Thanks, it's an Ab minor mélodic for G7, I remember now, i did that scale intentionnaly for a friend who was facinated by that scale, I hate this scale, I prefert control by myself the tentions -5, +5, -9, +9 for G7, in facts it's a mix from the whole tone scale and diminish scale, that's I prefert.
Hi Luis Miguel, the bass and the drums are done by the software Band-in-a-Box from PG music, you write chords and you choose the style on that software,
Jacques, do you have a full list of the 1300 odd songs you've done to date you could send me? I was just thinking of taking select ones from your list and putting on several CDs to jam along to that all. They're great in terms of melodic compass and really learning to play these standards.
OK, I understand haha. I wondered if you kept a list of titles of what you've done that's all! Tell me can you quickly scan www.jazzstandards.com/compositions/index.htm and let me know if you think you have most of the top 100 ones listed there. I might see if I can do a few CDs of your tracks and playing if you don't mind!
It's incredible what you've achieved with this. What a resource you've created! I didn't realize how many you'd done until you said as only a select few turn up in the suggestions. I'll learn to play much better this way when I can look at the stock and be able to listen to your recordings.I'm reaching a level in improvization now where I can look at most chords and know how the notes are working melodically and quickly come up with lines that work but I need a lot of practice to connect the dots in places and get used to it, this is perfect for that! Jazz is like learning a language I think, and the more standards you learn the better you become acquainted with chord changes and lines which you know are going to work well and build upon it. Merci beaucoup Jacques!
Yeah two requests. The Way You Look Tonight and I Get Along Without You Very Well. I've been working out a chord melody for the latter this morning, which of course was on Sinatra's classic Wee Small Hours 1955 album.
