Glad someone finally said it "this much power in this sleek of a design". Choice of words are important.
Awesome info on this Sam, thanks. Love how you structured the video! It doesn't fit my riding style but can't deny that it's a beautiful looking board
yo you also here, even if this fits your riding style it doesn't fit any person's budget
Great review Sam! I totally agree, Evolve should offer two remote options. One with thumb control excelleration and break combined (similar to old Boosted's). I've ridden both and Evolves ride is unsurpassed but the remote is not natural to hold , and your thumb and finger fatigue as a consequence.
Looks awesome. I have the GTR I do t mind the remote however glad they have beefed it up.
Hello Sam, great video and review! Do you feel this board is close to as sleek as the carbon GTR or more thick close to the Bamboo? Cheers
The blue bushings are different hardness to the orange bushings found on the GTR.
You can swap the bushings if you prefer a harder/softer ride.
ran into you while you were making this. those night shots are amazing the 1dx is killer🙌
It's still surprising to me they don't adopt a similar controller to the boosted one. I just can't think of a better one..
I agree, it makes me think Boosted probably has a patent for their style controller. Evolve probably doesn't want to risk a lawsuit if boosted actually has a patent
nah. a lot of evolve riders like myself love 2 triggers/levers. riding motorcycles, dirtbikes, quads, mopeds, go carts, and sports cars. always a separate brake lever with a separate throttle lever/peddal.. i understand why boosted riders dont like it, but jus like Sam said in his gtr review, it always grows on the rider. the only crappy part was it was cheaper fragile plastic. no more tho 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I think it has to do with the off-road capabilities of the board. If you are going over numbs and stuff it will be significantly harder to hold a wheel down. With that type of controller there might be jerky acceleration if you are going over bumps.
@@Luca-id9op i respectfully disagree. have u used the remote yet? let alone off road? if ur finger slips on a scroll wheel, its veryyy responsive due to its tighter internal spring and its natural build. the push in throttle is more mushy and lose feeling rather then a tap and take off feel. but regardless, if u are trying to off road, and u keep havin remote issues because of ur finger moving on the throttle too much, then u shouldn’t be riding lol. (not u, jus saying in general)
The evolve remote is set up perfectly fine. More companies should be following in that style.
Great videos. Love your reviews
this is my dream board. i have the carbon gt rn. its lovely, it makes me happy but this is a whole new level
I have my Hadean on the way, can't wait! I would seriously recommend the trying the AT's. Forest Trails are probably my favourite part of boarding!
Now that you've had the hadean for afew months.... do you have any issues with the board at all ? like, anything at all, even a funny noise or a wobbling part.
@@LORFCASTER battery dies all of a sudden. around 30%.
Also I should have waited until now.
They have lowered the prices down SIGNIFICANTLY.
I bought my hadean(2022) BAMBOO 2n1 for 2,399.
Now the price is 1,849. (2024)
Also Now , I could buy the hadean CARBON 2n1 for 2,149.
And it's still cheaper.
So it looks amazing! my only question is where are the motor guards? Does it need a motor guard? Seems like an easy add for the price. Personally I still hate the double trigger too, the scroll wheel style allows for much easier control I wish Evolve would make a scroll wheel remote.
My Ecomobl ET does 768 wh with 12 Cells and 50 amps and 36 mph and 25-28 miles battery.Glad you got an Eskate
Jus t wondering if you could still set it up to a cruising mode, rather than full acceleration and brake. By the way, I love the dual trigger remote, cars have 2 or 3 pedals, why not a board? It feels more intuitive to me
There is an app where you can adjust top speed, acceleration and breaking. So you can tweak it to the smoothest chillest ride out there, or go back to beast mode.
i like how yoyr channel turned into boards reviews!! love this BTW i've been watching your videos from th beginning!
Boy was I looking forward to your review! I watched it, as usual, till the end. Every time I see one of your videos I'm amazed by the relatively small following you have on the platform, as your supreme storytelling and editing deserve way more.
I feel blessed to be part of this niche, because your UA-cam channel is truly a hidden gem!
Thanks for for posting,
Marco.
I like this review, but he sounds biased or at least this review for this board is almost like the board lives in vacuum where other (better options) boards don't exist.
Also most riders don't just ride urethane.
Wow what a great review!! I really enjoyed that!! can’t wait to get mine cheers 👊🏻👊🏻🤙🏻
Great review Sam!
Great video Sam!
Great video mate i cant wait to get my carbon and i personally think the remote set up is great 🤘🤘
I came from the instagram
live. Sick review, crazy fast board!
