2s is for driving the truck like a real Monster Truck. 3s is for being a wildman. The servo should be your first upgrade, go with something they has over 500oz of torque and anywhere from .09 to .11 speed. It'll wake the truck up.
@techpriest4787 Not necessarily. I've seen fully built tube frame replica trucks win Pro Mod brackets. They land well with all the weight, get the power to the ground faster. I have 550 can Brushless motors in my heavier trucks that have no problem at all pushing the extra weight around.
I really really really want a RC Grave Digger, the LMT is the best looking one, but I just don't feel like it's worth the price... 650 Dollars. First thing, I wished it was just a little bigger scale than what it is, secondly it's top heavy and flips over way too much and no way is it going to go up steep hills without flipping back, especially if you need to throttle it a little hard to get it to jump up over the hill onto the surface. Also, from all the video's I've watched which is like 30 videos or more now just of this RC, it seems to break a ton, so really you paying more like 800 dollars cause it's going to break easily, but these RCs weren't made for skate parks as shown in this video and a lot of other LMT GD videos, I'd say this is more of a dirt RC and trail but regardless, it keeps breaking. I'd gladly pay 350 dollars for this however, especially if Nick ever wants to sell it. I just got into this hobby a month ago with the Arrma Kraton 6s, I loved it so much I bought a Arrma Fireteam 6s and I gotta say my Fireteam is my favorite between the Kraton 6s and the Fireteam. Actually I lied, I bought a 1/10th scale Toyota FJ Cruiser since I drive a beautiful black 2014 FJ Cruiser and think it's the best looking vehicle on planet earth, but I'm not counting it as like hobby grade, or something I'm gonna go around bashing, so yeah the Kraton and Fireteam are my first adult RCs with the fireteam being more my style since I rather take it off road and up hills and not at skate parks, and both vehicles won't break like this LMT Piece of shit tho it does look amazing, it's just not worth the price tag sadly, hopefully Losi drops the price, or comes out with a bigger Grave Digger. Can you guys make a video comparing the size of the LMT GD to a Kraton 6s and other vehicles? It seems on par with the max
Nice first run with the LMT. I think 3s will really liven it up but even on 2s it looks like tons of fun. Incredible RC for sure. The ESC is good for 4s but I have no idea about the motor but it's a beast for sure. Great job. Totally enjoyed the video. 👍🏁
Yep, 3S is a ton of fun at skateparks but I still enjoy 2S just rippin around! You’re right about the ESC, the motor is only rated for 3S though. I’ve heard you can make it work, just have to really watch the temps. I think that would be way too much power for the truck but I’m a slow speed guy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@A2ZRC Thanks for the great information. Most of my cars are 3s anyways and the LMT is plenty fast on 3s from the videos I've seen. This actually works out good because I'm going to switch up to a spectrum smart charger and batteries to simplify things. Maybe later some day I will get a 4s rig like the Outcast but I think the LMT will probably keep me plenty busy. Besides a 4s car would be hard to film. My 3s Typhon is hard enough to keep in frame and drive while driving. 👍
Dude. I wanna build a custom Digger Nitro but I wanna make sure the body fits good and not weird. Tmaxx, Savage or convert that to nitro. What a project!
i won a King Sling in a raffle , started on 3S and it's pretty wicked....4S is insane! Now i'm shopping for some big Monster Jam style tires for it... hope its proving to be fun times for ya! cheers
Nice rig, but 3s is a must, now I understand the ridiculously expensive metal axle upgrades by treal or vitavon... And no brake would certainly help. The steering needs a serious boost, too, maybe like 10mm hub extensions? I know the hub extensions were mandatory on the redcat kaiju, or just plan on barrel rolls everytime you turn over 20mph... Great video, honest, looks promising! Eager to see you run it on 3s!
I had this smallest son of a digger and I just got the grave digger large size today. I had the Traxxas gravedigger I still have it but it’s 12 or 13 years old and even with a new battery it’s not as fast as my newer trucks. So I wanted a new grave digger, so even at $659 I bought it and I actually may get the full-size son of a digger as well. It’s expensive a lot more than the Traxxas version but it’s the only option right now for gravedigger. I’m gonna put this grave digger against my new Bigfoot. I want to see if there’s any difference between a $260 truck & a $665 truck
And I know one is four-wheel-drive and one is 2 Wheel Dr. but I just got a really nice Banchee by redcat 1/10 size and that is not only four-wheel-drive but it’s also four-wheel steering and I only paid $135 for it. It’s one of my favorite trucks for sure right now.
Yeah it’s without a doubt the best scale monster truck on the market, but for scale monster truck driving. It’s not an xmaxx. You’re not wrong that some of the cost is for the licensing though
