar. Have you ever built something familiar to the Jabba gatekeeper droid - that one ball that pops out?
I haven’t built one of those gate keeper droids yet, but I so badly want to!!
So cool dude!
Thank you!
Love this build ! Do you clear coat befor weathering ?
Thank you! Yes, most of the time. That keeps the water mixable oil paints from pulling up any of the initial paint layers
Thanks for reply ! Then you clear coat over the weathering ?
Very cool ! Another challenge would be a to transform a camping chiller with inspiration of the box Penn Pershing is using to collect various things off the starship destroyer in chapter 19 the convert. Wouldn't be cool ?
Very cool idea
What did you use to diffuse the lighted rectangles? A film over clear plastic?
It's actually just frosted acrylic. You can purchase it with one side frosted matte
@@TheSmugglersRoomis there a site or store that carries this? Thank you.

That’s a great idea for one too. That’s what we love about creating projects like this, it gets people thinking of things to try.
Well now I have a better idea for some cabinet dead space. Thanks Brian.
Awesome!!!
Very cool. Have made a few Star Wars table lamps and a couple of other themed lamps. Have videos of them on my channel
Oh sweet!!!
I love lamp!
LOL
Amazing! Now I want to build a droid lamp out of an old portable air conditioner
Go for it!
Its a neat light and an awesome prop. But I can only consider it a lamp if you could read a book using only the lamp for light. That is just furniture decor design rules. Looks cool though.
Fair enough, thanks.

LOL THATS AWESOME. it kinda rememinds me of a droid head. maybe an older model of the ig series. lol
totall!
I like Lamp!
LOL!!
Looks great, but is it really a lamp? Or a light-up decoration piece?
Both!

It’s a scrap piece of aluminum. I bought a box of “off cuts” from eBay a couple years back. Bunch of great stuff showed up.
Who else checked their phone @10:00 ? LOL Great project.
It should have uploaded at 10:00 am, did it not?
