    I just wanted to thank you for this video. Because of you sharing your experience I was able to track down Dr.T and had my closure one month ago today. I may need to close my PFO that I never knew I had all my 52 yrs of life until 4 days ago when I had a stroke(TIA) that I was hospitalized for and with so many tests - 2 angiogram CT scans, one MRI of brain and one echocardiogram... I was diagnosed with PFO, which caused my TIA.
      I had a previous TIA in 2009 with my right eyesight going black...
      Anyways... besides having stage 3 CKD ... cancer 2 times, severe Raynauds etc etc the list goes on.. finding out 4 days ago I have PFO is a lot to take in and something new for me. Everything I've been through is coming together... i.e, all my symptoms... everything.
      After having my 2nd TIA due to PFO.. everything is moving so fast, which is good. I want my now "extended" medical team to help me and patch me up so I can confidently resume my positive lifestyle without fear of another stroke or a heart attack
      Thank you for uploading this video❣

    Have shortness of breath for 6 months now. First time it happened was when i was working out and my bpm jumped up and down and i was breathless. Took me 6 months to finally diagnosed with PFO. Doing this procedure soon after my TEE test to see how big the hole is. This video really eases me off a lot. Thanks

      Just a heads up, my cardiologist in Arizona was not supportive of this newer method at all and made me feel terrible about having it done afterwards. I had to leave and find another more supportive cardiologist after that. I did a new bubbly study a few weeks ago and it came back zero shunting and you could barely even see the stitch. I knew I made the right decision and that confirmed it even more.

I just had my last echo and given a clean bill of health and don’t even have to go to a cardiologist anymore. It’s completely closed and grown over, 0% shunting. It’s amazing. Hi!
    Thank you for a informative video! But i do have some questions for you ... When you had your stroke did you have any other health problems? You mentioned that you didnt take blood thinners the idea of a second stroke didnt scare you???.. Im 29 and i have no health conditions and i just had a stroke about a month ago and my drs want me to have the surgery to close the pfo i havesl so we can prevent any stokes, they put me on blood thinners and i should be off them sometime after procedure but reading all the complications im soo scared. Watching your video does give me hope i will defiantly look into this procedure :)

    • @ourhouse
      @ourhouse  5 років тому +1

      Esmeralda Abad I did not have any other health problems but I was pregnant. They wanted me to inject the blood thinners into my belly twice a day, so I was horrified and refused. Then the baby was born fine and I wanted to nurse so again I didn’t want blood thinners but I took a natural supplement Noattokinase. I was afraid of having a second stroke and my oncologist who checked on my blood work was pretty insulting on my “reckless” path but I refused the blood thinners. The side effects were scarier than a “what if”. I’m glad I wanted for an option that I felt REALLY good about. Everyone believed my blood cloth was due to being pregnant so after not being pregnant, I assumed if I kept myself healthy, “grounding” staying away from dark leafy greens that thicken your blood, smoothies etc, I should be fine. Also I heavily relied on prayers!

      Esmeralda Abad they do all the pro closures one sat a month so I think when I contacted them and heard back, I was scheduled for the following month. It was really fast. I had the physical home in Phoenix and the final bubble test in Virginia in Dr Thompson’s office before the sat procedure.

      @@ourhouse WOW, I just learned SO MUCH from this reply. So I need to stay away from green leafy veggies & smoothies- all which I love! I wonder why they didn't recommend the Amplatzer PFO Occluder? I kinda see the pros and cons, but to me I want to see the closure device completely close the flap, as opposed to the Noblestitch essentially being one stich that has shown to have degradation after so many years. If you're 75, it seems a suture method would be a no brainer, if you're in your thirties, you've got decades to live.
