Nice one, and solid content, Ben. Just FYI, I haven't cleaned my laser head yet, lol. And for templates, I always stuck with 9mm ply or mdf. Good info on the setups as well
Cheers mate! I made a spoil board with all the trimmings, about a 30mm runtime and BOY was it filthy, MDF is shocking. I only go 12 mm when I have to use the big 1/2” router for extra support, but yeah like you mostly 9mm 👍

Ply and MDF are some of the hardest materials cut because of the glues.

The software is more the issue now, XCS is basic, and lightburn is to buggy to use with xtool, not to mention missing key features.
@@HewAndAwe shame no one gets it right, the propriety softwares should be feature packed by now. Can’t be that hard to knock off and iron out bugs
@dainermade they’ve just released a update and it’s even worse 🤦🏻♂️ lots of complaints in the xtool group!

Maybe you can catch them and ask to change the module, they’re crazy expensive on their own. I looking into the IR laser for metal etc and thought yeah, sod that, I’m not that keen 😂

We should bang heads dude, maybe come up with something I wouldn’t have thought of, it’s a cutter to me with some scope for things to do for peeps friends and stuff.
@@HewAndAwe sounds like a plan m8 the combs a sent ya a think done out a nice hardwood could be a good seller but there's certainly scope for something. Am possibly getting a 10wat but not sure what it'll be like 🤞🤞
