Great hunt guys! That kid may never put down that detector... EVER! That was a cool thing letting him "find" that Silver! Imagine what he'll be swingin later in life!! (It'll actually show live, in ground video of the find and a nano-bot will dig the hole!) I bet Notka/Makro or Minelab is already working on that!
David, it was so kind of you to let the boy dig out that silver coin you made a memory happen for that kid I’m sure he’ll never forget! Also, love the videos especially when you go diving too 👍👍
Love your videos. Keep a low profile and remember to keep in mind that it is not legal to search for treasure in the National Parks and state parks. People get all pissed off any time they think you are making money and envy your treasure. Get in and get out quickly and don't attract too much attention. Stow away your goods out of view when you are camping. I wish i was young enough to be a Treasure Hunter and truly delighted with your videos. Good Job, gentlemen. Keep it coming.!
+Stanley Stalvey - Things have changed in my 43 years of detecting; many Federal/State lands are off limits and most of the spots we find, like this one, are privately owned.
great hunt guys with some nice finds but i have to say that was one class act your buddy did by helping the young hunter find his first silver. he will remember that day for the rest of his life. we need more people like you in the hobby.
These parks are out there. I remember my dad taking me to a fishing hole with a ball park next to it, now a farm field. From this field recovered 3 walkers, 10 mercs, 1 washington , 1 buffalo and 5 wheats.
This video was a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing it. And this is a first for me, watching a man treasure hunting with a cigar in his mouth lol. Really kind helping the younger ones. It's going to fuel their passion to keep hunting and finding treasures that are still lost and waiting.
+Tia Keas Absolutely! That boy will never forget his first day out detecting!! The next time we went to this spot, David found ANOTHER vintage gold wedding band not even 10 feet from where the boy recovered his first silver coin..... talk about "what goes around comes around".......
When you dig a large plug, you should test it even after you have gotten something out of the hole. You never know if the plug might have something in it.
WOW THAT's A WHOLE LOT OF SILVER !!! Congrats on the great finds and cudo to you for helping that kid with that first silver fine. Dig your channel and cant wait to see more.
that is just insane!!! its hard to believe that there is a park in the US that hasn't been pounded to death but you guys found it... WOW !!! super congrats...
We thought the same thing but this once was a park years ago and seeing it now, you would never know. We're hoping to find another one like it but we're not holding our breath.....
+penguin chick We are still in shock finding a land spot like this one. We hit the field pretty well but we're hoping for a good "Day 3" this coming weekend. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas to you!
awesome silver finds guys!!! I recently found an 1887 Morgan silver dollar and boy was that a rush so I know EXACTLY how exciting it is to dig silver! I'm still waiting for that gold ring though! I did find a gold locket with an old picture of a girl inside. it's pretty cool! I have also found a silver ring! keep up the awesome finds and videos!
Sweet finds. At first I thought you were in Canada when I saw the Canadian quarter. Nice to see the young lad get a Merc his first time out. My first time out was last April and I managed a gold wedding band on my second target - have been hooked ever since and had some cool finds including an axe head that could potentially be a 17th century trade axe that I came across last week. Happy swinging!
This series of vids should carry some kind of disclaimer ;o) Like "you'll need decades of experience and astronomical luck to get results like these" or maybe just the right attitude, eh? GL and HH are pretty much a given here lolololol
Thanks for taking the time to let us look over your shoulder. I'm really liking that ultra-convenient little plug shovel. Gonna have to look into that. Is it some model of Lesche Sampson, I wonder? I like that its shovel head is offset a bit rearwards of the handle. Seems like you'd get better purchase for leverage that way. Nearly all of my detecting thus far been on sandy beaches, and a good long sturdy sand scoop's just the ticket for giving one's back and knees a break. It seems to me your fine little shovel's its analogue for the dirt.
I have a question when I detect at my local park the silver coins I get are all rusted is it because the soil IAS moist and which seasons is the soil dry
