Toutes mes félicitations Monsieur Gabba pour cette superbe interprétation ... Un magnifique phrasé, une excellente registration et une technique hors norme .. Bravo à vous ...
What a sad life poor Krebs had to live. Not having patrons or commission he worked for food to feed his sizable family. His teacher, the great Bach, taught him very well but the music was already outdated from creation to make way for the great composers of the Classical period. Sad that we hardly hear of him or his work, as it is very fine music and great examples of late baroque work not composed by Bach.
complimenti vivissimi per questa splendida esecuzione! se posso permettermi: dovrebbe affrontare più spesso questo repertorio, visto l'ottimo risultato!
Very nice Fugue ! I think this has to be a record, for fastest return of the subject , ....the very second note, (albeit a single note to the measure). I guess Krebs is the last great Baroque composer still writing Baroque fugues, .(after Bach)
Massimo Gabba, I am sorry for my inadequate English. I wish that you followed the information from the composer - during the toccata we find a numbers of manual changes, but no one in the fugue. And the reason should be easy to understand, it sounds bad. All the manual changes in the toccata sounds good, because every single frase has a natural start and ending, but there is no natural start or ending in the fugue 6:19 and 7:14.
But he has not the genious of JSB, so far… Even if it requires virtuosity, it offers no surprises. He was a student of Bach, and he probably tried to imitate the master, but without really succeeding.
A Krebs gli sono riusciti alcuni preludi! comporre fughe come la 548, la 564, la 542 , quella in mib+ quella della passacaglia, pare non sia stato così semplice.
Bravo! Outstanding performance! How do I find "Toccata and Fugue in e minor by J. L. Krebs' score?Whare can I perchase? or score copy from you to perform in Korea?from Dr. Henry J. Paik

It's a music lesson in itself. Fugue and organ. Thank you maestro !

Fantastic performance! Thank you maestro Gabba - Krebs is one of the greatest organists and musicians ever....!
There is a thoughtful power and restraint to Krebs which I greatly admire.
Very fine phrasing, with elegant use of rubato and the correct legato.

A student of Bach (one of Bach's favorites) who suffered greatly as a baroque style composer in the era of style gallant.
The end of an era! he suffered much trying to feed his family having never received a post or a patron.

Krebs clearly loved Bach's BWV 540 Toccata
Hermosa música. Beautiful
MONSIEUR Massimo Gabba, je salue la performance ! C'est mieux que beau !!! MERCI . D.BABEL
Fuga starts at 4:51 very interesting fugue and beautiful of course
Straordinaria interpretazione. Complimenti.
Wonderful piece/great playing!
Lovely organ, great playing and most informative to have the score to follow. I wonder if Krebs's autographs were as neat as his master, JSB?!
Very well played, bravo!!

Das stimmt ! I agree fully with you... ma cui il sono dell'organo e tanto bello ! MERCI !
Quite similar to BWV 540 in a few ways.

@@popovbozzo6398 Bach considered Krebs his best disciple, even better than his own sons. Needless to say, that's a supreme honor.
@@popovbozzo6398 I'm glad I'm not alone. I always hesitate to say that...but yes, "no surprise" is a precise expression for his organ output.
