Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl..... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

Laughed out loud when kerry bit the fry after the snarky question. 😂😂 my husband and I did harmony of the seas and overdid the main dining room - freedom seems perfect for us and I bet we’ll choose all the other dining options and be more casual next time - way more fun in my opinion! We did a royal up from a junior suite to a grand loft suite on anthem in 2021. We bid £140 each so £280 total. It was the best experience we ever had while cruising and the genie was great.
Just finished watching your video. As always we really enjoyed it. Great job handling that snarky dinner time question. We are in our early 60s and enjoyed having wings and beer at Playmakers on Oasis as well as the snack shack on Coco Cay. So we 100% agree with your statement that everyone can do what they want on a Royal ship. We watch a-lot of cruise vloggers and you two breath new life into the content. Thanks for your videos.

Pro Tip: The smell in the Schooner Bar is the tar/treatment on the mast ropes decor. It's there to be reminiscent of a smoked bourbon or Old Fashioned drink. Ask the bartenders next time you are at a Schooner Bar what it is and they will tell you to smell the ropes. Reminds me of the burning scene in Spaceship Earth :) Very cool, one of my favorite places on the Freedom Class.

Freedom was my first cruise back in 2017. She is special to me-I love her!!! Playmakers was not there or the cabanas up on deck…you guys lucked out on that room , just amazing!!!Fireworks from your balcony are going to be spectacular. Can’t wait for next video- I do want to get back on Freedom soon. Going on Wonder next I can’t wait !!! Well going back to finish your Norway cruise. Keep having fun❤

I love the freedom of the seas I was just on that cruise right before you guys. I got off on December 23. I was on twice last year and it's by far my favorite ship. It's fun to see some of the same crew members I saw while I was on in your videos

I can tell you exactly where the smell is coming from in the Schooner bar! I made the mistake of brushing up against some of the decorative ropes they have in there. An oily residue got on my sweatshirt and I smelled like the schooner bar the rest of the day. 🫣 So next time you’re in the as boomer bar, sniff one of the ropes. 😜 They also used to serve a version of the campfire cookie in the main dining room on 7 night cruises about 5 or so years ago. Definitely my favorite dessert!

I just got off of Independence on Friday, and spent a lot of time playing trivia at the schooner bar. The smell is the faint scent of people smoking, as the casino is right next to it.
The smell in Schooner bar is designed to resemble "pitch and tar". In wooden hulled ships of the past pitch was mixed with oakem to be pounded into spaces in wooden hulls to made a waterproof seal. All Schooner bars have the simulated smell. Also, I had to stop the video and get something to eat because the chicken tenders and campfire cookie you ate at Playmakers made me hungry!
I liked that play makes was open later then other restaurants.

Cadiz is in Spain, Royal sends some of its ships there for their Dry Dock. (all Oasis class ships as it's big enough to accommodate them + some others)

We had 7708 Five doors down on Freedom 1/27-1/30, and we went on the same cruise on the Wish. When you said something about daylight saving time, and the medical emergency on Castaway I knew it was the same crusie. 11/4-11/7. ( The Medical Emergency was the person that passed away on the ship)

We loved the Wish, but wasn't a fan of the Freedom.
We just got off the Wonder of the Seas, but it's had too many people.

Hello also love the Freedom class of ships. Was on a New Years Cruise on Mariner of the Seas 2013 from Galveston. And like your aft facing cabin. We booked one on Celebrity Reflection May 2024 birthday cruise. Love your video this time especially the aft views. Question : What type of video equipment do you use for your videos?
Between early January of this year and May of 2024, we will have taken our first four Royal cruises ever, and on Four Different ship classes: NAVIGATOR (Voyager class) in Jan, 2023 to Mexico; OVATION (Quantum class) in June, 2023 to Alaska; OASIS (duh! Oasis class) in Oct,2023 to the Bahamas…and finally LIBERTY (Freedom Class) in May, 2023 to Bermuda and San Juan….Guess we gotta try ICON next (because I don’t think I want to try anything smaller than Voyager..)

Doesn't it have a restaurant that you can get a time to eat at a certain time every night we are going on a Carnival Cruise in September and we eat every night at 6:00!!
Also if you haven’t gotten this dinner question (only if you haven’t gotten it), what do you play at the casino to get offers? I’m guessing slots since I’ve heard those are tracked much better than table games.
That’s a good question! Slots are the best to get points (and how we get most of ours) Besides slots we play roulette, which is much harder to get points and seems to depend on how much the dealer likes you 😆 Lately we’ve been getting free cruise offers every week, it’s nuts
@@Views-And-Queues figured! We got a couple free cruise offers when we did slots but since we haven’t been in a royal cruise in a while haven’t gotten anything (obviously). Also have you guys ever done the royal shareholder benefits? It’s tempting, especially if you go on a lot of cruises.

Do you both have a cruise countdown routine? I leave for a cruise in about 25 days and I’ve been planning it for about a year. Now that it’s getting closer I’m trying on clothes, making sure dinner reservations are secure, mapping out places on the ship I want to hit up IMMEDIATELY. I’m definitely THAT type who writes down checklists and has packing cubes etc…my boyfriend is definitely the type who will pack the night before.
This is a good dinner question! Packing definitely gets us hyped for the cruise, we try to do it early but most of the time it ends up happening the night before 😆 Some times we have a countdown in our kitchen counting down the days. We always watch cruise vlogs the week of to get excited. That’s awesome you’re less than 25 days away! Hope you have a great cruise! 😁

Have you guys gone to coastal kitchen since you guys are always staying in suites?
In regards to your Drone . Is there certain rules that you must follow on Royal Caribbean to bring it onboard? Alot of Cruise Lines don't allow them.
Royal and Celebrity allow them but they cannot be flown from the ship or at any of their private destinations. When at other destinations you have to follow the local laws of that country
What are those neck pouches you both are always wearing? They look so much more convenient than a lanyard ID neck pouch.

Hey you guys! OG subscriber of your channel here lol!! I have a dilemma. I need to choose between 2 royal cruises. The first itinerary on oasis of the seas goes to - Labadee Haiti, St Thomas and Perfect Day (is the chicken sandwich really that good? lol), and the second one on symphony of the seas goes to - Aruba, Curacao and Labadee Haiti. Which one would you recommend? We've never been to any of those places before, but I know you guys have been to all! Thank you :)
This a great dilemma to have as both options would be amazing! We’ve debated this and we think the Oasis sailing wins slightly. When comparing islands, St Thomas is slightly better than Aruba. (both are amazing though) And we think a day in CocoCay is better than a day in Curaçao. (but we still thought curaçao was great when we went) Comparing the ships, they are probably pretty equal, but Oasis does have that new BBQ place we’ve been wanting to try.
