When I was sitting and sorting through them, we met a woman who was also looking for Christmas things, so I was happy to share. I was shocked to find so many good ones, especially since those bins had already been ransacked! I guess the other people there were just not Christmas people. 🤷🏻♀️
We really did! I wish I turned the camera on when we first got there and scooped all those ornaments, but they were strewn everywhere in the bottom of the bins and I really needed both hands. =) We love that you are watching!! Thank you! 😘
I would have just taken the entire box of ornaments and candles home. They obviously were from the same home, and I wanted them to stay together! What great finds.
It was tempting! All of those ornaments were spread throughout the bottom of a bin. We collected them all and I was amazed that they were all still there (and mostly in perfect condition), since the bin had been out for at least 30 mins before we got there, so completely ransacked. You know me, I have to stick to my rules. I took what I knew I could sell, and made at least 1 woman super happy to have the ones I set aside. 💕

@ 14:17 those ornaments are at least 50 years old I believe. Pretty sure we used to have some very similar ones in the early 60's. Still do but we don't put up a big tree these days.

The gem tree is even more pretty since I've spread out all the gem leaves. 😍 My mom and sister touched up that little chip and my sister is so happy with that piece. I need to go to the Cuyahoga Falls bins! I went to the ones in Columbus on Friday (I was hunting for stocking stuffers at thrift places down there while my eldest visited some friends) and found some cows for my collection as well as a vintage Mousetrap game and some 78 record in good shape! But their bins don't come out with the breakables in boxes so it's very hard to find anything not destroyed. I also went to Tracy's Treasures yesterday and found some cool stuff there! Told her I learned about her from you! I had an auction pickup in Norton. Also down there is a small place with some fascinating stuff called the Norton Antique Mall, though it currently isn't a mall, it's just an antique shop. (The owner inherited it from his dad, who had booths in the building, thus the name, and he hopes to have it back to that again, but he hasn't managed to do that yet.)

I used to collect them when I was stationed in Germany so when I knew she was going I had her pick me up one. She FaceTimed me and I picked it out not even thinking about the price because they didn’t use to be so expensive. After she got it and I asked what I owed her she told me and I about fainted! 😂 I haven’t even seen it in person yet. When I get it I will send you a picture of it!
