Our society has evolved so much in just a decade or so and that in turn has greatly impacted our consumption be it product or media.
we see thousands of ads everywhere, on our phones, on TV on billboards, practically everywhere you look there are ads there is a high chance that you saw an ad right before this video as well.
things we don't even need at times are compelled to buy, with all these ads and content around us.
people are going crazy about things as simple as a water bottle.
the same thing is with beauty.
we are constantly being told to buy more, have more, want more, and that what we have now is not enough.
so many products are shoved into our faces in the name of innovation, clean beauty, natural ingredients, etc. that honestly it's tiring to keep up with them
I am not saying consumerism is bad, because that's what keeps the whole economy moving, what I mean here is if it's done mindfully, it would be better for everyone.

You just said what was in mind. Same thoughts. Me and my sister always talk about this topic, that just for single body part maintenance how many products are coming in the market and if we start to purchase each and every single product then we need to sit on he road.😂
For example just for hair care there already minimum 10 types of products are there. When we are kids we used only put hair oil and then wash it off with regular soap. No conditioner, no hair serum, etc.
Whenever I need to purchase one particular product or looking for product suggestion in the category then I search and watch videos. But rest of the all time i only watch makeup haul or skincare haul videos for entertainment purposes only. Before even start to watch video I know i will not going to purchase anything. Specially if haul was of high end makeup products or of very very expensive skincare products. Bcz i don't want to waste all of my savings in this kind of stuffs. After all in our difficult times savings are the one thing that comes to our help not all these stuffs.
Anyway it really commendable that being a influencer you are not indirectly manipulating your viewers to buy more products. Rather than you are guiding your audience in the right path. Apart from you I only know very few influencers who says to their viewers to buy mindfully, don't waste your money kind of words.
Yes, I think blushes are also being more hyped products now. Specially affordable category ones. I mean recently Insight cosmetics just keep on launching new new forms affordable blushes. I use to wonder who going to buy all these things. But later I realised are really peoples are there who buying each and every single blushes they are launching in the name of ' i am blush girl or these are so cheap/ affordable, etc'. I really think peoples just wasting their money like that. Why we even need that many blushes anyway. Most of the lauches even have some of similar looking shades only formula are different.
I think in Part - 2 you should add this too. Companies in the name of affordable and with cute packaging making people to buy this kind of stuffs.
I am sorry if I hurt someone's feeling. But I truly think peoples are just wasting their hard earned money in this way..

As a person with extremely dry skin, if I don't use the toner made especially for my skin type the the product don't get absorbed properly into multiple layers of skin, applying toners multiple times in a routine and then just follow up with a moisturizer is always better for extremely dry skin cuz it deeply conditions and hydrates the skin.

I'm yet to learn a lot regarding my combination skin, i fear adding additional steps since my skin is comedone prone.. With all the hype around Tonymoly toners I was tempted to buy it this time but I stopped myself since I cannot commit to a 500ml bottle.. Thought a lot about using it on my hands and feet if it didn't suit my face but couldn't be convinced! I haven't used a toner ever and didn't feel the need other than the glass skin desire! I will turn 25 in two months.
Korean toner like mineral water or fermented water or exfoliating toner, they really work
