- Vegans NEED To Know THIS - Dr. Michael Klaper Interview by HappyCow's Ken Spector.
Dr. Michael Klaper is an American physician, internationally-recognized teacher, and he speaks regularly on diet and health. In addition to his clinical practice and private consultations with patients, he is a passionate and devoted educator of physicians and other healthcare professionals about the importance of nutrition in clinical practice and integrative medicine. He advocates rearing children on vegan diets throughout their entire lifetimes, beginning with the vegan mother's pregnancy.
Dr. Michael Klaper graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1972. He served a medical internship at Vancouver General Hospital in British Columbia, Canada and received training in surgery, anesthesiology, and orthopedics at the University of British Columbia Hospital in Vancouver. Additionally, he was trained in obstetrics at the University of California Hospital, San Francisco.
As his medical career progressed, Dr. Klaper began to realize (true to what science is bearing out today) that many of the diseases his patients presented - clogged arteries (atherosclerosis), high blood pressure (hypertension), obesity, adult-onset diabetes and even some forms of arthritis, asthma, and other significant illnesses - were made worse or actually caused by the high sugar, high fat, high salt, overly processed, animal product-based, Standard American Diet (S.A.D.).
Dr. Michael Klaper is licensed to practice medicine in California and Hawaii.

Thank you, Happy Cow. What an amazing man. Thank you, Dr. Klaper for all you do every day.
superb advice at 17 minutes Dr Klaper.....a man who clearly practices what he preaches. Thank you.
He's understated, bright, wise, and helping a fucked-up world. Good questions. Thanks.
So grateful for Dr. Klaper. It's great to hear the truth from a physician's perspective. More people need to hear this! I also think it would be cool to go on one of those cruises serving the right food.
He's been a hero of mine since 2010! Michael Greger too...there are so many more....EAT the VEGGIES, SAVE the animals, your health & the planet!
Great interview. Many thanks. I liked the questions you asked. I also like that Dr Klaper takes the concerns of ex-vegans seriously and actually offers a possible reason as to why they feel better when they eat meat. Too many people, some plant-based doctors included, dismiss their experiences. Maybe his response will help them go vegan again in the future, with greater knowledge and the tools to break on through to the other side.
Dr Klaper being awesome as always!! Soooo glad to have doctors like him, Dr Greger, Dr Barnard, Dr Campbell, Dr Esselstyn, Dr Milton Mills and Dr Kim Williams :D!
He's fabulous! I think the first youtube I ever watched of him was his lecture on digestion...blew me away!
And Dr. Mc Dougall

Beautiful ppl 💕💔💓💗💖💟🇨🇦
Incredible man 😀
He is a sunshine.
Love Happy Cow and Dr Michael Klaper! Unfortunately most vegan restaurants still add lots of salts and oils to their fare unless you can either ask for steamed veggies or a salad.. Still better than a regular restaurant though.
L O V E ❤️❤️❤️ Dr. Klapper❤️❤️❤️
Ho waw the radiophonic voice !
What about getting iodine when I take synthroid for hypothyroidism
No one is ever "statins deficient".

Can anyone help me? I have many health problems. I am vegetarian but I eat processed vegetarian food. I'm 40 and I'm completely lost my life is a complete mess.
1) B12
2) Iodine
3) DHA (preformed)
Has he ever mentioned which brand DHA he takes?
What do people think of Dr Berry, someone lying out of the 2.
Here's a local Chicago cardiologist doctor speaking about a vegan lifestyle - he's a great doctor and very down to earth. Maybe MooZine will consider adding this to a future release: ua-cam.com/video/qIFydM9nqVs/v-deo.html
Great interview Dr. Klaper!
Are you sure its not marg and cooking oils clogging the arteries not meat?
You are in denial. Vegetable oils aren't healthy, but they have been shown over and over again to be less unhealthy than the saturated fat in animal flesh and bodily secretions, which, by the way, also contain cholesterol and toxins. Try to open up your mind to the reality that feeding yourself with the carcass and bodily secretions of tortured animals, while supporting the factory-farm industry with your hard-earned dollars, is good neither for you, nor for animals, nor for the environment.
@@neriman8 You don't know anything about me to judge. For starters i was going to go vegan but have been sick my whole 23 years of my life with chronic candida, leaky gut and hypothyroidism, i could not go vegan as the candida diet restricts all foods converting into sugar and dairy and starchy veg like potatoes and all im left with is meat and eggs and cabbage. Plants also contain oxalates (toxins) and with a leaky gut and low good gut bacteria they will pass through holes in my intestines into my organs and joints and this is not good, Sally Norton has info on oxalates. There is no proof meat is bad for us its processed meat that is bad and we eat too much meat. Going vegan aint good for everyone.
@@kayephillips7256 Funny, since I healed Hashimotos/hypothyroidism, hormone imbalances, candida issues, and still healing frozen shoulder by being plant-based and now no oil plant-based.
@@itsaplantlife9850 Good for you it's is confusing how what works for one person is complete opposite for some one else, you don't know what to believe. Did you candida go before or after treating hypothyroidism as i have reverse T3 and don't know if i should treat this first.
@@kayephillips7256 Hashimotos was the first thing to reverse. About a year later it's when all blood levels were perfect for the thyroid spread. Nearly 2 years later my candida/gut/hormone panels began looking 👍. I'm sure it's individual how it works for each, but I have no doubt now that plants are the way for me to go. Good thing since I've hated meat since I was a kid and eggs gave me eczema issues.
For me, it took like two years or so, maybe three, for animal flesh and products to actually smell disgusting. The smell of cooked poultry, birds, eggs, cheese, pork like is so freaking gross now. I remember loving the smell of bacon, now it makes me want to vomit. Even the fat in the air from cooked meat makes me run. I feel like my skin and lungs are being coated with rotten flesh, YUCKY... I can't believe I used to love this stuff.
A vegan cruise does not seem vegan...
Listen Dr.Mcdougall only.Other Vegan doctors are very far below to his geniusness.
Strange that he seems to be suffering from dementia.
It couldn't possibly be his diet though
@@galahadthreepwood hahahahah..Dementia...
