Plus guns don't always jam after reloading, sometimes they jam as you're shooting them, it'd be more realistic if the protagonist did this as they're shooting the gun.
Doge Sempai that and the movement, it actually feels like your walking / running unlike in fo3 and new vegas where it feels like your gliding around on the terrain.
Actually, the character creator for FO4 was way better than 3/NV. their character creators were so boring that I just skipped it. and literally everything is wrong about F04 is quite a statement. the NPC's in 3/nv kinda all looked alike and always had an eerie stare in their eyes that made them look like androids rather than humans F04 however gave NPC's at least a little more variety and during dialogue they don't eerily stare you down, they react and move more realistically. also the graphics and world are much better.
I agree on the dialogue system, back then you had the options to question, or interrogate someone and sometimes even stop them from attacking and ending something peacefully, it happens in FO4 albeit very rarely.and I wish your character had changeable voices and more backstory to give him/her some depth. but all in all, I still find F04 to still be enjoyable despite many downgrades from its predecessors maybe cause I'm too big of a fallout nerd.
**4 HP left** "oh fuck oh fuck I'm dying I'm dying lemme just reload a bit the deathclaw is almost dead" **Garand slide closes on Thumb** "AH FUC- " **dies to a Garand thumb**
Also I have to add, Fallout 4 does not have real life guns while New Vegas and 3 have many from the G3 assault rifle in 3 to the M3 Grease Gun (9mm smg) in New Vegas.
Zac Alizada Oh yea forgot to mention them. Still such a small proportion of the weapons, and every handheld minigun in Fallout games is not realistic and just has characteristics of real miniguns.
With DLC, yes, without, there are only about 5 new archetypes with a marginal difference compared to fallout 3 (Most of the variety comes in the specifically unique weapon combos such as automatic versions, an slightly buffed versions) And, as far as fallout 4, it's a similar story to New Vegas, except the DLC barely added anything, and they didn't act like they where completely different.
This game is still one of my all time favorites. And I do agree; though perhaps I've developped a sort of weird attachment to this jerky engine. I really liked the gameplay even though the engine was limiting at times; it gave it a distinct combat-feel that I still find fun.

I have a couple issues with Far Cry 2... well for one I've put about a thousand rounds through each of my 2 AKs and neither of them have turned to a pile of rust. The guns degrade waaay too fast and there's no way to maintain them. Then there's the weapon models... why is almost everything flipped? the AK is backwards, so is the FAL, SVD, Dragonouv, PKM and so on... And why does everything always jam the same? With the pistols you mainly get cases stuck in the chamber (which could just mean you're using bad ammo) but when in reality there's a lot that could go wrong. Stove pipes, failure to ejects, double feeds... I feel the next Far Cry should follow in the steps of Far Cry 2 but they need to do their homework on the guns they're putting in there. I'd have no problem lugging around a cleaning kit to keep my rifle clean in between fire fights in game.

Kilstardo The guns in Fallout 4 are different. Because you can turn any gun into a different gun. Like a rifle to a machine gun. New Vegas has alot of guns but customization is limited
Jarrett Basse Even variations of customizations? Fallout 4 traded in weapon diversity for weapon variety. Also they were more in tune with the overall retro theme as well so.
Or you just bought them brand new from the gun runners and start popping rounds on it. Though for realism, these would go down for atleast over 10k rounds

Yeah lol, if I had to take a guess (since in not really an expert with flamethrowers myself) I'd say that indeed a flamethrower like the one in Fallout wouldn't jam, in reality I'd say the closest thing to a jam that could become of a flamethrower like that is if the tube on the side of the flamer which gets fuel to the barrel to ignite got damaged, like as if something heavy fell on the tube and bent it enough so that the fuel may have a hard time getting through that part of the tube into where the fuel is to be ignited, plus if gunfire were to rupture the tube it could render the flamethrower useless, or maybe in a worse case scenario ignite some of the fuel inside, which would have the fire lead to the tank on your back and blow it all up most likely killing you or at least leaving very scarring injury
This Machine was/ is an amazing rifle, though its pretty weird and obscure to get. A good majority of the weapons, especially the automatic rifles and plasma weapons are pretty useless or completely lacking in sustainable ammo so I think most people just stuck to semi auto rifles and pistols.

Also like just how many of them are solved by banging on either the gun or the ammo-case. Pulling out the Red Glare's scope when it tried to recede was also really cool.
I miss New Vegas, as you can't currently play it on XB1. It was my favorite Fallout game, nothing like Fallout 4 is. Just looking at all of these weapons brings back memories of the vast arsenal of explosive weapons like the grenade machine gun and rifles like the battle and marksman rifles, as well as truly unique weapons that had different skins and special attachments rather than magical powers. Onigiri Nope. Fallout 4 is aa bad FPS with a few RPG elements. New Vegas is an RPG with a few FPS elements with more quests, more weapons, more options for quests, more interesting and it's not loaded with unkillable NPCs.
uhh no not the new ones aka hunting shotgun, 9mm weaponry, marksman/assault/service rifles, anti material, etc. Bethesda only did the 10mm, sniper rifle, minigun/gatling laser, laser weapons, plasma weapons, gauss, tesla, and explosives.
Damn, New Vegas was so good. I still can't believe it had so many weapons along with many different animations. Too bad Bethesda decided to not have these feature for their newest minecraft clone.
Yeah...not too much of a fan of Fallout jamming system in general. I think the standard was set too high by Far Cry 2 All they do here is a toned down version of simply reloading. In fact, if you didnt know they were clearing a jam, it just looks like they're looking at the round or chamber, or playing with the gun itself.
God, I remember a lot of these. And I remember how frustrating they were when you'd be in the middle of a heated firefight, swap mags, and then have the gun "jam" on you. Screaming at the TV going "why now! Why now of all times!?"
The people hanging out on the strip were probably terrified.

