Hello Karen you have inspired me so much. I live in Johannesburg South Africa. I am 72 yrs old. There were so many painting jobs to do and also cleaning the toilet bowl. I have been making excuses. But when I see how hard you work I got stuck in and spent the day cleaning and also started doing some painting. So keep up the videos coming. You are amazing!

I picked up an old street sweeper broom and drilled a hole for a metal pole at a 45 degree angle and had a metal plate welded to the pipe to keep the broom off the ground and the broom just slid over the top of the metal pole and the cattle loved brushing up against it, it also kept them brushed out real nice never had any manure clumps stuck on them.

Get yourself a three pronged fork. Lighter and much easier to use for bale silage than the four prong which is fine for chopped pit silage.

Respect to your dad also, there's a lot of people that would just give up on what they love doing. But he's not letting anything stop him from doing what he loves. Great video again, your going to do really well here on UA-cam I've got that feeling. Already looking forward to your next one.

    Hiya karen,
Great video; thank you. As a disabled person; I've been on elbow crutches for about 20 years now. Anyway when you are disabled; it's wonderful to be needed if only for your brain now. So keep asking your dad for help, it may help him. It does help me.
    Stay safe, Steve...

Stumbled across your channel Karen and fair play to you and your dad for running a tidy ship. Great to see the passion you have for farming. Just a tip for you when using the chain saw or hedge cutter etc. please invest in a decent pair of gloves, hard hat with a face guard and protective trousers as I had an accident in November with a hedge trimmer. If I was wearing a decent pair of gloves I might have come off better.

Karen, great seeing you and your father working together! He has so much knowledge to pass down to you 💜 With respect to the “pole saw”, you made great work with that. I am excited as we just purchased our first pole saw and this winter I am looking forward to trimming our “apple trees”, while they’re in their dormancy. Be Well!!

When it comes to survival, we are visual animals. As a species, our eyesight is our most developed sense. We have a stereoscopic sight that can detect a wide variety of colors and shading. This, in turn, lets us see easily see patterns and movement. These combined abilities allowed us to avoid becoming dinner while trying to get dinner for ourselves. Our vision helped us to physically succeed, and it still does today.

I think I noticed a mouse on the pathway behind you when you were scraping up, but it may have been a bird. Please consider some safety glasses when you use the chainsaw, even if its an extended one, as a small piece of wood could easily damage an eye.