Ive had my carbon Hadean for 8 months and it hasn’t given me any problems. I’ve decimated hills and steep roads with the board and the ride is excellent. So much power in that board! I much prefer to AT tires over the street tires as where I live and commute to, the streets are broken and full of holes so the AT has kept me well protected! I am at the point where I’m considering buying new tires as I’m worried they are worn down and I just want to be as safe as possible. Anyone got any advice on maintenance and stuff like that?
Love your videos!!
Excellent review! Thanks!
What are your thoughts about this board versus the EoVan GTS carbon? What brand of battery is in this hadean?
Fantastic review!!! :)
Thank you for that 2nd to the last comment, "As always, please wear a helmet." Thanks for setting the example and voicing it. In the mean time, make it a wonderful day. As always, ROCK ON!!
Great review Sam.
How would this compare to the Propel Endeavor Pro. Looks like for a cheaper price you're getting a lot more. Just trying to understand my options and would be great to get some advice. Cheers!
Yeah this thing is overtly expensive, but the propel is 40 pounds. The onsra black carve 2 or the unknownboard are both cheaper options and have similar if not better specs.
@Hnilička Lukáš Propel is one of the huge boards type that don't even qualify as a skateboard anymore (like baja, lacroix etc) the atlas 4wd is comparable in design... but it has very shitty range (for me riding aggressively and in different terrain runs out of juice in 10-12 miles.)
@@DB-hm7mu agree, I bought the propel but for a different purpose. I also own a boosted board which has shitty range but it’s a skateboard so it isn’t very heavy either. I actually think that atlas and evolve with the big wheels are also close to not being skateboards imo
@@jacobskjdtsrensen9425 very close indeed...which its why comparing them to larger boards doesn't even make sense
@@DB-hm7mu "not a company" onsra still manages to produce better board than "company" evolve
One thing we need to know is if breaking system is capable of keep the board at a complete stand still while using the break (like at a intersection )?
Fantastic review!
did they fix the remote good enough
While i'm not really a fan of this board, i'm glad they made it and i hope they continue to create new stuff. RIP Boosted.
That's nice! I can't wait to get my Exway Atlas
My man! Buy 2 lol. Its hilarious how he didnt compare it to other boards lol.
@@indigowolf8712 every time I see that guy I feel like there is no honest opinion in his video regarding Evolve. Evolve's mutt.
Nice video Sam. Sad to not see backwards function on it, Evolve.
My second and current board is the hadean bamboo all terrain. my previous board only got 26kph and i have gotten 45kph out of this baby. Im almost 17 and payed a grand for it, couldnt be happier with this board.
i would be realy interessted how it is compared to the new meepo hurricane. The Hurricane has a bigger battery and bigger motors. And it only costs 1800$, would be great to hear all your opinions about that.
I haven't put in as much time on evolve boards as boosted, the controller always scared me away- too punchy and large. Did you get used to it?
I really like the GTX controller, hold the Hadean's controller last week, and it's significantly heavier. But I really like it, feels like a tank.
what’s your board of choice??
The only part I would love from the Hadean in my DIY is the controller ‼️
I actually like the double trigger
Imo, trigger finger is always more accurate than thumb scrolling up and down
So I understand why evolve went with seperate brake and accelerate triggers
Yes but its a source of many crashes for people that dont know about the accell shutoff and if the brake trims are too sensitive
Sam I need you to review this onyx rcr I just bought. Whole different beast outside of the super 73
Amazing review. Very informative
Best most comprehensive review I've seen yet in under 10 minutes, good job, but I still can't afford one ☹️
ua-cam.com/video/07KeJZP9kZg/v-deo.html
Youll go broke on repairs if you buy one like i did 😂😂
I still rock my boosted v2 from 2017 xD
Tbh I feel bad for those who didn’t get the full viewing experience w the Insta live q&a 😂. Dope video
Eovan GTS is 1k less
- Has same motors with same power
- 852Wh battery with Panasonic cells
- Better wheels
- Carbon fiber deck that looks even more slim than evolves
- DKP trucks, Just like Evolve.
etc.
You are paying 1000 dollars for a good remote and 6 months longer warranty.
Yes kaly and lacroix are using better deck and wheels = no like? You are simping for almost 13KG board about it being portable but adding twice the battery and better wheels apparently means they are not eks8's anymore lmao
can anyone tell me between Lacroix jaws and hadean 2 in 1 , which is better for carving? And which is better for off road? thanks!
Can't they make a Boosted Style controller too? Maybe sell both types of controllers? That's the reason I never switched to Evolve. I just bought another Boosted Stealth. I bought a Boosted Stealth deck too, and am going to build a board using that deck.
