  • Imagine having to gather mud with your mouth and then using it with grass to build a nest! For Barn Swallows, it’s just an annual routine. Talk about a master architect. After selecting a mate and building a nest, eggs are laid. Once the young hatch out, imagine having to continuously zip through the air to catch insects to feed the babies. Speaking of the babies, check out their gaping mouths and fluffy feathers as a parent brings them morsels of food! Let me know in the comment section if you have Barn Swallows in your area. They are related to Tree Swallows and Purple Martins. Thanks for watching. Be sure to subscribe to my channel and share with others who enjoy learning about nature.
