Hi! I had tried to record my reactions to those two songs, and it didn't record. With the song Boys Don't Cry, I felt like the lyrics contrasted with the emotionality of the way the lines were delivered--almost like the words were too sensitive for the singer to perform them without slightly mocking it. I wondered it that was the point, that he wants to express himself but is too sensitive to take himself seriously? I had heard Just Like Heaven before, maybe in commercials or movies, but it was different listening to it in its entirety. I felt like it really captured the way being in love can evoke so many mixed emotions at once, hilarity, peace, excitement, and anxiousness. :)
