My step father was a fantastic welder, but that was all he did. He did that for 60 years. 50 years starting in the military then worked for a company. Then he welded for 10 plus years after he retired. Your welding has that same knowing, that same, "figure custom design out", ability. I really enjoyed watching it because of how you presented it. I really liked watching my step dad do welding projects too. He knew I would never weld and yet took the time to explain the process to me. Glad you put this project on video. Thank you for taking me back to times when I bonded with family over welding projects.
Watching you figure things out and make them better than new reminds me of sitting in my dad’s welding shop and watching him. Not during the actual welding part but he’d say, “ok, look away”. I remember the smell, the sorted piles of scrap, the oily feel of the floor from all the various tear downs and rebuilds. I remember the tiny holes in his coveralls from sparks. Though he’d never let me have a try at it (because girls don’t do that kind of work) he explained everything. He told me anything is possible with levers, pulleys, and the right hammer, LOL. Being a farm kid in the 60s and 70s was the best of times.
Tyler, I am truly envious of your fabrication skills. Years ago, I served as a welding inspector, and I have to say that you would have made my job so much easier. Well done, youngster.
I'm sure you're a lot like me. So excited when you get something that needs fixing being given away! That was nice of Jeremy to give it away to someone that will give it new life 💙
I always love taking something that looks old and unusable, doing some repairs, whether that is welding, straighting, painting, or whatever and making it new again. You do that a lot from box scrapers, trailers, menure spreaders, or whatever, and I always love that. I just don't live on a ranch so I flip utility trailers for fun and profit. LOL Thanks for the inspiration and fun. I live vicarously through you! lol
If there's anybody who hasn't been watching your videos this one will convince them that this is NOT your first metal fabricating work - jam up work from start to finish! Love seeing you analyze and fix such a wide variety of projects.
My father was a welder for Todd Shipyards and was planning to have his own welding-on-wheels business. The truck was in the ally. Sadly he was on medical leave and passed. I was 6. What are the odds that I married a man whose father was a welder for Bremerton Naval Yard? I didn’t know the stories then and the man I married had my fathers birthday as well. Hadn’t really known that for years. Likely my father’s accreditations for “suggestions” makes me appreciate this channel. I spent 9 years on a farm and that’s the rest of it. This family is so appreciated.
As a farmer (past life) I welded broken-down equipment. Never knew there was such a difference in the welding rod. Love watching you, Weld. Such pretty results!
Nicely done! Wasn’t sure how you were planning to square things up, so it was a pleasure watching you do that aspect. Also thought that doubling up the bottom plate was an excellent idea. Definitely worth doing as it should provide additional support for that bottom plate. Looks like you’ve given new life to the pallet bracket, and those pallet forks looked to be in perfect condition already. You’ll get good usage from them!!
Yes, I noticed he even had that dorky looking hat they wear (backwards, of course !!). I was thinking that his wife certainly faces a major challenge on laundry day !! Tyler, check out Diesel Creek channel and tell me you don't get as grubby as Matt does on his channel !! Ha, Ha !!
I'm just a simple "city slicker" with absolutely NO welding experience !! You, my friend, make it look so simple !! I feel sure you went to welding school, at some stage or it's simply experience and practice !! Thanks for sharing as you are fast becoming my favorite channel !! Have a good day !!
Your use of the anvil is actually my only experience seeing a real life application of one. I’m a city girl and a 60’s child so my best exposure to one is all the trouble Wile E. Coyote had with them. So seeing one for me is hilarious. You also bring back a childhood memory of being told (yelled at) not to look at the welding light. Your videos illuminate that itch to do exactly what I’ve been told not to do, so thank you ? I guess. I also wanted to comment on the fact of Mrs Tyler not wanting to say “Farmer Tyler Ranch.”It’s so hilarious and defiant, as if you were trying to make her say “Uncle”. Respect
A young friend of mine, I'm 72, asked me if Tyler has all his fingers, toes and eyes. Yep, I responded. My friend stated Tyler is a great fabricator as well as good safety model. I consider the safety measures Tyler takes as important since he serves as a guide for others.
Thank you for sharing this video. Sure wish I had learned to weld when younger. But girls didn’t do that back in those days. Glad he told us what he was doing when he tweaked them. And then had faith in you to repair
I'd sell the repaired forks and buy a set that are adjustable width. This is very important for doing lots of different tasks beyond just lifting standard-sized pallets. I'm actually surprised these are made this way.
Great work Tyler. Ur work is just Amazing. Always good watching u do Incredible work. Ur Confidence and Aptitude is Tip Notch. Thank u so much for sharing!
Well, on our farm, I either milked the cow or made butter if I was outside so this is a little out of my league, but still interesting. You are really talented and know exactly what you’re doing! Great job FT!😊😊😊
Good Morning, Tyler! Windy 🌬️ today! Special Project! Pigeon Toe Fork! Interesting! Good Morning, Callie! Tyler, this is a great video for a Windy 🌬️ Day! I enjoyed learning how the project took place! Great Video! Thank-you so much, Tyler! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
YEAH!! Tyler❣️ Job Well Done❣️❣️❣️ You have to feel wonderful finally getting that job done for the forklift project done!! You probably get tired of me saying this Tyler, but this was another great video with a lot of education/explanation of why you do what you do and why you use what you use. My son is a welder and has been 20+ years and I’m going to send him this video Because this allows me to ask him questions and it helps me to understand his profession as well, so I thank you for that. He truly loves what he does and travels all over the United States to weld skyscrapers, and even recently a roller coaster in Phoenix, AZ. (a First).
wow awesome job FTR , love when you "have an idea", and it involves making or repairing rather than buying. hope to see new tool in action cuz this city gal has a hard time visualizing how it's used/connected 🤠
I really appreciate your videos. I, like you, would rather repair/improve something rather than throw away and buy new. I always say I have more time than money and the end result is usually better than what I can buy anyway. Keep up the good work.
Rock On Tyler! Just discovered your channel this last week. I have gone to the beginning and finally am caught up. Love the idea of running your own bulls. I think it will pay off. Really like the farm improvements also.
Good job. I inherited a ford 4630 tractor with a bush hog brand loader. Someday I want to weld skid steer quick attachment. We felt led to remove our tvs several years ago. Love your videos keep ‘em coming
I tried to help a contractor with an overloaded dump trailer start lifting to dump the contents. I should have removed forks and put on bucket, but in my haste tried to help him with the forks on. It was too much weight for the fork, which did not bend, but instead acted like a fulcrum and bent the base plate. I replaced these with a pair of Bobcat adjustable forks and offered the old pair to Tyler on a whim knowing he had the fabrication skills to fix them.
I have fabricated a lot of skidsteer tools for my own use. On the lower pin pockets, I add a length of 1/2 × 1/2 square bar flush with the retaining edge on the bottom side. The increased surface area helps reduce wear on the tool flange pins and quick attach pockets. Does anyone out there still use the smaller inset pockets? The first Case 1840 skidsteer I had used them.....
Great job. Tell u the truth I never want to weld that good. I know that's how you used to make your living, but if I welded that good I would never get to do my first love and trade Millwrighting. I would be stuck on some god awful job site welding or have every neighbor begging me to fix their stuff. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Thanks Tyler
Nice job as always 👍. Ever try Esab? This rod works great easy starts plus it is not as smokey. That's all I used to use was Lincoln welding rod. Plus some other brands.
Looks like you did another great job bringing life back into a piece of equipment. I’m wondering how you will use this. Perhaps we will see in an upcoming video.
Nice repair to make the forks usable again. It is incredible what the price of new & used implements are today. Quality of a lot of the new is nowhere near what it was & does not hold up to normal use.
Tyler great job there boy but now I need some extra learning experience I'm waiting for my tig welding lessons I wanna learn how to tig and and do some aluminum but I'll watch some other channels I just thought I'd give you a hard time
No matter what needs to be fixed, Tyler will always have an idea and 9.999 times out of 10 it works! Good job!
He is remarkable, isn't he.
And inspirational