Just popped off the 15 minute Q and A!! This board is insane! 🔥🔥🔥
How fast can you get from lower Manhattan to Central Park on the Hadean?? Time challenge extended!
I loved the video, but I have a concerned tho, with that much power, how’s the belt holding up ? With the boosted board v2, if I drive it crazy I cannot pull a lots from those belt, and you’re telling me that 6000 watts total won’t break the belt that easy ?
I mean I’m curious
The evolve belts are much thicker than the boosted ones! I used to ride a Boosted and I broke belts all the time. With the GTR I have I’ve only broken 1 in the course of a year!
@@eboardbrandon2730 that’s the answer I needed to hear ! I’ve got to say that I appreciate a lot boosted board but now that there’re out, I start to love more and more evolve, however the price 😓
The Endeavor pro looks like it has better specs for way less money, am I missing something or is it just the Evolve tax?
How much do you weigh? Because i know weight plays a factor in range
Is it better than boosted board?
What do you typically do about the board when you are grocery shopping and stuff? Do you have reccs for locking or do you drag this thing around everywhere? I have a boosted and even carrying that around is annoying
When I do grocery shopping I always put the board in the cart. Sometimes people ask me if it was for sale in the supermarket and/or where they put "them". xD
Damn if a boosted is annoying to you, maybe stick to analogue haha. boosted is easily one of the lightest esk8 I've picked up.
Dragging it isn't so bad even carrying a grocery basket plus the shopping carts there I just came from the store on my board
Nice review. After the GTR I lost faith in Evolve. With the WowgoAT2 and the exway Atlas are better for the price.
@Hell's favorite Salty Masshole no, it’s your first board. But when I ride my Wowgo AT2 with my friend who has a evolve you can tell the difference when off roading. For that price tho, you’ll be fine.
Just bought a Carbon GTR a few weeks ago. Just rode over 100km with it so far. I can't fault it.
@Hell's favorite Salty Masshole there is a good reason the board was that cheap... Lol
I was waiting for this video!!!
Edit.: The video was very good and the place where it was filmed is beautiful!!!
Great review
how else would you do it without two triggers for go and stop?
Yo Meepo Hurricane destroyed the Evolve Hadean 🤕
What a great Review!
Open face helmet, no pads, no gloves, no wrist braces. Excellent.
It's how some of us like to ride, do what makes you comfortable and not worry about what others do
I legit still wonder who will ride this beast on snow.Especially in nyc
Nobody :)) I have older Bamboo GTR with these 107mm wheels and it is almost impossible to ride on wet surface. Rear wheels are spinning instantly and whole board slides. Maybe with all terrain wheels, but torque of these boards is so high that without some traction control, it will be impossible to accelerate on snow.
@@Sesulak You’re not kidding about it being impossible to ride these boards on wet ground if you’re using 107 wheels, the other day i went over some wet leaves and flew off sideways into the ground…definitely learnt my lesson.
I've always wanted a Boosted Board since Casey introduced me to them. I'm glad you're keeping up with the current generations of boards. Thank you for this video. Hopefully by next year they'll have something like this available for half the price. I really wanted a Boosted tho...
I would still get a used boosted. You can get a very good used board for $700. Boosted community is still strong and have been able to help with servicing boards.
@@CHARLIEBITESHARD honestly that's what I've been thinking about doing. I'm moving to Vegas this year and I think it would be so sick to bomb around that town on a boosted. You think I'll need to travel to New York to make that kind of deal or do you think I could do that online? Traveling to New York is in the cards next year.
@@SeniorWhoopyIRL You can purchase online or on craigslist/Facebook marketplace. The problem is that you can't travel with an extended range battery. You would need to remove and ship the battery if traveling by air.
@@bobbymeyers7043 😐 ya, The battery is so large it makes for complications when traveling by air, and I do plan to be traveling by air often so this is a worry.
evolve won't drop its price never but the competition is getting g better and better so in a year there probably will be a board like this for 1500 bucks
Nice review, but shame you didnt try the all terrain tyres for us viewers, as thats why I was here. In the UK we need to use those wheels as we don't have nice smooth roads like out in the USA, we are pot hole central out here
You might need a full faced helmet and some joint pads. I crashed my motorcycle only doing around 30 and ended up with a fractured hip bone and nerve damge. Be careful and take it easy!
Is it all wheel drive ?? Or does anyone know how make it all wheel drive?
How bout rain/splashes resistant?
Polyurethane wheels have next to no traction on wet surfaces. You’re gonna fall before you flood the board.
Nice Review!
Great video!