I like how some of the jamming animations doesn't have anything to do with jamming at all lol
Jao Leyon Wutep and some of them is just like "stop.. stop it.. just stay still."
Harith Azmi my favorite jamming animation is the red glare, because the character is ripping out the scope like," nooope get back out here!"
J and J Games
Corroding connectors for the batteries? Strained focusing lenses?
Plus guns don't always jam after reloading, sometimes they jam as you're shooting them, it'd be more realistic if the protagonist did this as they're shooting the gun.

fallout 4 is missing the tiny things like this, weapon conditioning was annoying but it really added to the survival lore

Grenade launcher jams? Smack the screen a couple of times.
Red Glare jams? Blame the scope for it.
Spider Venom why does the Gatling Lazer jam that's just stupid
Laser weapon jam? It's like sometimes your TV remote doesnt work so you gotta smack the hell outta it
Tail Indigo apparently it worked on my remote tv controller
I swear, more than half the time it's not even that the gun jammed, it's just that the character has OCD.

NovaXP, I’d like to think that that is isn’t just freeside noises.
This is the video that introduced me to new vegas.
Thank you for publishing this video (:
Some of these are just funny. I wish that guy that made the crazy reloads made a mod for NV now, just taking these to extremes.
You mean the the "Extreme Weapons" mod for Doom?
Viking the Mad Sometimes you just need to beat something hard enough to fed it working
This really gives me an appreciation on how much the developer's went to so much trouble, just to make a animation for my gun jamming.
The shit i watch at 4am...
Im doing the same thing.
Tomorrow i need to wake Up at 7 :)
I always loved these because he usually just pulls the mag out and hits the fun with it
I miss the old fallout fallout 4 plasma rifle looks unfinished
A lot puff the guns in Fallout 4 looks awful, especially the "assault rifle".
Vector
The assault rifle in 4 is pretty weird looking, but i thought the plasma rifle looked great, especially with the animations it used.
@@Vector-oo2mg omg the assault rifle litterally looks like a piece of corrogated steel in the vague shape of a gun.
44 mag is my favorite.
That exact thing happened to my dad the first time he ever tried to show me how to use a firearm
2:34
me fixing my dvd in 2010
Jam animations, durability, unique attachments, these are all things that fallout 4 needed
"Is your weapon not working, huh? Uhm.. have you tried turning it off and on"?
Sweetheart Taric get. out.
jk that was actually funny
I love the red glare jam animation little details like this is what I love about this game they put so much love into this game
love the fact that fallout 4 dont have any cool guns like these
I love that he notices the "jam" on almost every gun before he even checked to see if it was jammed or not
such a good fucking game, forgot about half of these weapons
Impressive how he can reload sone of these with one hand holding the gun(i.e grenade machinegun, minigun, gatling laser, etc)
I think it's clear that Obsidian had... lets just say a better understanding of guns than Bethesda.
Some of these animations were reused from Fallout 3.
My First Fallout Game I Ever Played.
Same here
Damn, New Vegas was so good. I still can't believe it had so many weapons along with many different animations. Too bad Bethesda decided to not have these feature for their newest minecraft clone.
ASBA1991 lmao
I love how the animations got more fluid as it went into DLC weapons. Nice contrast.
why does slapping a computer always fix it
Alright but why is nobody talking about the sound design for this? It's top notch.
Weirdly satisfying
In New Vegas, you're not going to see everyone carrying different versions of the same pipe rifle. I like that.
I forgot guns jammed FO:NV
I like how when he's reloading the red glare he pulls it back out like "lmao where u think u goin"
Who misses the old fallout laser pistol
I love how nearly all of it is "Have you tried taking out the ammo and putting it back in?" with a healthy dose of smacking for good measure.
Why does FO:3 and FO:NV have more guns than FO:4 has
Mr. Subtitles because FO:4 had the custom parts and stuff and they didn’t feel like making a lot of pieces to use
I love how the player forcibly grabs the scope on the red glare so it wouldn't recede into it.
What about the nail gun?
Desert Foxchild 9mm smg
My favorite was the red glare. Idk why but just the courier grabbing the scope just made that amazing to me
This game had all these weapons, what does Fallout 4 have? Mods...
Diswazzi payed mods
Mods are better than anything nv has sooooo
dang it Vegas you take my money now I'm getting it back with all these guns that keep jamming for some reason
I love all the small details they put into the game, even the jams are interesting.
Yeah...not too much of a fan of Fallout jamming system in general. I think the standard was set too high by Far Cry 2
All they do here is a toned down version of simply reloading. In fact, if you didnt know they were clearing a jam, it just looks like they're looking at the round or chamber, or playing with the gun itself.
Far cry 2 released in october 2008, Fallout New vegas released in 2010 but it's based on fallout 3 released in 2008.
God, I remember a lot of these. And I remember how frustrating they were when you'd be in the middle of a heated firefight, swap mags, and then have the gun "jam" on you. Screaming at the TV going "why now! Why now of all times!?"
This Machine is technically called "Battle Rifle".
"That Gun" is also a .223 pistol.
Fuzzball Femboy it's a unique weapon from of the battle rifle
+Fuzzball Femboy (google wants me to die) he might not have the dlc to get get non unique versions, so he didn't know the name
Fuzzball Femboy "That gun" is a 5.56 pistol. Not .223.
Fallout 2 had the weapon first, and it used .223 ammunition.
