Good morning guys, super enjoyed this, I’m just sat here listening to it all like I’m watching something on sky documentary’s
Total agreee about seeing the whole site for Brett Cam , it’s a stunning site, not too much of the castle left but just enough still to get a good idea of what it was once like
Catch you on the next guys 🤜🤛

Really loved hearing about the special barbican inside the moat. Cool castle despite its modest looks these days 👍

One of the castles i've wanted to visit but never got around to ... prof Lawrence Butler who led the excavations on the castle was at York at the time that i was there
But it is more the association with the Yorkists and in particular Richard and his son Edmund being killed at the battle of Wakefield that interests me
not sure about ghosts here - i'll have to go and find out one day
    a great video once more

Gosh was completely oblivious to the fact that Wakefield has a Castle. Very high and impressive motte. What an incredible history of the castle being passed down. Whilst most of the walls are no more, its position and your narration makes it easy to picture it in its hey day. A fantastic site and a wonderful history told impeccably well. The area from the sky is incredibly impressive. ❤

@@PinnedonPlaces thanks , here is a suggestion for a castle to visit in South Yorkshire which also belonged to the Duke of York and one that he stayed at before fatally advancing to Wakefield and that is Conisbrough castle . Most of it still stands although in ruins but the keep is all there and you can go inside and if my memory is correct that too was free . It is located mid way between Sheffield and Doncaster . It's worth a trip .
