    Bamboo GTR Review: • Evolve Bamboo GTR review!
    Evolve's Cabon GTR is my new favorite electric longboard. It's my new go to. It's super sleek. It's fast. Range is great. Controller is... ok. Wish this thing went backwards.
    What other boards should I take a look at?
    Big thanks to my brother Doron for the help on this one: / doronsheffer

    The Backfire G3 Plus:
    - is half the price ($1000 vs $2000)
    - is faster (29mph vs 26mph)
    - still has a carbon fiber deck
    - has comparable range
    - has a more natural remote design
    - has lights for visibility
    it's a much better alternative to the carbon GTR imo, plus the board doesn't turn off when you're riding, so that's nice too :)

    you should try EXWAY! Exway makes boards go break and backwards just like boosted if you turn the "Free Mode" on in its settings. And they are working on a all terrain board as far as I know, so I think it will be a great competitor to Evolve!

      @@ali94hn but for 1/4 of the price it's not to be sniffed at. I love my GTR (bamboo) but when the brakes engaged by themselves and sent me flying it had to be sent in for repairs. Now have the exway flex as my backup board if this ever has to go in for repairs. Both are decent boards... Evolve excels with the trucks. That's one thing that sucks about exway, if they used double kingpins that would make them more competitive imo.. looking into the surf adapter to make it more like double kingpins, it's hard switching between the 2 I just gravitate towards the double kingpins so yeah hopefully the surf adapter will make the flex carve better.

I wanna get a hadean but I’m really hoping evolve comes out with a new board stepping it up with battery capacity mainly. The Boa wheels you used on your Boosted will totally fit evolve boards if you use the Kegel pulleys, I had the 107mm evolve ABEC wheels for a few months, but they were so heavy and torque loss was a bit much, then I swapped to the 100mm Boas, and man, the ride is so much better, and they didn't get cracks and chips like the 107mm wheels.

    You should look at backfire long board they are basically the same think but they have many boards to choose from and they are very cool to ride you should try the galaxy g2 board for starters I highly recommend trying it out

    Sweet video! If you are looking for feedback, I don't think you really went over the range, top speed, etc of the board. I also found the explanation of controller a little confusing (or maybe boosted's controller is just super simple?). Your enthusiasm and great editing kept me pumped about the board but I'm having a hard time comparing it to my boosted board and understanding how much better this board is.

    This is a nice board. But why when there's a board called the Verreal RS with a 19.2AH Tesla battery that gets you over a 35mile range. More power, tourqe, range and wheel customizations for half the price Also on 120mm cloud wheels the Verreal RS can hit 35mph ! I'd take the Verreal RS with the Tesla battery or the Lycaon TRX over the Carbon GTR any day. Just my opinion 😎🤙

    • @langcheng5443
      @langcheng5443 3 роки тому

      Customer service, brick and mortar retail, longer warranty, and return policies is why people choose evolve rather than dealing with a mainly Chinese business that isn't bound by the same consumer regulations. Shipping from China sucks ass too
      Verreal's Hobbywing ESC is more or less capable of the same power deliver and current as the gtr esc, so the torque advantage is rather moot. I'd still pick the verreal any day bc of the more conventional thumbwheel remote

    Other Negatives:
    1.Can not remove battery so you are able to travel by plane
    2. No Flex on board (super unconfortable)
    3. The price is INSANE
    4. Big no noo! On no complete stop or reverse. You really need these when stopping on a stop light or waiting to cross from sidewalk to sidewalk.
    Dont care that Boosted is outa business, im sticking with my boosted board.

    • @ryannelson7967
      @ryannelson7967 3 роки тому +1

      You can remove the battery and switch it to a travel one to go on a plane. Deck stiffness is a preference go for the bamboo if you dont like it.

    • @ajplant96
      @ajplant96 3 роки тому

      1. Travel friendly battery available with better real world range than Boosted's larger batteries.
      2. Preference. They have a bamboo board available for that.
      3. You're paying for warranty and after sales support. If it's within your means you can literally take the board to a local service centre. Mine is 5 minutes from my work.
      4. I've used Evolve's boards for over 10,000km now and never had an issue with this. If you can't pre-emp when you need to brake to stop and are too lazy to use your foot to completely stop rather than roll at 3km/hr or push the board backwards then that's on you.

    Complaining about the GTR logo on the bottom is like complaining that a ford raptor has Raptor written on the tail gate or that you Santa Cruz says Santa Cruz on the bottom or your mac has an apple logo on the back.

    I love both my Evolve GTR’s... bought the Carbon first after I watched your review among other, since then I’ve also bought the Bamboo. My Carbon has the light Blue 97 mm wheels currently equipped, Bamboo has the 6” AT tires with dark blue hubs. I also have the 107’s and a second set of 97’s and two sets of 7” AT tires. Can’t wait to try the 107’s once I get back from deployment. Could you do a review of the Bustin V2 Sportster X+? That’s another board I own and I love it as well, you don’t see that one often reviewed on UA-cam compared to Evolve and other boards. Bustin is located out of NYC too.

  • @stealther1401
    @stealther1401 3 роки тому

    yup this is it! this is going to be the board that throws you off at 24mph and get you disabled. Evolve is just a brand that skips all corners possible on the inside and packages as a higher performance brand on the outside. Please if you're not going to swap away from an Evolve at least wear full face helmet while riding one, if not full pads.
