I have been running spirt of inmost light and spirt of contact on my titan with the consecration slam. That goes hard and wipes out a room lol. I may have to try the spirit of severance. I didn't know melee procced it affect.
i swap between HOIL + star eater, HOIL + verity, and ozzy + verity. been keeping drop o dont have and only sharding duplicates. currently i am 34 of 64 collected for warlock. (i do not play the other classes)
I have about 30 titan class items with no spirit of severance/ spirit of contact I’ve been chasing so definitely exotic these can be focused. I have so many dupes that Bungie needs to be slapped 😂😂
i spent several hours testing spirit of star-eater/song of flame. and found out that song of flame star-eaters is worthless. let me explain. the whole "increases damage of ignitions" argument is false, it actually dont increase anything other than the melee and grenade. m 7k-12k gr 40-70k~.. the bonus to ignitions damage is coming from a weird bug from shieldcrush artifact mod and the solar wisp having a weird effect together. the ignition would scale from anywher from 36k-90k randomly. your better off using spirit of harmony/necrotic with perfect paradox and melee spamming trenchbarrel. on grasp ogre in one damage phase i pulled average of 4.1m compare to star eaters 2m just spamming the ability.
Well ive done it 3 times and the lack of duplication protection is crazy. I’ve gotten the same inmost claw roll on my warlock and not one Star eater for my Titan or warlock. I did get several Star eaters for my hunter who doesn’t need it because of the actual Star eater exotic. I gave up farming them.
If Xur continues to sell them weekly, you don't need to chest farm. Also, chest farming is hella easy. As is the Duality via LFG. Don't let a little barrier get in your way of these class items... they really are that good.

I really like spirit is caliban/syntho on my hunter. Paired with combunation blow and gamblers dodge it makes for a great ad clearing build.
Feel like that one is better with threaded spike but I’ve yet to get it and see for myself

Stag vesper is fun and while I haven't gotten it yet stag and Starfire seem good
Assasin and liars is also fun on hunter so you can run the stand dummy with the stasis slow

I run this in pvp.
caliban and verity is very cracked on hunter if you use dusk field nades with bold ending paired with buried bloodline it’s a perfect build

@Cordam. honestly base necrotic would be just fine for dps. Harmony x necrotic would be ideal for more supers though.
As a Titan I can't get myself motived to unlock the duo mission, let alone do it and start farming for them.

Spirit of osmiomancy has been nerfed too harsly to be viable. Hoil is the way to go