I have been detecting for years at different locations in different states, and a. have never found a Merc and b. have never found a silver coin. I'm a bit skeptical as to how all of these coins can be at one place.
I’ve been at it 6 years. Last week I discovered an old picnic grove that was untouched, virgin sight. I found it by reading old newspaper from 1930s. Full of Indian head cents, wheats, silver coins. The places are there. Just take some research.
+Jack McCown - Never a problem as long as you cut the plug deep enough so when you replace it, the grass does not die. We have dug hundreds of signals at this location and there is no trace of digging...
There is a horseshoe bar graph which is pretty useless. I go by the sound when going over the target is pin point mode. When searching in discriminate, you can set the AUDIO REACTIVITY so you can hear a difference between deeper targets and shallow targets. Play with that setting while running a quarter under the coil at about 8" and you will see how the setting effects the response. I keep mine at 4 and I can always hear when I have a coin 6+ inches deep.
+Jim Grisham Me and Don are using the "Land or Sea" probe by Gold Digger. Dave has his Sun Ray probe attached to his Explorer and also uses a Land or Sea probe. Thanks for watching
I have different setting for different places. Basic 1 is a good starting point and then you can tweak it from there. I run the sensitivity a 95 and most places can handle it well. Deus will run quieter with GB at 90 but you will get more depth if the GB is set close to where the ground conditions are tracking. For example if the Deus is tracking at 82, I run it at 83. If I kept it at 90, I would not hear the deep targets. Reactivity at 2 is more than you need. Any more reactivity and you will loose noticeable depth. I have spent hours going through settings after getting a deep signal out in the field, this is the best way to learn your machine but it takes time.
I love video's like this im a beginner and i have found so far a 10k ring and a few siver coins and plenty of loose change my best areas to go is school playgrounds and parks you can find plenty of both there
Fantastic hunt lads well done. Have you ever thought of keeping the Deus fast platform but trying it at 4khz? I think you'll find you'll dig the silvers a lot deeper. :-D
+Jethro Carpenter We have taken deep silver signals and tweaked the settings trying to get the best possible readings. In these conditions, we're hearing deep silver very well at 12kHz and 18kHz which surprised me!
How in the world did that park manage to stay unhunted for all those years? Parks are always hunted to death with all the silver long gone. Please comment.
Just goes to show that research pays off. You guys killed it in that park! 21 silvers in one day is epic. 3 Walkers in 3 hours is insane. I had the good fortune of hunting one such site. Can't wait to find another. I just need to do my homework like you guys did.
+Dillon Isham These walkers are not worth much more than scrap silver value but that's not the point. Its all about the thrill of the hunt; its hard to find silver half dollars on land and seeing these come out of the ground is a real thrill to those of us that have been land hunting for years.
+DetectorComparisons It seems they call 'walking liberties' "Walkers" ... maybe/maybe not ... I'm from Texas and I feel lucky finding anything more than a rosie.
Nice finds guys. But pretty much the worst plug digging I've seen on here. Come back in a month and you will see a mine field of dead grass plugs. You have to hinge those plugs to keep the grass alive no matter how deep you dig them. We will lose our detecting privileges if we keep this up. I've been fortunate to be in this hobby for 30+ years and hope to continue. Do us a favor and make a video of good coin recovery and turf replacement. Too many guys are learning bad habits on here. Thanks.
Actually you are 100% wrong. We dig a plug below the root line and the grass does not die. We have been back several times and you can't even tell we have dug holes. 44 years detecting this month and no complaints from property owners.....
DetectorComparisons I used to work at a Stadium on the field. The way you plugged the grass it will live fine. Keep doing it this way. Pending they continue grounds keeping and watering. Enjoyed the video. Grats on the finds. Ty for helping the boy. If ppl keep good habits on parks grounds and then we should be allowed to continue detecting on city property. Great video
Excellent finds and video! Hats off to you guys for helping the kiddo, that speaks volumes and he'll never forget!
An act of kindness says so much about a person! Way to go and thanks for sharing

