- December 1994, I call in and ask Bret Hart why he never defended the title against Shawn Michaels. Bret puts Shawn over huge. Weird to listen to this knowing what would happen a couple years later.
Bret is a classy guy.

And it would have continued being stuck forever at Mid-Card in this unfair Business; run much on Family Nepotism! Fukk Nepotism!
Shawn had to organize himself some strengths in numbers for the step out of mid-card and on to Main Event!
This bitter old twat of course didn't like getting toppled off His Artificial No 1 Spot! He wasn't better, he didn't sell tickets, he simply didn't bring it. How the hell is someone 'entitled' being No 1 untouchable forever?! Neither Hogan nor Hart! Shawn paid his dues the honest way and is not gossiping like a dumb old lady about other ppl flaws. He admits his life and that's it. Other ppl are way worse in comparison.

You know oftentimes when ppl talk about who are some of the sexiest wrestlers ever, you hear Shawn Michaels back in the day Randy Orton now. I think Bret Hart is really underrated in the looks department. He looked good as hell. I always thought he was sexy back in the day. He looks extremely fine with this little stubble.

He faced Shawn Michaels at the 1992 Survivor Series for the World title prior to this interview.
I think he meant on a program, Shawn and Bret at Survivor Series 1992 for the belt was a one off. After that, Bret was challenged by Razor Ramon.

Bret was my favorite as a child! His move set... so believable to me. I'm 44 now. So I remember the late late 80's and the Monday Night Wars
He definitely should have kept the beard in the late 90s would've kept him fresh. He pretty much did the same look for years besides updating his attire the odd time. The beard would have gave him more of an edge as a babyface and facial hair is always a good heel look.
It was a perfect look. I would argue masked Kane was the only one whoever looked as good as he did. Maybe like early 90's Shawn was up there for a bit before he started losing his hair.

Axle Starr I counted it back and I I believe I would have been 13. Honestly, I was probably doing a voice and thinking “Bret will hear how awesome my delivery is and how grown up I sound and will ask me to be his manager” I was a stupid kid. If you look at my other videos I eventually got a job as a reporter and and on....like 5 week of learning on the job...I got to go backstage and bomb with a bunch of Smackdown Superstars. Haha good memories.

What does the amount it sold matter? Question was has he put the title on the line against HBK? He did in Survivors Series 92. Infact think Cornette confirmed that they've faced off more than a hundred times in house shows besides live events of The Rockers vs Hart Foundation serval tag team matches, Bret vs Shawn IC Ladder match, Survivors Series 92, Wrestlemania 12, and Survivors Series 97. Bret n Shawn both evenly have 2 wins vs each other.
Seperate note about sales. Wrestlemania 7 Hogan vs Slaughter was even lower that they had to move it to a smaller venue and even give tickets away at the stadium. From 1991 to 1998 EVERYONE struggled to draw as champion. Shawn, Diesel, Undertaker, Yoko, Hogan, Warrior, and Bret.. early 90s was a very tough time for the business until NWO kicked off the Monday Night Wars. not any wrestlers fault, just the nature of humans and losing interest in things. If you match up the numbers, Brets sales were awful but they were still better than all the champs of the 90s except for Austin. Steve Austin was the new 80s Hulkamania.

So many beard comments. But hardly any on what a keen eye Bret had/has for what it takes to be a big star in professional wrestling. Remember he also took a very young, very green Rocky Maivia under his wing & proclaimed he was the future of the WWF. Dude was not only an absolute perfectionist in the ring, but clearly just has a great mind/ eye for the business. Shame what the Montreal, Owen, WCW misuse, & Goldberg incidents did to his love for the business. He would've been great as an agent or part of the booking committee in the mid 2000s to present.
He looks tired as, and this was during a break for him.

Didn't care too much for the ignorance of that question. I won't even give it the excuse of two years is a lifetime in wrestling terms, that was a stupid antagonistic question by an ignorant mark. Michaels was one of the first guys that challenged Bret right at the start of his WWF title reign. Not only that but he was also a constant threat to Bret's Intercontinental Championship during the Spring and Summer of 1992.

I have to agree as someone who personally had my long history with that substance.
Shawn Michaels was never THAT drunk on TV, however him not gossiping around pointing fingers, only talking his own flaws! But the degenerated unobjective Low-Qs can only scream like a parrot in 1 direction!
Shawn Michael's was more of a manager role to Diesel after Wrestlemania 10 and throughout the summer 1994 before becoming tag team champions with him in late August, so I don't think Shawn even wanted a title shot for Bret's WWF Championship in 1994.

Hitman vs HBk they couldve surpassed any rivalry if they didnt hold back on each other.... they were my all time favorites to watch as kid i remeber the rockers vs hart foundation was like a superbowl to me. And there single match ups wow classic except for the screw job.
