I grew up with them and never saw them, I was waiting for the pandemic to be over so I can finally see them. It will never happen and I am genuinely heartbroken since I found out.
I'm so glad my older son and I got to see them live at Mayhem Fest back in 2013. We are both crushed, may he RIP somewhere that's metal as fuck and has alcohol. 🖤🤘

I never felt sadder when someone from the world of music died. Like a part of me died. When I was very young COB changed the world of music for me and they influenced it the most of all. Every album is perfect and special, he put his soul into every song and note he played. But unfortunately the disease is stronger and he doesn't ask for years .... Those 10 albums will remain a great history and will be listened to forever. Thank you for everything Alexi, I'll see you one day on the other side.
I kinda feel bad, cause when Needeled 24/7 came out, I really liked the video, but thought that some of their songs are not of my liking. It was first at some german festival in 2014 I realized, that they sound really cool live. I always liked Alexis attitude and stuff, but never really gave them enough credit....and when he died, I felt so much sadness and that I maybe did not appriciated them enough when they were around. It still breaks my heart.

He made Heavy Metal accesible for so many people, before him metal coudn't reach so many, but back in the late 90's early 20's his sound grabbed so many young and brought them to metal. He we'll be deeply missed.

First time a felt like this was many years ago when i realized Cliff Burton died before i born, and i admiring then i feel too sad about that. Few years later a feel same when Dimebag was murdered Now i feel this fking feeling again it's horrible how our heroes die too young!!!