A beautiful find and a great job. I am inspired by your efforts and the magic of your finds. Thanks for posting.
This makes me wish my buddies were in to the hobby. Fantastic hunt my man! Love your videos.

What an amazing location! Fun to watch you guys rib each other over finds.
Heck of a place you guys have found. So cool helping the kid as well, that little guy will be hooked for life after that dig!
Ten minutes listening to this jack ass talking makes me want to smack him in the back of the head
That's an epic day of detecting, congrats!
wow great finds!! keep that park a secret as long as you can. happy holidays and GL&HH
Awesome vid. The best part-giving that father and son a memory for life.
Real nice of David to give the boy the big thrill of finding two coins..
+Tia Keas Absolutely! That boy will never forget his first day out detecting!! The next time we went to this spot, David found ANOTHER vintage gold wedding band not even 10 feet from where the boy recovered his first silver coin..... talk about "what goes around comes around".......

Wow nice! I can't imagine that there are still undetected parks out there..
When you dig a large plug, you should test it even after you have gotten something out of the hole. You never know if the plug might have something in it.
Incredible Hunt Carter. You should call that place Silver Hoard Park. .Awesome.😆
looks like you guys had a blast! reminds me of a old 1940's boy scout camp i hunted. congrats on all the finds.
WOW THAT's A WHOLE LOT OF SILVER !!!
Congrats on the great finds and cudo to you for helping that kid with that first silver fine.
Dig your channel and cant wait to see more.
Well damn done! God I miss these
That's killing it in SPADES!! GREAT hunt and so very glad to see the camaraderie!
Sweet finds, guys! Way more treasure and much more entertaining than "Curse of Oak Island"!
Wow! I've never had a day like that metal detecting. Congratulations!
The kind of park you dream about. You just never know what or how many you'll find. Great video.
Well done, guys - I shared your enjoyment! What a great pastime we have! Bob.
Wow amazing find guys!!!!!
Man the dirt is perfect! Those coins are in great shape!
I enjoyed watching the video. Looks like you guys had allot of fun. It was also nice to see, how you guys made that young lads day ! ;o)
Damn. Awesome day you had, there!
that is just insane!!! its hard to believe that there is a park in the US that hasn't been pounded to death but you guys found it... WOW !!! super congrats...

This is a real great hunt! Keep up the good work
the best 10 hours of hunting i have seen! thank you! :)
Merry Christmas!
+penguin chick We are still in shock finding a land spot like this one. We hit the field pretty well but we're hoping for a good "Day 3" this coming weekend. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas to you!
Wow, that park is loaded. Congrats on a banner day of digging.
awesome silver finds guys!!! I recently found an 1887 Morgan silver dollar and boy was that a rush so I know EXACTLY how exciting it is to dig silver! I'm still waiting for that gold ring though! I did find a gold locket with an old picture of a girl inside. it's pretty cool! I have also found a silver ring! keep up the awesome finds and videos!
wow! my finds come slower, but at a very picked location. inspirational!
That's awesome! I really want to get into metal detecting.
Sweet finds. At first I thought you were in Canada when I saw the Canadian quarter.

Outstanding hunt!
Nice finds
Please don't make a big about it! Please don't make a big deal about it! Haha. Great relationships great hunt hh gl
Nice hunt and nice gold ring lol
HH to you

