Faith and Tammy Wynette- both from Mississippi, both have that beautiful Cry in their voice. I love Faith for the reason that she paused her career to raise her daughters and, keep the home fires burning.
Great reaction! One female singer I don't think you've reacted to is Kathy Mattea. She was a major star back in the day. I recommend either "Where've You Been?" or "Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses."
Don’t change anything I love your before and after dialogue. You’ve spoiled me for watching other reactors. Most of them talk through most of the song so they’re stopping the music every few minutes. I like hearing the whole song.
One of the best things you can do with anything country pre 2000s is find a live or at least an unplugged version of any one of the songs. The more produced it gets the more it loses it's earthiness.
Some background on Faith's career. She became, deservedly, very popular and had some crossover success. And the industry and media turned on her. "Not country enough", "uppity", and all other things they could to make her look bad. Tried to pit her against other female artists like Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride. So she basically shrugged, took her ball and went home. She wouldn't play their game. And her husband Tim McGraw released the song "Things Change" as an eff you to the industry.
I knew you would hate this video. Lol. I saw an interview with her talking about it once. The director had that idea because it was a trend for awhile. A bunch of people had similar videos waving the scarves around.
Yeah, I remember that being a trend in rock for a while too. If it had a female vocalist, it was that crap. I mean honestly, I think at least in the rock genre, Heart was the first I remember doing that, which is nuts, because Ann and Nancy Wilson have some of the best voices ever. - Keith
I think Keith and I are alike in wanting whatever artist you like, whether a vocalist or instrumentalist, to be the feature and not try to “improve” on their talent. Remembering George Strait as Dusty in the movie “Pure Country” where he got tired of all the fire, crashing rock guitars overpowering, flying over the crowd (talking about you, Garth!) and went AWOL back to the home place. Grandma Ivy put him right when she told him to just sit with his guitar and make the music like he used to. At the end when he did just that, it made me feel just like her live version did here. Good job guys.
We come for the comedy and banter, but stay for the reaction and insight. The bots can just suck it….or just continue to remind you that you left the door open. 😂 Personally, I love the complete honesty!! NOT EDITING, saying you don’t like a song if you truly didn’t enjoy it, or pointing out the few things you do enjoy about a song , critiquing the lyrics/instruments/ vocals, swapping to the live version to get rid of all the unnecessary background bs, being honest about the breakdown of a bourbon (even if Keith hates it lol)….that’s what we come here for!! Love y’all and appreciate all your hard work! Great reaction, as always!
I love that you talk before and after the music videos. You are basically the only reactors I’m still watching because I love your insights and opinions. I’m sorry the bourbon was so bad! But I’m glad the 3,99 euro beer was great. lol 😂 I think that is the hacker pschorr. We call it the heaven of Bavaria. Glad you enjoyed it. 😂 Greetings from Texas. 😂 The king and I are having a great time. We were watching your reaction on a nice nature hike today. 😂 Please continue talking. And yes, to live videos!

Hey I know you really like Faith Hill, you should check out her duet with Tim Mcgraw "it's your love". It was their first and in the music video she is pregnant with their first daughter.
If we didn't want to hear you talk, we'd just go listen to the original video of the song. You watch a reaction to hear the reactors talk. Some people I guess didn't get the memo. What I remember about the original video is I fell in love with her dress and almost had a copy of it made for me for an event. Unfortunately I changed my mind because she is 5'10, and I'm only 5'0 so it wouldn't have the same effect lol. That woman has some legs!
I really enjoyed today's reaction; definitely better live and the reaction to the bourbon was hilarious 😂. Please don't fix what isn't broken ( your reactions and the music)! Over engineering sucks as much as off pitch singing. Thanks again for the honesty and the entertainment.
I’m new here, new subscriber. Love Faith Hill and love the reaction. I’m not sure how you go about requests but you should check out Martina McBride- Whatever You Say 1999 live. She’s got some pipes. This song at the beginning doesn’t show them much but give it a minute. Some of her songs are controversial, although i love them and they show off her range better than most of her songs, I would stick to some of her other songs then move slowly towards her more controversial songs. I personally think that they should be talked about sung about, brought up about by any means possible. Stop dancing around certain topics and not make them uncomfortable to talk about.
I truly enjoy your reactions, so glad you do what you want, if I just wanted the music I wouldn't watch reactions. Since yall like rock/metal, Dan Vasc did a metal cover of Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On and it is great (not a react request, just think yall will like it).

The belting is what catches the ear, but y’all have no idea how hard those low verses are to sing. Not too many singers can do that and still have that upper range.
Your real reactions and the camaraderie that is not scripted is the best part about these videos! I'm so sick and tired of AI generated, scripted videos where they really have no opinions and just try to please the 'masses' I love you guys so much! You're so much fun and I rewatch you in the background late at night sometimes when I'm alone and up because it's nice to hear a human at 3 am when everyone is asleep. One artist you should listen to is Canadian singer/songwriter Gordon Lightfoot, he isn’t necessarily country but more folk I guess with a hint of country. But artists like Elvis Presley have covered his songs. I add a vote for his song Sundown, it is a fantastic song.
@@BourbonCountryReacts Toby Keith does an excellent live version of this song. I got to hear Gordon sing it at one of the last ever concert that he did.
