This truck looks fantastic, I like the transmission and center diff, 1 cover each to access the internals. Very adjustable and seems super stable. Definitely picking one up.
FINALLY! A company finally got a solid axle monster truck right. 1/8 drivetrain with 17mm hexes and wheels. This truck literally needs no upgrades, and the CUSH drive on the transmission. SOLD! 3150kv is the perfect amount of power for this truck.
That's exactly what I was thinking! I'm going to get a couple of the Roller chassis's and one might be used just so that I can take the axles from it. I remember last night on a livestream with a couple of guys from Losi saying that eventually be able to get the axles separately.
When I came across and saw this truck appear on UA-cam more than once I knew it was matter of just a very short time that you guys would get your hands on it. I'm glad it looks like it's going to working well for your guys's style of monster trucks and possibly looking forward to getting one myself. 👍😎
These LMTs are amazing. I saw one running a bike track earlier this week. Just saw about six in stock at my local RC shop today too! Definitely scooping one soon.
If you want to see how the axles break go watch CCxRC and his buddies tear a couple of them up. You handled that jump and landing correctly once at about 12:14.
Been watching these for a year. The price is only going up, but an smt kit was cheap a f the other day for a reason. Axial will do something with ryft axles soon I'm sure
I heard the body needs re-inforced bcuz the rear back sides tend to fold ,i just ordered 1,so ill see how it holds up,im glad to see losi came out with this truck, love losi,i have losi truggys both nitro&brushless, they make good products.
I trust you're guys review knowing there's a TON of custom rigs that race Trigger King. Was waiting for whatever new release was coming before buying my next rig, and this will be it based on this (and Tony @CCxRC) reviews. Have a Rock Rey and am a huge fan!! Good job Losi/Horizon!! I'll be keeping my Smt10 as a Sport Mod, then getting this as a Pro Mod, and eventually a Clod for Retro. Side question, where do the Cen 150s fit into TR classes? Guessing Sport Mod with a 17t motor or pro Mod with brushless. But is there a way to have one be Retro? Thanks for the content!! 🍻👍👊
Damn if only it was released 2 years ago before I threw so much money into my trash solid axle MT which breaks on every single ahah ! Just ordered one ! Cant wait for aftermaket hopups
@@TriggerKingRC This truck has definitely sparked a new fire for me to get back into messing with my trucks. I still plan on getting a couple of the Havoc chassis's for some of my Bigfoot builds, but I'm definitely excited to see what this Losi LMT gonna do for us guys who are true solid axle monster trucks guys.
Missed you at Enfield CT. on the 17th/18th Nov. Wish you had kept on driving. Maybe next year? I pre-ordered this Losi at my local hobby shop" Hobby Quarters" in Foxboro. First in line. My son races at RCMTC . They started a new class they call"Challenger". Shocks and sway bars on axle, 2s, 3800kV or 10.5 turn, (no 550 can), full cage. This truck looks like it"s good out of the box. Your sure right about building these trucks. Two grand is easy to spend to compete with the RCMTC drivers.(And your clubs drivers). Do you think this truck is most of the way there in either Challenger or Pro Mod? Look forward to racing with your club. Maybe I can bring Chris to one of your races this summer. (vaccine?)
I love mine I have no complaints at all it’s a screamer , I’ve used a 3cell but like the 2s a lot better I’m hoping someone comes up with a lot of hop ups I will trick this monster out
Great review!! This looks awesome! I have one arriving on Friday. Your math is a bit off. If it weighs 12lbs with batteries it is 1/1000th scale weight of the 12k lbs real truck. It would have to weigh 1k lbs to be 1/10th scale weight 😀
Haven't paid this much attention till now. I can't justify purchasing another truck while my sport mod and retro projects are gathering dust, but I'm anxious to see what you guys do with them for the next season. If the aftermarket is there, I might just relegate my SMT10 to the parts bin For those of you without 600 dollars to burn, nows a great time to get a used SMT10!
Hi! i have been a Monster Jam fan since i was 4 and i cant really afford this truck tho. should i use almost all of my allowance for this. I am the biggest Monster Jam fan!
@@TriggerKingRC with a spec class by using the ESC and motor of kit and 2s battery then it comes down to tuning and driving not who has the bigger motor or ESC or what ever. Now with the Roller if a person was to run the same esc and motor( not same spec but SAME ie spectrum) then one can run the black frames and use different bodies but still same spec other wise. Not sure if you will spec out servo too. but having a truck where chassis and shocks and suspension and electronics are basically the same then close racing would be had. in the over all scheme would also give alot of bang for the buck with this truck. I do not see the need for a ton of wrenching with the 2S spec