What's is the weight limit on this board
With meepo NLS I was able to do 34mph and i only paid 600 bucks
Where's the vid vs the surron? I refuse to believe that was sports mode
great review i want one now thank u - and far out i would be wearing gloves going that fast
What would you replace an aging Boosted Stealth with if you didn't want to drop 3k on a Hadeon?
Either of the 2 mentioned already or a $600 Syl 08 my boards pretty durable I rode it this winter in mpls
$2900 What a joke lmao.
Anyone thinking about this board should seriously consider the MBoards endurance too, double the range of this board and very similar.
Lets hope this one has a better water seal than my GTR Bamboo. I had that 6 months and it seized up twice throwing me off.
Evovle only covered it under warrenty once despite it being within warrenty. Which means my £1500 toy is now worthless unless I fork out hundreds to get it repaired. As you can tell I am not happy at all. You basically cannot ride it offroad in the UK without risking water ingress. It needs IP water resistance rating, then it would be awesome!
Warranty doesn’t cover water if they don’t give the product an official IP rating (that said yes they should be working towards actually sealing the boards)
Waouuuuu is it available in France ?
Is evolve the new boosted to you? Do you think they will fill that void of being the go to electric longboard?
@@adomce1996 thought the exact same evolve is just a shitty company way overpriced this review was really biased almost seemed like an ad
You can buy a board that outperforms this for half the price. Eovan GTS Super Carbon i.e. more power, better range.
since they sent AT tires u have to test them out. NY pot holes will swallow u whole!
All those vents and stuff... This seems like one of the worst boards to drive in in wet weather? Pls correct me if im wrong...
E-boards are still illegal in Germany, especially 45km/h will never be legal, maybe in a few years 25km/h are a thing
i drove my onsra black carve 2 for over 7 months on the streets in germany with high speed and had no problems yet
I'd love to get that board if I could afford it!
Si quema 🔥 - here from live
so this is what you were riding when i met you at lower soho last time lol
I wish i bought my hadean 2n1 today.
I bought the hadean BAMBOO!!! 2n1 for 2,400 back in 2022.
Fastforward to 2024
I could have bought the CARBON edition 2n1 for 2,149.
And still save money.
Also hadean battery is not good.
It's shut off around 30%.
I'm confused. Wait. Your a speed demon going 17mph?
Wowgo AT 2 is what I’m looking at, these seems so bad ass I am knew to these so I like researching all the ones out
The board looks sick! I wonder if NYC will kill e-board tho, especially with the new DOT law.
$2900 yet still same sloppy double kingpin trucks?! Lacroix or Kaly NYC seems more of a solid choice in the same price range. There is already a vid of one having the same malfunction as all their other boards that put the guy in a wheelchair. Great review, but of a way overpriced board.
ua-cam.com/video/rKKAzrdjIQ8/v-deo.html
Not here to put down any board type or company but also the top of the line boards have their issues. Just sayin'.
@@ElGuapoDeSantoPoco everything in life has its problems. Someone buys a Ford escort and problems. Someone buys a Bugatti and problems. Some boards have sloppy double kingpin trucks and some boards have something advanced that significantly reduces speed wobbles to keep the board stable. Some boards lock up frequently and consistently across the board and some rarely malfunction. Evolve had the nerve to do a comparison between their board as opposed to “China boards.” Hmmm, let’s look a bit closer at because maybe you may have missed that. The evolve gtr is made and assembled in China just like the boards that were compared sooooo evolve boards are China boards as per their own definition as per their videos and what they say. I have an arsenal of boards. The only boards I have ever sold were my gtr boards. I had both. Yes I had some good times on them when they weren’t kicking me off or overheating, but for the money I invested it was a big loss. They, evolve, are great at marketing hence all the fan boys. Nobody is really talking about the new torque board that is an unbelievable product that’s fairly new. They suck at marketing is all. If the Hadean had real ESK8 trucks, and they fixed their ESC it may be a great board and worth the money. That’s not the case. They can get away with that because of their marketing and friendly customer service. That’s their smoke screen and a lot of ppl are buying into it. I just have learned a few things since I got into this amazing sport. It’s nothing to be butt hurt over. I mean spend all that money to get less. I just chose otherwise. Cheers Herman. Sorry for the late reply.
@@myrap8you
No way Evolve has sloppy dkp-trucks, or at least not more sloppy as an Onsra, Exway, Lycaon,... If you want to go +35miles , and don't want or need to do tight turns other type of trucks or more suited for you for sure, doesn't imply dkp-trucks are sloppy, it's just different style. You prefer your Lacroix, which you put up in comparison with the Hadean, but I read in another comment your Lacroix board is mostly under repair? You bought a second GTR just to make sure it's crap?
