Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Pro - Brisket

- On this video we do up a Brisket on the Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Pro using some of The Uncle Steve's Shake Competition Cow Powder! The end result was amazing! The rub was fantastic and the B and B oak lump and oak chunks gave this brisket over the top flavor! If you haven't used any of Uncle Steve's Shake I would highly recommend it! The Bronco Pro yet again ran flawlessly in the 40-50 mph winds I had during this cook and was super easy to maintain my cook temps! 🍻🍻

The toothpick for the grain is a nice trick 👌
Looks amazing! A lot of briskets I see appear all charred on the outside. This one looks perfect. Nice job.
Hey thank you Bamakettles! I appreciate that! 🍻
Awesome! That is an awesome Beard ! Nicely done!
Hey thank you Dad!! And she’s growing real nice!
Another great cook Brian! Oh man that brisket looks delicious! I think mini horse wants a taste....nicely done!
Thanks Jay! 🍻
I was this close ( I’m holding my fingers really close together) to buying the smaller version of that grill. But I found a 18” wsm on marketplace for $75 that was to good to pass up. In the process of cleaning and I’ve got some lava lock gaskets on the way but excited to cook on it. Brisket looked perfect 👍
Hey thank you! And that’s awesome! The 18” WSM is such a good cooker!🍻🍻
😁 Still a Brisket! 👍
Hey Bri! Everything worked with this combo......from the pit to wood to charcoal to temps to rubs, wrapping and resting. Dang Good as You say! 👍🍺 \m/
Hey Ken thank you sir! Brisket any day is a good day! Just sounds the coolest when it’s “brisket Sunday”! 🍻
I’ve got a Pit Barrel Cooker, but man I like that Bronco!
Ya I like em both but like the Bronco pro better.
Another awesome video
Hey thank you Peter! 🍻
Great cook on the Beast. Look like you had a water hose stuck in that thing with all the liquid at the cut...Great video...
Hey thank you Britt! And she was a moist one! 🍻🍻
Great looking brisket 👍🏻
Thank you Michael! 🍻🍻
awesome cook thanks for the video!!
Thanks Brad! It turned out pretty dang good if I remember right! 🍻
Looks good, fella. It's been a good minute since I've done a brisket. I need to do one soon.
Thanks Woody! And get on it! 🍻
@@MadHorseBBQ 🍻 will do
nice job. I wish we got to see the fire and charcoal setup too
Thanks! I believe I do have some cooks on the Bronco pro showing that.
Forget all that seasoning, your choice of wood is where the true flavor comes from. Best wood is red oak and a small amount of hickory.
Big fan of both oak and hickory but I love a good rub on a brisket!
Mighty fine looking brisket Brian. Glad you liked the Comp Cow Powder. Was that Mini Horse I heard giving his opinion too ? Great job !
Hey thanks Kent! And the cow powder is legit! And ya the mini always is lippin off lol! Have a great weekend! 🍻
Good morning Brian.... great videos man ... just need help .... what to buy a Bronco Pro a Smokey Mountain from Weber ... thanks and good luck
Hey Ivan thank you! And I’d have to go with the Bronco Pro! Don’t get me wrong I love both of them but you get so many different options with the Bronco pro right out of the box . For example you can set it up to grill, hang your meat, cook direct or indirect, has wheels on it, temp control is a breeze, and overall it’s a tank.
Forgive me if I missed it, but did you sprits at all? Thanks
Hmmm if I remember right I did not spritz.
What do you tend to set the intake and exhaust at to keep the temp around 250 to 275. If you dont mind me asking just got one for christmas trying to figure it out. Thanks great video
Thanks!! And exhaust is wide open and I take about a 2. I prefer to always leave the exhaust wide open and so far every cook I’ve been able to if I remember right.
@@MadHorseBBQ thank you only thing I have smoked on mine was 2 whole chickens and they came out tender and juicy. Love the videos man. If you on the videos let us know how you have them set up.
@@joshbarrick4509 awesome! And are you saying that you want to see how I set up the cooker for a cook?
@@MadHorseBBQ yes that would be awesome this is my first time using a drum smoker so I'm trying to take in as much info as possible.
Did you have to add charcoal at all? I’ve yet to use my drum for longer than 6 hours. I just want to make sure my drum will be able to stand 10-12 hours lol. Awesome video!
I didn’t have to add any charcoal! And thanks Brandon!
My bronco goes about 6 hours … Don’t forget this is Bronco Plus they last much longer great cook
What internal temp do you usually wrap it at?
Usually in between 165-175 but it really depends on the color.
did u sell the pit u made? and the upgrade conversion also?
Are you taking the UDS I built? If so no I didn’t! And what upgrade are you referring too?
@@MadHorseBBQ it's the one with the horseshoe handle on the lid,you were cooking on it while u were building yours
@@Stlmgnolia ohhhhh the Pit Barrel Cooker!! And no I still have that! I’ll never get rid of that cooker!
I want to get one brother did the fix the air way pipe
Dooo it! And I’m not sure what fix you’re referring too.
Bro there is nothing to fix on this unit. The regular Bronco was the unit that had the issue with the air intake pipe. This model is the Bronco Pro which is a larger unit than the regular Bronco. I just purchased an orange colored unit from Amazon 2 weeks ago. I'm going to assemble it tonight so that I can burn it in and have it ready to hang smoke a turkey on Thanksgiving.
@@TheProjectManager100 ya I know what he was talking about now. I’ll have to be more clear that I have the Pro and not the regular.
@@MadHorseBBQ Its all good. Theres no reason to be more clear because you were clear in your title of your UA-cam video. It clearly states "Bronco Pro" in your title. That guy probably didnt read the title thoroughly. Or he may have just assumed that if the regular Bronco had an air intake problem then the Bronco Pro has it too. It's all good. Have a great weekend.
How do you add wood?
You add it when you light the coals
