    Great video. I'm wanting to retire to Siem Reap, by the end of 2024, and will come there for a visit, as soon as I sell my home, in Florida. Your Aunt reenforces the opinions that I have had, watching all of the information and reading upon Siem Reap. I truly can't wait to get there to check it out in person, and start the moving process!

      Let us know if you'd like some help with that we have consulting services for prospective expats. We provide you with all the reliable contacts you'd need to land on your feet from visa services to under market real estate. Can you reach us on the Facebook fan page of that's of value. As for SR, it's a nice place. Good lifestyle. Safe, etc, but it's definitely worthwhile to have health insurance that can get you to Thailand if needed. Healthcare in Cambodia still has a way to go. Otherwise, it's a great destination. 🙏🏻

    Oh! I’m Khmericain living in California I’m also planning to return back home in Cambodia . Planning an earlier retirement . Understood you can get such a huge amount for a green lifestyle plenty of qualities lifes with a lesser amount of money to spend, California become highly expensive in everything! Thank you friends for promoting about Cambodia it’s a gems island that’s been hidden awhile from the world. 😅❤💜🙏

      Cambodia is awesome. Some good food around so eating healthy is possible. That being said, food is more expensive than all the neighboring countries, so is power. Housing is cheaper and is a pretty good value. Power is ridiculous. Pollution during dry season is normally not terrible, but this year, there was no rain, so it was the worst I have even seen in Cambodia. Pros and cons. There are many opportunities for business and lifestyle, but you give up some things also. I think if you come with an open mind, it can be a very good place, but green isn't really the mindset. It's typical Southeast Asia urbanization at the expense of nature and humans. As long as you can come in with realistic expectations, you will be fine. The people are warm and generally solid. Safety is better than the states but worse than neighboring countries. It's a nice place, but like anywhere, it's what you make of it. Hope that helps. Best of luck. Cambodia has come a long way even since my first visit around 11 years ago, and I think things will continue to improve. 🙏🏻

    I love this concept by sharing authentic experience and genuine feedback about a place.

      @rebornabroad  Рік тому

      Genuine feedback is important because living in a developing country isn't the right choice for everyone. Despite the fact that it's my business, my main priority is to present a realistic picture so people can make the right choices for themselves

      Yes, it's becoming easier to move around for sure. Now, the next big step will be to improve healthcare. It has improved, but I think it still has a way to go. Get that and it will be a retirement paradise.

    Cambodia has been always a country of hospitality and country of attractions with its riches histories since the Ancient Khmer Empire that expended to half part of South East Asia . Later Khmer Empire were raid and sack by few neighbors countries until the downfall of Khmer Empire. Then following the modern day Cambodia has affecting by politically from China Comm, Pol Pot ,Vietnam comm, Henry Kissinger that cause the destruction of 3 Millions Khmers people and half destruction of Cambodia country occur (1975-1979) Genocide . Khmer Empire is slowly re-emerging and the economies are booming some of my family from N. America are moving back to Cambodia and they love it . Cambodia has the lesser crime of all South East Asia . You can get a high qualities of life if your income it’s steady and at low cost of green living lifestyle beautiful landscape Cambodia it’s a tropical country and has 4 seasons . 🙏🇰🇭💜🌎

      Medical care has a very long way to go, but doing things like massage and eating clean can definitely help. Also, you can get health insurance that will fly you to Thailand, where healthcare is very good. If you are very wealthy, Singapore. There are some major issues but also some major positives. I think it's a place that if you put the time in will really take care of you, but it's important to come in with eyes open. Siem Reap, in my opinion, offers the best lifestyle. Love Cambodia hope to see it continue to grow and develop.

      Understood , bear with Cambodia that we come from a long way. But considering the level
      Of Cambodia country has been destroyed nearly the whole country and 90% Khmer elite, professional skills, intellectual , wealthy background , politician are among the death tolls. These people that lost their lives are the main important resourceful socio-economies to Cambodia country. Singapore it’s a wealthy country mostly are Chineses background , and China has also invest to reshape Cambodia as the same in Thailand . China grasp nearly 70% of Thailand economies .

    Playing "Devil's Advocate" as a retiree you must consider that this is one of the hottest parts of all of SEA and if you have any chronic health issues, particularly if you need specialty care, you are not going to have easy access to the health care that you will require. When you have that trauma accident, that heart attack, that stroke, that pulmonary embolism etc., etc. you're not going to be able to jump on a plane to Bangkok for comprehensive care. Just say'in. 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂🤷‍♀🤷‍♀

    • @rebornabroad
      @rebornabroad  3 місяці тому

      Yes, but I also know some clients who because living costs are so low eat healthy orangic food. Get several massages a week and have a healthier lifestyle than they might have elsewhere. I do agree with you though Bangkok and even Vietnam has better health care. To me its one of the key things Cambodia needs to improve.

      Lots of people retire here and get the health insurance that will get them to Thailand. Still be cheaper than healthcare in places like the USA.
