Subscribed. Now it feels like UA-cam is all filled up with Blender tutorials. so solid Maya content will be greatly appreciated.
Very true. It's like the program is some kind of mysterious secret nobody in the industry wants to reveal. lol
@@slykhajiit2 lol XD I'll be sure to create more Maya content and reveal all the secrets I know!
@@crafthive Thank you!
Thanks for the great tips, not sure if it is intentional but the voice channel for this vid is heavily dominant in the left speaker, at least for me, thought you should know! Subscribed so look forward to more secrets aha.
Glad you enjoyed it! Noticed the sound issue too late :/ I'll be sure to get that fixed on the next one
Top video. I liked the pace and the length of the video especially. Keep up the good work!
You can access the polycut in the multicut tool tool settings. It creates the same node you're building with the mel command.
Can you? I'd be curious to know how. To my knowledge Multi-Cut creates a polySplit node rather than a polyCut node, which can't be animated as easily in the channel box the same way polyCut can to create 'reveal' effects, and I'm unaware of another way to create a cut node.
Awesome thanks for these!
Thanks mate,
Very nice ❤❤
Great tips for animation

Not really a huge tip, but did you know shift-rmb while sculpting is the marking menu for sculpting brushes?
Yes, was planning on making a vid specifically about marking menus, but there are already so many of them that exist. Think I might focus on some other more useful content in the near future.
Marking menus are super helpful to speed up workflows and I encourage everyone to just try 'shift/ctrl' -rmb'ing in every context just to see what's available :D
I discovered poly duplicate when i was messing around with Soup nodes, it's also called one way instance.
Instead of using Tab ATTR COPY, u can simple select both objects and use Match Transformation.
This is absolutely true! Tab Attr copy can still be used to copy specific transforms, like if you only want to copy Scale X, Y and Translate Z for instance
@@crafthive Sure, Match Transform also has option menu to specify what to use.
@@TheIcemanModdeler Interesting! I wasn't aware there was an option to specify how to match transform a specific axis like 'Rotate.X'
@@crafthive I think they added that in a newer version, will double check.
@@crafthive Confirmed only in the latest version of Maya, 2020 doesn't have per axis.
Nice tips! Love this type of video
Thanks, very useful tips!! (may I say that your video will look better if you enable the antialiasing in Maya) Cheers.
Fair enough, I'll be sure to keep it enabled on the next one (;
Who are You, Who are so Wise in the Ways of Science?
Is it just me or the audio is only the right side ?
Yeah it was an issue with the way audio was recorded for this video
nice tips, but bad presentation. imho
