I worked at several stores and **News Flash** Jess, fruits are always falling on the floor in the supermarket's back room... They just pick it up and put it back in the package... That's why ppl have to wash their produce really well when they get home... You should have picked it up by hand and acv wash them really well and let dry (it will not have the avc taste)...