Maybe you are the Torque Board "fanboy" and most Evolve owners are just "happy customers" , right?
Btw:I know the Atlas video and "China board" discussion, silly video of Evolve which they probably regret making, just as Exway regrets shipping boards with wrong batteries or Lacroix regrets producing unbalanced wheels, still all good companies with excellent boards.
@@ElGuapoDeSantoPoco welp I hate to break it to you Herman, but I ordered both GTRs simultaneously as my first two boards, oops. You compared the Lacroix to the Evolve hence your link to the Lacroix that you posted Herman lol. The metroboard and the NYC Kaly do tight turns and they both exceed 35 mph sooooo ummmm? Herman, the metroboard has double kingpin trucks that are not sloppy sir. Although I have not rode the new Evolve board I did own 2 along with all the other boards discussed if you had done all your research. Herman being that I have owned Evolve boards (with the same trucks in this discussion), Lacroix, Kaly, Metroboard, boosted, onewheel, and a torque board. I have ridden all of these hundreds of miles each and most of them thousands. Do you own any of these boards to be so well informed? Herman, none of my boards that I own stay my favorite forever. I keep the good ones tho, but the not so good went bye bye. Herman, these are merely my experiences and opinions. They are not attack on you Herman. Enjoy your evening sir :)
@@myrap8you you stated that "Lacroix seems a more solid choice", not me. I have not ridden a Metroboard or Lacroix, but I would like to. I am sure these are nice boards with pro's and cons depending on type of usage, riding style and what your main criteria are.Sorry to hear your Evolve boards had problems while so many others have no issues whatsoever. There 's tons of new boards being released , exciting e-skate times ahead.
Cool, could be interesting to see how it stacks up to Exway Atlas, 2WD or 4WD.
He’s got something going with evolve so unfortunately I don’t think he can make reviews or ride other better boards
@@ewanbristow the 4WD would blow it out of the water in everything except range, the 2wd would probably only be able to keep up.
Hadean vs 4wd atlas drag race came close. Torque is win for hadean it atlas has faster top speed so that's why it came first at finish line. Imagine hadean had 4 wd
I haven't even tried the top acceleration on the atlas. It already feels like it could just flip me backwards
$2900 to go 28mph?!😂 I paid $2700 for my Lacroix Nazare in 2019 that goes 44mph with 30 mile range.
Very nice I a also have the same board but with abec 111mm zoobomb and 29 gear tooth top speed 39 mph ps iam going into surgery next week for my elbow because some asshole cut me off wish me luck since iam part of the Evolve family
Hey Sam, you want a powerful board? I'll come up to NYC and show you what me and a friend built (DIY all-terrain board from sourced parts). Puts this thing to shame. Not that the evolve board isn't great- it is! I just feel like you'd be interested.
Unfortunately a begode T4 EUC costs the same, goes faster, is just as portable, and multiplies the range, all with an 18' pneumatic tire and 100mm suspension travel. Eskate manufacturers need to up their game if rhey are to be offering the same price to utility ratio as other PEVs
basically a portal gun for the city
If you’re into DIY like me, you would immediately know that the $2900 tag is outrages. I can build these specs for $1800. For $3000 I can even go 4WD gear drives
Crazy thing is this comment is super true my boards a DIY with competitive specs currently less than 1k YOU ABSOLUTELY WILL find a board with these specs and better price
@@staticex9228 unfortunately diy is pretty freaking complicated.
I'm currently building a 2.2k board for off-roading with 63100 motors and a 12s4p battery that would absolutely dominate his board. Every time he says this board has the best specs out there, I have to chuckle to myself. Is he just that clueless or did he intentionally leave out more powerful boards?
Absolutely, all DIY builds (not just e-boards) are far cheaper due to the individual performing the manufacturing, sourcing of components, testing, and debugging.
$2900 for a new evolve is a lot to someone who’s experienced with the process, but it’s more than reasonable to any newcomers.
I highly recommended a DIY over an evolve to a friend who had a major accident upon completing the build. Unfortunately they then pushed for regulations on electric mobility devices which has virtually destroyed the E-skate community here due to their injuries. It also destroyed our friendship.
Highly recommend DIY still, but only if you have significant knowledge and experience with skateboarding and DIY. It’s not worth saving 1k if it puts you in a wheelchair and ruins everyone else’s enjoyment.
Keep the knowledge tight brothers! It’s not worth some idiot trying to cut corners and then pushing for reforms to get their medical bills paid.
Lol yeah turns out meepo can also make a way better board for half
