Important to be aware of that LIDAR sensor when configuring glass removal laser templates, and removing rear glass.
Why’s that ? Does the laser removal damage it
@@wazx696 A very high chance of that, yes. The laser makes several passes to burn the glue underneath the glass. If there is no glue in that spot, just a super thin foil, that foiø will offer no protection. The laser will burn through it as easily as you walk through a spiderweb. You'll burn through that foil immediately and start burning the lidar sensor.
But isn’t the template adjusted so that it doesn’t go over that part of the device

@@wazx696 The templates tend to be all over the place, and need lots of adjustment. If you're considering getting one of those laser machines, an important tip: Before you start adjusting any of the templates, make sure to adjust the frame jig you put the phone agsinst to align it. If that is off, all the templates will be off. So focus the laser for depth, make it show the red light outline of a phone (and have that model in the jig), then adjust the jig so its straight with the template. It will save you potentially 10s if not hundreds of hours of headaches.

Good visual tutorial and specific instructions where to be careful with certain components and you have good store to buy supplies and tools. The early 3g iPhone had I believe 13 removable parts, and easy to disassemble! Not now! 😫
