    Couldn't agree more with you about Chiang Mai, Jay! It's been my Second Home for over twenty years now; I've been in love with this place since I first went there in 1988! 🙂

      100% even with pollution and the city growing I will always love the place.

      I am really glad. Sad we didn't get to meet, but I am sure our paths will cross. Thinking india for us next.

    I have a piece of land out in the boonies in Da Nang. Gonna retire there in 20 years

    Pattaya area, Hua Hin in Thailand, Vung Tu in Vietnam, Kampot and Battambang in Cambodia. Vientiane in Laos. All good choices too! Then many places in the Philippines!

    Excellent video, thanks Jay! If you're ready for retirement, seriously consider moving to Southeast Asia. I'm glad I did. In Da Nang, I recommend Vinmec Hospital. They took excellent care of me when I needed it.

      You're a legend as always. We are just playing around and experimenting with content. We plan to add more details and maybe make more like this. Hope all is well! We are in Phnom Penh till April, and then I think we will be checking out southern India

    Thanks for te video. Last I heard, it was not possible to get a cheap retirement visa in Viet Nam. Has that changed?

    • @rebornabroad
      @rebornabroad  10 місяців тому +1

      There is no such thing as a retirement visa in Vietnam. What we would do is set you up as an investor. There is no age limit, and there is no work permit retirement. So, it'd function as a retirement visa. Let me know if that would be helpful. As for cheap, it's relative to what you have. It's not Cambodia, but it's not so different from Thailand. Depends what your looking for and what you can afford

      Thanks. That was my understanding. I think I'll stay in Cambodia. Much easier.

      It's a cool photo, and the concept is fascinating places. A kid holding a giant tarantula is pretty fascinating.