You have been detecting 4 years and never found a silver coin? Not sure what to say....
I’ve been at it 6 years. Last week I discovered an old picnic grove that was untouched, virgin sight. I found it by reading old newspaper from 1930s. Full of Indian head cents, wheats, silver coins. The places are there. Just take some research.
Your videos are really entertaining! New sub!
What a great video....
that was a great hunt well done lads
Great finds. didn't think there were anymore parks like that around. Any problems with the parks department on you digging full round plug holes?.
+Jack McCown - Never a problem as long as you cut the plug deep enough so when you replace it, the grass does not die. We have dug hundreds of signals at this location and there is no trace of digging...
I find it amazing there are still places like this and they haven't all been hunted.
+Kwkeaton You and me both! We have not seen a place like this in many years of searching. Not so much the quality, but the quantity blew us away.
Shock and Awe!!!!!
what detector are you guys using?
Thanks
Mark
+mark shugart A Minelab Explorer with an NEL coil and the Deus.
Hi do you guys know any metal detectors for beginners
How did you tell depth with your xp deus? I didnt think you could
There is a horseshoe bar graph which is pretty useless. I go by the sound when going over the target is pin point mode. Matt Korte ,m
awesome hunt you guys, really hit it "in" the park!!! nice. what kind of pinpointer's do you use ?
+Jim Grisham Me and Don are using the "Land or Sea" probe by Gold Digger. Dave has his Sun Ray probe attached to his Explorer and also uses a Land or Sea probe. Thanks for watching
I always like finding silver the more i find! The happier i am lol GL/HH
You guys did very well at that spot, ' Now, don't tell anybody where it is...
What machines you guys use now?
Using the Deus and Equinox on land.
I would still be at the park, I detect well into the night. We have nothing but newer parks around me. That means clad is the coin of the day.
What are the settings on your Deus you use most?
I have different setting for different places. Basic 1 is a good starting point and then you can tweak it from there. I run the sensitivity a 95 and most places can handle it well. love the videos you dig a very nice plug .oh can you let me know what spade are you using and where did you buy it looks like a very good shovel.
+Andres Medina Its a Sampson shovel. All the major dealers carry them.
Just wondering what your detector is?
We were using a Minelab E-Trac and XP Deus
I love video's like this im a beginner and i have found so far a 10k ring and a few siver coins and plenty of loose change my best areas to go is school playgrounds and parks you can find plenty of both there
WOW! You know there's got to be more silver.
What type of shovel are you using , I'm new to this and that shovel looks so easy to use
Its a Lesche shovel. Google them and you'll see lots of styles
Where was this park at?!
Upstate NY....
great channel subbed!
Fantastic hunt lads well done.
Have you ever thought of keeping the Deus fast platform but trying it at 4khz?

I like those walkers
May I ask what state you are in?
Hahahahaha don't make a big deal about it, lol that was funny
new subscriber, great video and channel.
What is your metal detecter?
A Deus and an Explorer
Uhhhh I think I left my coin collection in that park and my two rings
WOWWOWOW AMAZING HUNT
Now where EXACTLY was this park again ? Wow!!!!
What kinda metal detector is that
+Nathan Gookin We are using and Explorer and Deus.
Wow, where in the world are you guys finding searched parks....is there such a thing?
+Accuracy Marked This is the only one we have found in many years. Most places are hit hard but Don did some research and found this spot.
My oldest find is an 1800 liberty dollar. But never have I found this many silvers at once
That was one killer hunt! Congrats on all the silvers! Was that a Canadian quarter in the mix? lol Great video! ATB GL&HH
+DirtFishingCanada Good eye!!! The 1943 silver was a Canadian quarter.
Was that a park?
Am off to the gold country in Oregon = tomorrow!
you guys seem to just put your plugs back in place and never recheck the hole ?
+Henry Cadorette Always do. We fill in the holes and then go over them and around them to see if there is anything nearby.
How in the world did that park manage to stay unhunted for all those years? Parks are always hunted to death with all the silver long gone. Please comment.

Didn't matter what you found, listen to how much fun you were having, can I get some
Awesome
Bad habit to get into: not double-checking your holes.
FDR was president for more than two terms.
Nice!
I get excited if I find money on the ground, I save the money I find in a little bank, I have also found a total of fifty two dollars in paper money
Fdr was a president for 3 terms
you guys are not checking the hole twice
Pinpointer Amazon???
Be careful on Amazon. Stick to a quality Garrett that yes, you can get on Amazon.
I don't understand are these coins actually worth s lot like you get so happy over a "walker" whatever that is
+Dillon Isham These walkers are not worth much more than scrap silver value but that's not the point. Its all about the thrill of the hunt; its hard to find silver half dollars on land and seeing these come out of the ground is a real thrill to those of us that have been land hunting for years.

wow
why does everyone insist on rubbing the coins.......???