Hi good job . What about venting tires for water ? i think it’s not necessary to drill holes in the tires the manual explain only to flip over the vehicle and spin the wheels a couple of time. Let me know what do you think thanks . I have to buy maybe this monster in the future 😄
I must admit, I've never been much of a monster truck fan, but this little truck has me excited about it. But, I feel this truck would have been better served as a 1/6 or even 1/5 monster truck. Now that, is what I would call, a monster truck. That being said, I am still digging this monster truck, a lot. But I hope Losi is planning on coming out with a larger version. if the reception to this truck is anything to go by, a 1/5 version would literally sell itself.
Would you sell me this used rc truck for my sons bday? I cant afford a new one and my boy loves monster trucks. I can pay for shipping. Let me know sir?
That and the truck/body just looks too low. Reminds me of a spin master monster truck the way it looks. Wish they made a truck a little more like the smt10 just beefed up. The smt10 just looks way more scale and for $300 less it almost seems worth it to just get the smt10 and modify it
@@sofghost6663 it depends how you drive I guess. For me could spend £1,000,000 on the smt10 and it still breaks. The axles are just too small and weak. The diffs are also weak, even upgraded. This truck has fixed everything I think. If you run 2s and brushed or mild brushless, OK the smt10 is fine. It will break but not too often. If you run 3s though or a powerful brushless system they can barely last 1 battery pack. This losi looks like I could go all day
@@LawrenceTimme well I mean if other wheels can be run on the LMT and still clear the carriers and steering arm the shocks could be mounted lower on the chassis to raise the body/chassis i guess. I just wish losi added more of a scale chassis look. I guess its still early and upgrades mods may come out to Taylor to peoples wants/needs
@@LawrenceTimme yea a mix between the 2 would be ideal tho. I'd love the axial but with steel tube chassis/frame,bigger 4 link bars, steel driveshafts, thincker axles/diffs,sway bars, and the gearbox/motor setup from the losi lmt. That to me would be an amazing scale/freestyle truck
Love this truck but the faded stickers on the sides look terrible. Why has this been let onto the market like this.....such a small thing to get wrong. I will buy the Grave Digger purely because it will bug me like that.
I agree. I think they should have held off the release until they got those decals looking a bit better and not so faded compared to the rest of the paint. And bring the bodyshell more to the correct dimension and not so wide and square, but its too late now i guess lol.
Sorry, it’s nothing like a real monster truck! it doesn’t give you the fantasy of driving a real monster truck. Heck, playing a RC car is not even in the same league of driving a real car. Don’t get wrong, I like RC’s, but I prefer the real experience on driving a real car. It’s more expensive, but it’s way more worth it.
These rtr’s just keep getting cooler and cooler
i miss kits.
A lot of reviews out but yours is the one I looked forward to. Y’all are the solid axle experts IMO.
First new truck i have been excited about in a long time. I want one
Can't wait for alllll the hop-ups!
Just ordered mine, waiting for it to arrive !! I can't wait to thrash with it !
I haven't been this excited about an RTR in a whilee. Thanks for sharing.
This truck looks fantastic, I like the transmission and center diff, 1 cover each to access the internals. Very adjustable and seems super stable. Definitely picking one up.
Losi is simply the best. Great development team. Not all hodge podge together from other platforms.
Losi LMT is on the top of my list, I have over 30Rc’s and with five of them being monster’s! LMT is most definitely the top dawg in my herd.
Props to the camera person river took this video really cool flow motion jump that was amazing his truck is very cool nice video

This thing does what I wished the original Axial monster truck would
The blue MT with blue light is sooooo awesome!!!
Thank you for the detailed overview.
$200 off today @ HH. Ordered mine! Can't wait!
I definitely want one down the road. I would definitely have to add 4WS.

Is this a limited realese or will they be around in 2 years.
This is not a limited release. Of course, who knows what happens in two years but I would guess this truck stays in production for a very long time.

How do you set the punch on the losi lit grave digger
Is the wheelie bar removable?
Imma wait a few years until the price goes down a bit before i actually get it. $600 is wayyyyy too high for me

It won't come down THAT much.
It’ll go up in price or be discontinued.
Y'all figured out what if any after market bodies fit it? I appreciate your reviews and time, happy holidays T. King.
It is looking like most bodies will, other than a few of the shorter ones made for a stock Clod Buster.

How do you prevent the tires rubbing on the trailing arms on an smt10? I have set end points but the turning radius is too wide.
You can use a wider offset wheel or a wider adapter if using JConcepts Tribute wheels.

I think the chassis plates are stamped not machined. It’d be a very expensive truck if each were machined.
2:08 1/1000 scale when it comes to weight. Monster jam trucks definitely don’t weight 120lbs
