To be honest, this is a bit true. There are videos on UA-cam where musicians play music, and the cows curiously follow the musician! It may not be hypnotism, but its pretty close to this scene.
"He don't prod, he don't yell, yet he drives them Doggies well. Which ain't easy when yer chaps're labeled XXXXL!" I love that bit. :) This part too. "He don't rope, not a chance, he just puts 'em in trance. He's a pioneer Pied Piper in ten-gallon underpants!"
Basically the inversion of a typical villain song in a Disney movie. Typical villain songs are dark, gloomy and ominous. This one, instead, has bright, mesmerizing colors.
Theory: The reason why this song sounds so cheerful despite Slim being a villain could potentially hint at Slim not always having been evil. What I mean is: I remember reading that Slim used to be a farm-hand but was fired repeatedly throughout for his yodeling being deemed annoying. Now he gets revenge by using his yodeling to steal cattle (and possibly even other animals if he wants) and ruin farms. So my theory is that Slim used to be good, but decided that if his yodeling couldn't be appreciated as a gift then it would be feared as a weapon.
@@calebanderson4155 Well, this did take place in The Wild West. And while I don't agree with this, this is kinda around the time where ignorance was more bliss than it is today, and it apparently was OK to be ignorant in that sense. At least that's what I infer.
The sound engineers meshed together Quaid's parts and the parts of the professional yodeler (you can hear the timbre changes if you listen hard enough). For instance, the entirety of that yodelling solo at 1:30 was performed by the yodeller.
I don't get why people hate this movie, it's just family fun trying to bring disney fans back to the days when disney made you laugh cry and love the characters and the struggles they go through
So... where were the lyrics between the end of the first and beginning of the last verse - you know, the bit where it got complicated and was based on 'Song of Joy', the 'William Tell Overture' and whatnot? Because that's why I came here, after all.
It’s called “Ode to Joy” which is Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, a segment of the 4th movement. (My marching band adapted the 9th symphony into marching style music in 2016, it turned out great.)
yeah a live action version with a sad backstory which explaines his motives and try to make us understand him. doenst alwats work with all the villains but some are exactly really sad.
Fuck what critics say this movie is good some people don't know a masterpiece when they see it. They would rather get brainwashed but some mediocre ass animation like frozen.
I think if this movie were remade into live action, Maggie, Grace, and Mrs. Calloway would be made humans and they would get the Willie Brothers' lines.
This is definitely not going to replace “Be Prepared”, “Hellfire”, and “Shiny” as my top three favorite Disney Gillian songs (I also really don’t like this movie)

I sing it every time I sit at the train station when a train is about to pull into the station.
Carlee Boulais My singing? Songbirds sing! Saloon Girls sing! Little bitty snot nosed children sing! I yodel and yodel is a ART!!!!
It's almost imposible to sing this song!
Yeah, I'll say. If I could find an instrumental to use, I'd stick to the Willie Brothers' parts only and leave Alameda Slim's open.
He actually had a pretty good plan
And almost got away with it as well
Needed more noise and muneh so he can escape to tahiti.
To be honest, this is a bit true. There are videos on UA-cam where musicians play music, and the cows curiously follow the musician! It may not be hypnotism, but its pretty close to this scene.
i would so love to see a behind the scenes from this XD haha
He really got to give props to the voice actor of Alameda Slim. I'm from Texas and I can't even yodel!!!

I Wanna Be Like You: Am I a joke to you?
I rewatched this movie recently, and this scene made me question both my sanity, and my soberness. XD But I loved it and tried to sing along anyways.

props to the singer. both the high notes, and the impossible to say lyrics. how the hell did the Randy do it?

I just want the people who created this movie make another one in 2018

This sounds too cheerful to be a villain song 😄😄😄.

Which Yodels were Quaid's and which were Randy Erwin's and which were and Kerry Christianson's?

Why didn’t Maggie get hypnotized?
Maggie did get hypnotized.
It was Grace who didn’t get hypnotized and the reason why was because she was tone deaf.
