Great reaction and thanks for the English subtitles. This was at the Budokan (a martial arts arena built for the 1964 Olympics and a very prestigious music venue) in Tokyo in March 2014. Su was 16 and BABYMETAL are the youngest average age female band to headline there - they sold it out two nights running. The Kami Band that night were Leda Cygnus (blue guitar) Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar) BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums. Rondo of Nightmare is about being caught in a recurring nightmare. Su is being chased through the dark but she doesn't know what is chasing her. Eventually she is hiding but whatever is chasing her is coming closer and finally she accepts there is no escape so she asks whatever has been chasing her that if she is to die will it at least show itself. I think 'Catch Me If You Can', live at Budokan (so the same show as this) would be a good song for another reaction. The “Mischiefs of Metal Gods" intro is a ritual performed by the gods of guitar, bass & drum to summon the Metal Queen Su-Metal. because in this song her human soul has been trapped in the recurring nightmare with no way to escape. the Kami Band in this show are : - Leda Cygnus (1st guitar solo) in the past usually play with 6 string, but now he's using 7 or 8 string. - Takayoshi Ohmura (2nd guitar solo) in this song he's using 7 string guitar named "Golden Moon". but, during the extra show "BM Metal Galaxy World Tour in Japan" in 2019, both him & Leda was using 9 string guitar (ESP E-II MF-9 BabyMetal). - B.O.H (6 string bass) - Hideki Aoyama (drum) his little brother (Yuki Aoyama) and father (Jun Aoyama) also a drummers. but, sadly both passed away. his father is consider as one's of the best drummer coming from Japan.

Kamis' (=Gods') super plays are excellent enough as a main event, but once the 16-year-old Queen emerges from the underground, she colors everything differently and turns Kamis' plays into a ritual to summon her.

It is a real treat to see the Kami Band be featured at the beginning of various songs. Another good one where they get an intro like this is "Catch Me If You Can" also from Budokan. GREAT REACTION! I'm happy that you both enjoyed it! The musicians are called the "Kami Band". "Kami" means god in Japanese, and these guys are like gods of music. They are all men and are Japan's best musicians. They are wearing burial gowns and corpse face paint because in the BABYMETAL lore/story, the "Fox God" raises the musicians from the dead and calls upon them to play the music for the girls for each concert. The 3 girls have been chosen by the "Fox God" to unite the world through metal.🦊🤘

The Kami band guys did solos, the other 2 girls take a break during this song. She takes a break while the other 2 girls have their song (the first 2 albums had 2 Su-metal solo songs, and 2 duo "Black Babymetal" songs). Bassist BOH is a beast ! Love it. You are right, Babymetal is doing something nobody has done before, which allows them to do things nobody has done before. Some might ask: are they metal ? The music is metal. Their origin isn't metal, but Su-metal has the same job as Floor Jansen in Nightwish. She isn't involved directly in the initial writing of most of the songs, but she is definitely involved in the creation of the final version. I would say they are becoming more and more metal over time. And maybe they will always be some form of hybrid. But their existence is a good thing. They were meant to be a gateway band to metal for the mainstream in Japan, instead they went further into metal and they are more popular/well-known in western and Japanese metal scene than in Japanese mainstream. Because they can't tour this year they are actually appearing more on TV in Japan again to break into the mainstream. Whatever happens, Babymetal is a great addition to metal. They have significantly increased sales of albums in Japan of other metal bands. I had suggested Oh Majinai before, because of your earlier video. If you want to get to know Babymetal a bit more first, Ijime,Dame,Zettai at Sonishere, UK 2014 could be a good video to react to. Babymetal's first appearance at a metal festival outside of Janpan. You asked for other bands, you already know Ningen Isu, but have you checked out Bloodywood yet ? how about checking out the song: Machi Bhasad (Expect a Riot). They are from India, they've played at Wacken in Germany as one of the first shows they ever done (!). It was one of the last shows of their first tour. The album name is: Raj Against The Machine. :-)

