Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal.... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

@@RobbieMathieson Funny part for me is I live in US, but affording the cruise is a different story. And can't just drop everything for best price.
We first went there was nothing there but loungers an a couple cafeteria style serving tables...ship had to anchor and you went on island in a tender, fast forward 15 years and voila! It's not as authentic castaway island now but way more fun, you'll love it! Next cruise will be our 7th trip to Coco Cay.

Nothing wrong with you, that is the great thing with food, it is subjective. Great thing about Coco Cay, you can get both. I am getting the surf and turf at the Beach Club. Love your videos. Was hoping that you would upload before we went on Anthem. So we went to the Beach Club and loved it. Birthday cruise for my husband, so we were planning on being on chill. And this was exactly that. The lunch was so good, we went Bahamian lobster and the surf and turf. But naturally we got a chicken sandwich and funnel cake on the way out. Best part of the whole cruise. News from you two? 👀
While you were talking about the nostalgic sounds I turned to my husband and said that my favorite cruise sound of all time is the announcement bell, and then Brian mentioned it like 2 seconds later 😅 that bell just hits different 😂😂

YAY how exciting the Disney Wish! I can’t wait! I’ve been wanting to go but the prices have been really insane recently. And its funny you say we are all cruise crazy. I just told my husband today I need cruisers anonymous. I cant stop! 🤣 Oh well enjoy life!
Cruising is addicting! Yeah the Wish prices are very high, so glad we had a coupon for it!
Just got home from my cruise. Went to the Coco Beach Club. Wonderful experience, food and service top notch. But you should know there are Sharks, large Stingray's and even Baracuda's that come very close to the beaches edge. Going in the water? Wear water shoe's. Lots of things to step on including the stingrays. RC doesn't care to inform you how to interact with them.
We watch you every morning. You replaced the morning news. We love how you interact and all the fun things you do. Yay Starbucks! Cheers to Gus

Question: how do you guys find out all the things to explore on the ship? I just saw your video where you found X-ray in a painting and it showed the bridge live. We would like to add that on our cruise. Definitely going to start hiding ducks Thanks for entertaining and educating us seniors. Also love the idea of bringing pizza and desert to the show❤ when’s the wedding?????
We started hiding ducks a couple of cruises ago. Fun. We liked hiding them and sitting close by and watch people find them. Especially the kids. They get so excited.

Hey guys love your vids. Started watching for our Ovation cruise last year to Alaska. We now are booked on Odyssey in Feb '24 for 8 night Southern Caribbean, so watching your Odyssey cruise videos. Do you remember how far out you can reserve the Coco Beach Club ? Also, does a Jr Suite (J4) get you into Coastal Kitchen?
You’ll be able to go to Coastal Kitchen for dinner, but not breakfast or lunch. Not sure about beach club, I would probably check every week or so
Just got off independence last weekend! Tried the snack shack chicken sandwich finally, 8/10! Also independence goes into dry dock I think in January for 3 weeks we were told so you can steal your sign then! My gf pointed it out on our sailing and said look there’s Brian’s sign he would steal lol

RSLVTS shirts has em too and they are so cool, a little on the pricey said but I got my dad one that looks just like cool little beams of light on it but as you get closer it's actually lightsabers and characters from star wars fighting each other 😂

Haha it's like Hummus! But eggplant. I haven't been to Coco Cay since it changed to Perfect Day. And I don't eat steak either but Filet Mignon is the most perfect thing I've ever ate haha
It's always been KEY. I read a book once called The Caye and the author made a point about it being pronounced that way so RCCL is correct. That was 50 years ago when I was a kid. BTW, be sure and ask your waiter to heat your rolls. We have hot rolls every night on our cruises...they don't mind at all...mmmmm melted butter!!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter loves Jurassic park. She is a big nerd too. I always shop for her at BoxLunch. I made her a tshirt that says I have no shelf control. Cause she can’t stop buying books.

Some people use them for their sea pass card but we just use it for camera equipment. Hope you have a great cruise!

We enjoyed the beach club on our visit, until it thunder stormed so bad we had to go back to the ship without getting lunch. They need to make the eating area weather proof. People were eating wearing ponchos with rain pouring on them. I would like to go again but not until that change is made.

104 days to Oasis. Glad to see you guys had a great time at the Club. Looked at the price of Coco Beach Club. Its at $270 right now. That is NOT worth it.
BTW....they use different TIDE to clean the different beaches. Thats why the water looks better on one than the other. ;-)

In 2021 we paid $58.99 per person..,,our last Coco Cay cruise in December they wanted $249. Too much for just a filet or Fried Lobster sandwich and Oasis Pool is just as nice with a swim up bar. Unless they come back down like before, we will never do it again. It's lovely, but.....

Are the alcoholic drinks included at the beach club?
Only if you’ve purchased the Deluxe Drink Package. Otherwise you pay as you go, just like on the ship. That goes for the whole island, not just the Beach Club.
I personally call it Cococay but some people call it coco key
No offense, but the chicken sandwich is just okay. Good, but not great.
