- This video started off as a "how to change" video for the 2010 Honda CRF250R fuel pump filter, but quickly changed into a 2010 vs 2011 fuel pump filter video. After discovering that our bikes had the fuel pump and filter upgraded we had to look at the differences and their fitments.
Your videos are always so helpful! You and your friend Garrett are true OFFROAD ENTHUSIASTS!
I love that you show the things that go wrong aswell as the right this helps alot more than videos that are all perfect. Thanks.
Thank you sir and God bless!
Hey man. Hope you might be able to help. So my crf450r has been sitting for 5/6 years. Last time i drove it, it started without issues and everything was fine. Not started it not so i removed the tank and am about to remove the fuel pump to clean it out. Was wondering if its fine to leave the pump sitting outside the tank while i work on the rest and also how i can empty the old gas from the pump. Never done anything more then the normal oil/filter change/cleaning so this is all new to me 😅😆
Fuck yeah! Thanks guys!!!
Did you ever fix this bogging problem? Was it just the filter or the entire pump?
The bogging problem got fixed but I don’t think it was either of those. I never replaced the pump and I don’t think I ever installed the new filter. Might have been a spark plug or air filter issue.
What plastic kit is that
Can I do it on the 125?
Hi, does the housing change at all? The pump is just a ‘like for like’ replacement only the filter shape changes?
Since I didn’t have both types side by side to compare I’m not entirely sure, but given that the filter didn’t fit it I would assume there there are slight differences to the housing. Either that or the pump it self is different which changes the amount of room in the housing.
Hey I just picked up a Crf250r 2014 it’s been sitting since 2018. Starts easy and runs good but doesn’t idle 😅 do you know what I should go through or change
Always good to run through the basics (Spark, Air, Fuel). I’d assume the spark plug wouldn’t be the main problem if it’s starting fine but it wouldn’t hurt to check the spark plug and see if it’s old. Make sure your air filter is clean and not full of dirt choking the airflow. If it’s still got the old gas in it from 2018 definitely dump that out, clean the tank, and get fresh gas in there. If old fuel was sitting in there the past 5 years might wanna look into the fuel pump and filter too.
If I had a problem on my travels, would it be possible to run the bike without a filter until I could buy one
It probably wouldn’t be smart to do so, but I’m sure you technically could
2009 crf is also fuel injection
In 2009 I think the 450 got fuel injection, but the 250 wasn’t till 2010
Run into this same thing
Poi prendete per i fusilli fatela finita so dove volete parare nutella