Grandissimi raga, ottima scelta per apprezzare anche le innegabili doti della kami band, l'intro della canzone si chiama mischiefs of the metal gods e direi che il nome è tutto un programma :-), rondo of nightmare in questo live l'hanno suonata verso metà show, fino al 2017 la intro più usata nei loro concerti era BABYMETAL death ( che è anche una delle più heavy che hanno, se la volete sentire cercate la versione live Legend 1997 in quel caso è stata usata come ending e capirete perché xD decisamente sublime), vorrei proporvi anche babymetal Yava with kami band intro, avete mai sentito lo ska-metal? ❤️

They usually play this on the middle on the show because Su-metal sing it solo while Yui and Moa having a break and then they take over the stage duo as a Black Babymetal while Su take her break. So we can conclude the song is great for beginning till end of show
Un paio di info da aggiungere: - i 4 assoli dei musicisti dovrebbero essere tipo i Dei della musica che evocano la cantante :D - Durante i loro concerti che durano 90 minuti solitamente, alternano canzoni in cui ci sono tutte e 3 le ragazze, a questo assolo di SU per far riposare le altre 2, e ci sono anche dei duetti delle altre 2 (YUI e MOA) per far riposare SU! - Quando SU abbassa la testa e si sente una voce nasale tipo da carillon, se notate lei sta premendo il naso contro il microfono: molto probabilmente è riuscita ad ottenere naturalmente quel suono senza alcuna modifica da dietro le quinte. Un cantante che ha fatto una reazione a questo video ha detto di aver provato la tecnica e che effettivamente funziona, anche se non è riuscito a farla bene quanto lei! - se volete rendervi conto da dove sono partite, DOKI DOKI MORNING è la prima canzone che hanno fatto, un video con pochissimo budget, ed il successo di quel video le ha permesso di continuare a fare altri video!

Grandissimi raga, ottima scelta per apprezzare anche le innegabili doti della kami band, l'intro della canzone si chiama mischiefs of the metal gods e direi che il nome è tutto un programma :-), rondo of nightmare in questo live l'hanno suonata verso metà show, fino al 2017 la intro più usata nei loro concerti era BABYMETAL death ( che è anche una delle più heavy che hanno, se la volete sentire cercate la versione live Legend 1997 in quel caso è stata usata come ending e capirete perché xD decisamente sublime), vorrei proporvi anche babymetal Yava with kami band intro, avete mai sentito lo ska-metal? ❤️

Akatsuki has duo guitar solos, Yava has an awesome solos from the band, Kagerou has solos from the Kamiband of the West (or both East and West if you can find the video), try checking out Tales of Destinies....etc... First Video i watched from you guys but i will not be the last, and the fakt that Hideki (Drummer) is in it makes it perfect. He sadly passed away in 2018 but he showed us that Drummers (i played to^^) are part of the Band even if we are underrated but take a look at Dragonforce - Trough the fire and Flames No one is talking abot poor Dave loosing 20pounds of sweat xD

You said the instrumental is great for intro and the music and song great for ending and guess what? They usually play this on the middle on the show because Su-metal sing it solo while Yui and Moa having a break and then they take over the stage duo as a Black Babymetal while Su take her break. So we can conclude the song is great for beginning till end of show

Un paio di info da aggiungere:
- i 4 assoli dei musicisti dovrebbero essere tipo i Dei della musica che evocano la cantante :D
- Durante i loro concerti che durano 90 minuti solitamente, alternano canzoni in cui ci sono tutte e 3 le ragazze, a questo assolo di SU per far riposare le altre 2, e ci sono anche dei duetti delle altre 2 (YUI e MOA) per far riposare SU!
- Quando SU abbassa la testa e si sente una voce nasale tipo da carillon, se notate lei sta premendo il naso contro il microfono: molto probabilmente è riuscita ad ottenere naturalmente quel suono senza alcuna modifica da dietro le quinte. Un cantante che ha fatto una reazione a questo video ha detto di aver provato la tecnica e che effettivamente funziona, anche se non è riuscito a farla bene quanto lei!
- se volete rendervi conto da dove sono partite, DOKI DOKI MORNING è la prima canzone che hanno fatto, un video con pochissimo budget, ed il successo di quel video le ha permesso di continuare a fare altri video!
