- Sometimes several short treasure hunts are just as productive as a long one that eats up an entire day. Dirt Life Detecting is on the lookout for the old stuff (silver, old coins, relics) again at the elementary schools - this time four schools in four different hunts. Were we successful? Come along and let's find out!

Thanks for watching! I do love dime tri fectas!
Did you check the 1909 wheat penny to see if it is a VDB
Thanks for watching Rusty! I sure did check, unfortunately just a regular old 1909. But hey, their still fun to pull out of the ground.
You really need to get a small brush
Thanks for watching Brian!
There's got to be a scientific reason as to why some items sink deep and others stay shallow, sometimes in the same ground. Coins and rings shouldn't make a big difference, they're so light.
I used to spend a lot of time on friendly metal detecting forum. They had a years-long thread dedicated to this topic. Long story short, just so many different factors. In terms of the V nickel I found at 2 inches in this video. I ultimately think that ground had been reworked. Thanks for watching John!
