For those wondering about why Quantum Break is not mentioned... no, QB is not part of the 'Remedy Connected Universe' (that's Alan Wake + Control, so far). This is due to the fact that Microsoft owns Quantum Break's rights, making a crossover with AW and Control very difficult, legaly speaking. Remedy owns both Alan Wake and Control, so they can do whatever they want with them, like put them in the same universe, for example.
BeUgLo97 WRONG! Quantum Break is part of the Remedy Connected Universe, but is not part of the focus. Alan Wake exists as an author in Quantum Break, Night Springs exists in Quantum Break, and AWE is painted all over the game. And Dylan, Jesses brother mentions Shifter Martin Hatch as Mr. Door. BOY YOU ARE SO WRONG, GO CHECK OUT REDDIT.
@@k29king1 ummm no... Remedy themselves have stated that only Control, Alan Wake and their next game in development are part of the RCU so far. The Quantum Break stuff you are talking about are just Easter eggs and cheeky nods to the fans, according to Sam Lake himself. It's like saying The Witcher and Assassin's Creed are part of the same universe just because there's an Assasin Easter egg in The Witcher 2. They're just nods. QB won't connect to the RCU because Remedy doesn't own the IP, Microsoft does. Remedy can't use that franchise because it doesn't belong to them. Max Payne and Death Rally aren't part of the RCU either.
A few other interesting things: Sarah Breaker joins the FBC at some point. In the first Alan Wake special, there is a cardboard cutout of Sarah that mentions her joining a secret society that her father was a part of, clearly the FBC. Mr. Scratch is still alive, and wasn't fully killed in Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Alice Wake reports being haunted by a demonic version of Alan (Mr. Scratch) five years after Mr. Scratch was supposed to be killed.
There is a segment in the dlc with Alan Wake writing about Jessies actions. Could it be that the Bureau of control and potentially Jessie exist as a result of Alans writing whilst trapped within the dark place? It's possible that Alan Wakes new story "Return" (being written in the dark depths of Cauldron Lake) is simply events taking place in the new Control game with Jessie being his invented main character. Exactly like how Thomas Zane wrote about Alan Wake and the clicker. Anyway, with Alan writing about Jessie and the Bureau of control investigating the paranormal and interdimensional activity Alan has created a link between the real world and the dark place, a link that he could use to escape back to proper reality. Perhaps this is what Thomas Zane meant when he told Alan he was close to escaping the dark place. I may be completely wrong here. Thoughts?
Alan said something like he need a hero to save him. And I didn't realized that Dark Presence and the Hiss are almost the same thing; the extradimensional entities that are unseen, bodiless, and capable of corrupt everything and everyone.
Alan wake and control made Remedy my favorite developer (Also loved max payne 1 and 2). Their games just have this unique atmospheric vibe. I just love it.
They recently confirmed that a bigger sequel to Control and a 4 person co-op spin-off called "Condor" are both in development. Alan Wake 2 are still rumors
Been holding off on Control so can't wait for the next-gen upgradable edition to finally release. Square Enix/Crystal Dynamics did a really amazing job on dissuading me from wasting money on Avengers.
I honestly want to believe all Remedy games takes place in the same universe,Even Max Payne....even though Quantum Break is owned by Microsoft while Max Payne is owned by Rockstar. Still It be awesome to see cross over between Quantum break and Control...Imagine the Mind fuckery if both gets combined.shame its most likely impossible.
We all know alan wake 2 is happening now guys.. i really hope they do a crossover game after that..with characters from Control, Alan wake and even Quantum Break if possible
with QB...let's say we can only hope as Microsoft is currently the owner of this game(damn it!). Luckily, it's like 99.9999% that we are going to see mrs.Faden in the next Alan Wake game. Or maybe we will see Wake in the next Control?
And no mention to the obvious links to *Max Payne* to both Alan Wake and Control? Not only that Max Payne was a "creation" of Alan and one of his best selling novel series he wrote, which we found numerous clues and easter eggs in Alan Wake, like the actual books in Alan's New York home and finding script pages that quote Max Payne monologues and are even narrated in Max's original voice, but also does Dylan tell us in Control that there was "a cop who was written by a writer, but that cop was actually real" was a direct reference to both universes. Kinda weak that the makers of this video didn't know this.
I did not play Alan Wake, back in the day. I'm hesitant to go back to older games. I'm often disappointed. I did NOT really like Quantum Break and I think that's why I was skeptical of Control. That and the reviews were kind of lukewarm for Control, but I REALLY liked Control a lot. I voted GOTY for Sekiro on Steam, but it was a tough decision. RTX ON.
Alan wake is a masterpiece In my opinion it’s slow at first but gets more interesting and then the climax is the best part just stick with it to the end it won’t disappoint you
we are getting in 2022, the ending in the AWE dlc of Control says they received a distress signal from Bright falls from the future and Alan wake says he will escape.
Quantum Break is owned by Microsoft, so unless Remedy plans on buying those rights (which I doubt) we won't see QB's world crossover with Alan Wake's and Control's. They're different universes. Remedy has already announced that their next game in development will be part of the RCU as well.
Connection is easy: They share the same old animation & 3rd person camera. They got evolved a little bit through this unrelevant game called Quantum Break but besides that nothing has really changed. But wait....Alain Wake is still way better than control
Alan Wake was such a great game back in the day. The story literally blew my mind. I’m glad it’s still relevant today
i did not even understand the story haha
It's repetitive as heck though...
I’m on this now, I found it on game pass for Xbox and loved it from the get go
One of my all time fav’s. Alan Wake and Bioshock were the best games from the Xbox 360 era. Both gems.
@@85wastedyears not as repetitive as cod multiplayer
Control is so underrated I loved this game so much.
Yes I wanted telekinesis my whole life so I can’t stop playing this game everyday
No, control is so overrated.
Veer Maratha I mean I think controlling someone would be pretty cool
Veer Maratha you must be fun at parties 🙄🙄
ManiacPR YES SIR WE BE GETTIN LIT
They actually referenced the Christmas light thing from Alan Wake in a voice line from Langston in Control, loved this DLC dude
He also said about how he was 'disappointed' that Alan killed Alex Casey on his book. Reminds me with that Harry Garett on Eps 6 Departure.
that was simon arish who mentions this.
@@Himan3huGaur nah pretty sure it was Langston
Haha yeah, that was really cool!

