HOW TO REMOVE THE INTERIOR CARPET FLOOR IN ANY CAR

How to remove the interior carpet floor in any car. I had an issue with mould and the cheap car wash I took the car too ruining the insulation under the carpet so I needed to remove the interior carpet floor and insulation on the ford fiesta MK7 the process for doing this will be similar on most cars
Before I begin trying to remove the seats on a car to get the floor out I disconnect the battery and allow the capacitors for the airbags to discharge skipping this step can cause the airbags to go off potentially.

I hear you on that just make sure to let the car sit for 30 mins after disconnecting the battery otherwise the airbags might surprise you 😊

Thanks for that, but is there a part 2 or something? I wanted to know what is the material underneath the carpet? My daughter spilled milk on the carpet, and the valet couldn’t get rid of the smell. Does the ‘carpet underlay’ absorb liquids, or is it water-proof and the liquid stays there? Thanks.

Yes it's basically a sponge I had mould on mine because liquid got into the car and I had to replace that foam and get the carpet cleaned and dried while out of the car

Awesome. I cut a hole with my heal and started to get clogged lungs from debris that would get soaked underneath the carpet was soooo much mud. (I go to the park with my dog alot)
I started cutting out the carpet when i realized i should remove tbe entire carpet 😂

Bless you that sounds awful that foam is not great splits into a thousand pieces if cut it I'm glad you realised before you covered the whole car in debris by cutting the carpet out