Awesome, looks like you will be able to use them for a long time. Great video.
This is what I so admire about you. You take junk and turn it into something useful. You've got talent!
Good to see you always take pride in your work, well done.
I'm sure you're a lot like me. So excited when you get something that needs fixing being given away! That was nice of Jeremy to give it away to someone that will give it new life 💙

WOW... a U Tuber that knows how to stick weld! I could watch you weld all day long, THANKS!

Thanks for sharing your story, Rae.
You did a great job, Tyler I like watching you work in the shop also with the cattle have a good day and may God be with you
YOU are one resourceful young man . I hope some young people watch your videos.
As a farmer (past life) I welded broken-down equipment. Never knew there was such a difference in the welding rod. Love watching you, Weld. Such pretty results!

👌 NICE WORK YOU ARE THE MAN
Another nice repair job. Tyler you're very talented and your knowledge of welding gives you a step advantage over the average farmer.
ALWAYS!
Tyler you're a great fabricator and welder! Have a good rest the week! I enjoy all your videos, let it be farming, fabricating etc.
Good morning and thank you very much for the nice video
Great video FT. I need a set of pallet forks for my tractor, I use chains, straps and what ever will work. Have a blessed week.
I'm just a simple "city slicker" with absolutely NO welding experience !! You, my friend, make it look so simple !! I feel sure you went to welding school, at some stage or it's simply experience and practice !! Thanks for sharing as you are fast becoming my favorite channel !! Have a good day !!
FTR, The master of C-clamps!
I agree Dan!!!
Great job Tyler. I appreciate your craftsmanship 👍🏻
Great work young man, you are testament to what real men are supposed to be like 👍
You're quite the welding expert in my opinion, Tyler !! Good job, my friend !!
Tyler you are an excellent fab guy!
When you reinforce, you really reinforce. Really good work.