Quantum Break: Am I a joke to you
quantum break : become jokes😂😂😂
Quantum jokes: Break reality

Yes.
Excited for whatever Remedy are up to next. Although I love the Oldest House, I really want to go back to Bright Falls.

Well now we've got Alan Wake 2 💁 haven't played it yet, but maybe it has answers..
So the detective in alan wake 1 shes Jessie in control!?
Thanks for putting that bit about the Christmas lights for the people who played AWE dlc..
Wow so much work in the lore. This is why I love remedy
Alan wake and control made Remedy my favorite developer (Also loved max payne 1 and 2). Their games just have this unique atmospheric vibe. I just love it.

Great atmosphere vibe
'Alan Wake' is one of my fave games of all time.
Even before awe the dev outright stated that control and alan wake are in the same world
No one pays attention to Remedy, sadly:/

This is awesome! Thank you for the insight! Is Alan Wake still fun?
It is very fun! I'm about to finish it (my first time playing the game) and it is great!
We're getting into SCP territory here
Bought both dlc 2 Hours ago i like it very much
Alan Wake was AMAZING... Sad that people didn’t actually know about it but the game was just amazing. Haven’t played Control tho

I play Alan Wake today, thinking Alan Wake 2 is long time, but it's here today
I NEED MORE ALAN WAKE.
Don't forget about Quantum Break.
I remember alan wake. I loved that game!
we DEFENETIVE NEED A CROSSOVER GAME OF BOTH ALAN WAKE AND CONTROL SINCE IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!!!!!😱😱🤩🤩🤩
we might get Control 2 featuring the Writter event as or heroine is trying to find him to help save her brother

Max payne is referenced in Alan wake semi-sequel.

Loved alan wake a great game from the 360 era
I can see why the waited so long that the current gaming landscape involves Ray Tracing, so I guess lighting is key.
It seemed to be hinted at the end of the DLC that a new Alan wake might be coming...
Alan wake and Control are underrated gems
Jesse also quotes a poem by Thomas Zane, but they can't find any information on him and say he doesn't exist
langston also mentioned to jesse to use christmas lights haha
This is why control is a great game and a cool homage to the scp foundation
Now we need a Quantum Break connection now.
there are hints...sadly, QB isn't owned by Remedy. Seems like they created a "path" in case they can settle the matter with MS.
