THANK YOU for doing the amazing work that you folks do. I never expected to experience a stroke at 32, but after learning about my PFO and subsequently undergoing a successful closure procedure, I can hardly express my level of appreciation for every genius involved in this incredible work. THANK YOU With all my heart.

Hi Henry- Did you have the device closure or Noble Stitch? I too had a stroke recently (age 38) and they found an old stroke and are now pushing toward PFO closure. Thank you!

@@A_Staffoa I had the PFO closure where they introduced an umbrella-like device from a vein near my groin up into my heart. It was quick and painless. Sorry to hear you had a stroke, I hope you recover well as I have and never experience another one.

Thanks for the info…I had a stroke at 45, and just had the echo to determine the size of the PFO. Didn’t help that I have a hyper coagulation condition as well.

@@jeanpauljeanpaul2530 I listened to good music and studied while under Hospital care so I enjoyed it for the most part. Stay positive and stay well, God bless 🙏

Henry I was 38 when I had a stroke, " cryptogenic" at the time ( 2013) and i have a PFO. This month ( Jan) marks the 10yr anniversary. My cardiologist has scored for me to have the closure. Any residual effects from the closure? I appreciate any info

This isn't right about if you're over 60 you usually won't close. So here I am a 62 female and have known I had an atrial septal aneurysm since in my 30's, but not one dr ever told me about possibly having a PFO or even bothered to look. So I practically begged for a bubble echo and finally got one a little over two weeks ago, and unfortunately I do have one shunting from the right to left. I have been so short of breath my entire life and is getting worse. Also the migraines with auras are horrible. So due to my age I'm not worth bothering with??? How wrong this is.

I'm in the same boat. A hole in the heart. Have been having migraines with aura since I was 15. Have had 3 strokes and not one doctor has ever said I need to have it repaired. Also had a pulmonary embolism with hundreds of tiny blood clots. I am now on blood thinners which I am told it will do nothing to prevent a blood clot going through the hole in the PFO.

@@WayneLeng I'm so sorry you're going through this as well and had so many complications.

I was told they go typically to 65 but also depends on the individual case.