Love the Wile E. Coyote ref. I was born 1950.

By far my favorite channel on UA-cam 😃 along with "The joy of painting with Bob Ross"♥️
Great content. I love the welding videos and watching you think things through. Truly inspiring!
Nice first weld.
Great video.
Hope calving is going well.
Have a great day.
Yet another great video!
And of course a thumbs up for the real star.... Callie!!
Thank you for sharing this video. Sure wish I had learned to weld when younger. But girls didn’t do that back in those days. Glad he told us what he was doing when he tweaked them. And then had faith in you to repair
What a remodel job…fantastic video.
Beautiful fluid like weld beads, great job!
The forks pockets welding looks good.
Great work done well Tyler😊
I'd sell the repaired forks and buy a set that are adjustable width. This is very important for doing lots of different tasks beyond just lifting standard-sized pallets. I'm actually surprised these are made this way.
U R a fixit magician Tyler, always learn watching FTR! 💪👍🙏
Glad to see ya using your skills.
Thanks for sharing farmer tyler ranch I enjoyed the video and the pallet forks look great
Nice job FT, and yes we were wondering about the tractor
Always enjoy your fabrication videos.
You are amazing for all you know how to do. Nice job on your repair
Your welds are really nice. Welding is a skill I hope they still teach in high school.
Great work Tyler. Ur work is just Amazing. Always good watching u do Incredible work. Ur Confidence and Aptitude is Tip Notch. Thank u so much for sharing!

Looks Sweet , nice job 👍
Beautiful welds!

Thanks Boss, I've learned so much. You have inspired me to do that project.
Nice job getting the pallet forks back to life, but you didn't show us any baby ciw critters. Maybe next time. 😊
I really appreciate your videos. I, like you, would rather repair/improve something rather than throw away and buy new. I always say I have more time than money and the end result is usually better than what I can buy anyway. Keep up the good work.
Nice Job!! New Name....The Farmer Tyler Resto Remod Shop!! Good video!!
We have a double garage out back. There's no room to get the cars in. It looks just like your workshop, every tool in the box. 😀😀😀🚜🚜🌷👍👍🌷🚜🚜
Rock On Tyler! Just discovered your channel this last week. I have gone to the beginning and finally am caught up. Love the idea of running your own bulls. I think it will pay off. Really like the farm improvements also.
That turned out perfect! From my well trained eyeball, dead on. Nice work bud!
Your work on metals are great
The anvil!! Those are so hard to find now and if you find one they’re priced so high. Was that one grandpa’s? It’s an awesome one for sure!
You certainly are a real Handy Man. !
Good job. I inherited a ford 4630 tractor with a bush hog brand loader. Someday I want to weld skid steer quick attachment. We felt led to remove our tvs several years ago. Love your videos keep ‘em coming
Looks great! How about a shop cleaning & organization video??
What looks cluttered to some people it may as well be organized to the person using it
Your such a handyman i'am amazed what you can do❤
Thanks 😊
Nice work. We all knew you could make something out of that. God bless.
How's the new bull getting along with the young bull?
It makes me wonder what Jeremy was doing with this part!
Looks pretty darn spot on to me. I'd just say "thank You Jesus" and get to doin whatever it is you want with em!
Awesome job FTR 🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
Said it before. Wish I had your metal work skills. Nice job. Thanks.
Good job as usually.
Show off scraping your slag off like that haha, beautiful welds!
Awesome video Tyler i love you using your head to think things thru you always do an awesome job
‘Tis a thing o’ beauty, FT.
Your skills always impress me. KUDOS
Great job
Finding somthing a little tore up for a good deal, and fix er up better than new! The Rancher way.
The only thing cheaper than free is if you don’t pay anything at all--Yogi Berra
Tyler haven’t seen you put out a bad video yet👍👍
Hi Tyler Awesome Job as always., Can’t tell you nothing 3-28-2023❤
How's the bulls get along?
Its possible the forks are a much harder steel than the mounting plate
Damage could or was done used by over loading 1 fork
Exactly correct.
Nice job as always 👍. Ever try Esab? This rod works great easy starts plus it is not as smokey. That's all I used to use was Lincoln welding rod. Plus some other brands.
Any updates on the snow geese problem?
Any chance of adding a hay spear to this attachment?
Very Nice job :) professional
Forks are lot heaviear and heat treated
Looks like you did another great job bringing life back into a piece of equipment. I’m wondering how you will use this. Perhaps we will see in an upcoming video.
Nice repair to make the forks usable again. It is incredible what the price of new & used implements are today. Quality of a lot of the new is nowhere near what it was & does not hold up to normal use.
That was kind of you
Tyler great job there boy but now I need some extra learning experience I'm waiting for my tig welding lessons I wanna learn how to tig and and do some aluminum but I'll watch some other channels I just thought I'd give you a hard time
It it is so nice to be able to fix things yourself!❤❤
