Formed in 2010. Their major debut single “ Ijme, dame, zettai" along with 2nd single “Megistune" both ranked in the Top 10 Oricon chart in Japan. In March 2014, they took to the stage of Nippon Budokan for a 2-Days gig making them the youngest female act to ever perform there. Their 1st studio album BAYBMETAL made it into the US Billboard chart. In summer of the same year, they embarked on their first World Tour, performing on the Main Stage at UK’s prodigious festival Sonisphere Festival 2014 in front of 65,000 festival goers, and supporting Lady Gaga on her “ArtRave: The Artpop Ball” 2014 Tour. In fall they were back for additional headline shows in Hammerstein Ballroom, New York City and O2 Academy Brixton, London. In January 2015, they headlined a show at the 20,000 capacities Saitama Super Arena, and in June 2015, they headlined a show at the 25,000 capacities Makuhari Messe. In summer of 2015, BABYMETAL received awards from prominent UK music magazines “Kerrang!” and “METAL HAMMER”. They then performed in front of a staggering 90,000 people at the prestigious Reading and Leeds Festival in August. I'm in my 40s. Haven't really seriously liked any band or artiste in a loooooong time. And then 2 years ago, i came across babymetal ... n fell in love. Rondo was the 3rd song from them i watched/listened. Blew my mind, it did.

Great reaction. Possibly the darkest of their songs lyrically, Su is caught in a recurring nightmare running through the dark from something she can't see. In the part you liked with her looking like she was almost suspended in mid air she is hiding in a fountain, but whatever has been chasing her is still coming closer and accepting their is no escape she asks that if she is to die won't it at least show itself to her.
The Budokan is a martial arts arena built for the 1964 Olympics but now also the most prestigious venue for concerts it is the place Japanese artists aspire to play and few of them actually get there.
This was March 2014, Su was just turned 16, Yui and Moa 14 and they are the youngest average age female band to ever headline - and they sold it out two nights running ... no small feat when you also consider these shows marked the launch of their first album.
Keep the BABYMETAL coming, they have many more great songs and incredible live performances.

@@justicedemocrat9357 Funny thing is the only pervs who think anything like that are in the comments on UA-cam projecting their own issues when maybe they should be seeking help.
There is and has never been anything for them with Babymetal, no exposed skin, no dubious or suggestive dance moves, not even anything in the lyrics of any of the songs - just very talented performers and good music.
Anybody with that sort of filth in their mind thinking of taking an interest now has missed the boat anyway, they're in their 20s.

One of my favourite songs as well. It does a great job at creatiing this hauntingly dark atmosphere, which - as you may know by now - totally fits the lyrics. And it's incredibly beautiful at the same time. Needless to say that Su's voice renders it perfectly.

This song was a game changer for me as well.
Actually, all three of Su's solo songs that night helped turn me into a diehard fan..
The 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods' instrumental was the 11th song of a 16 song set.
Su's solo song 'Rondo of Nightmare' was the 12th.
That was the sixteen year old Su. Her voice has only gotten better since then.
She has a unique penetrating clarity to her voice that makes it perfect for metal.
Without having to boost her volume she can still be heard through the heavy drums, bass and guitars.
"Rondo" is still easily in my top ten BABYMETAL songs.
It was one of three solo songs Su performed that night.
She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set.
That Black Night Budokan concert from March, 2014 is still one of my favorite BABYMETAL shows of all time.

In this video, Su is just 16 years old performing at the famous Budokan arena in Japan. BABYMETAL were the youngest band/artists to perform there at the time. The Beatles, Ozzy, Cheap Trick, and Bob Dylan have performed there too. Su has such a commanding presence that you forget that she is a tiny girl on that stage, at just 5ft -1inch (155cm) tall. She may look like a tiny mortal, but she is a giant beast on stage.
I read a recent comment that described the lyrics best: She is singing about "a nightmare running away from a monster she can not see...she is exhausted and hides in a well. And she gives up and just asked the monster to show itself to know what she was running from before she dies.". This is one of their darker songs. Of the 50+ BABYMETAL songs, Su's solo songs have more depth lyrically.🤘🦊🤘

The fearlessness of Su-metal. Think about that, she is on a platform 2 meters wide 2 meters up, without any safety equipment. Lights on her face, there is no chance that she can see where she is standing. It's okay if you stand still, but she takes some dance moves and then there are the thing with your mind, it's playing with you when you know you are on an elevated platform. AND the night before, Yui-metal fell of the stage (not this elevated platform though) so she must have had that in her mind too. Kitsune up🤘🦊🤘4/yon-metal

Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 If you want to see BOH's usual performance (not as a Kami), you can find the good video in UA-cam with keywords "kari band u/yeah!!"
Kamis' (=Gods') super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently and turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her. How many times we should go through waves in this song? Billows, ripples and rollers.

Rondo Of Nightmare/With Mischief Of God Intro:-
    Babymetal:-
Babymetal (Japanese: ベビーメタル, Hepburn: Bebīmetaru) (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese kawaii metal band. The band consists of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal" (Vocal and Dance) and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal" (Scream and Dance). The band is produced by Kobametal from the Amuse talent agency. Their vocals are backed by heavy metal instrumentation, performed by a group of session musicians known as the "Kami Band" at performances.
    KamiBand:-
"The KamiBand are the instrumentalists (or backing band) in BABYMETAL - Each member is a "god (Kami) of music" summoned by The Fox God stage by stage. All the Kamis have their own jobs and side-projects in addition to BABYMETAL".
Current Members Who Perform At Nippon Budokan:-
•Takayoshi Ohmura (Guitar, ESP SNAPPER-7/R Gold & Twinkle Pink).
•Leda Cygnus (Guitar, ESP BLUE CUSTOM).
    •Daisuke 'BOH' Bohte (Bass, ATELIER Z BETA 6, Boh'S CUSTOM 6).
•Aoyama Hideki (Drums, YAMAHA Signature Drum Kit).
BABYMETAL is the youngest act to perform at the Budokan and artists need to be invited to perform there.
Live at Budokan: Red Night & Black Night Apocalypse (stylized as LIVE AT BUDOKAN ~RED NIGHT & BLACK NIGHT APOCALYPSE~) is the third live video release by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. It contains two concerts performed at Nippon Budokan shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album, and was released on January 7, 2015 in a standard edition and a limited-edition box set exclusively for "The One" fanclub members.
    Nippon Budokan:-
Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues.
A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple.
    [Rondo of Nightmare]:-
Akumu no Rondo [Rondo of Nightmare]
is a song from BABYMETAL's first original album, BABYMETAL, by SU-METAL.

    •Artist: BABYMETAL.
    •Album: BABYMETAL.
    •Lyrics: Yuyoyuppe.
    •Composition: Yuyoyuppe.
    •Arrangement: Yuyoyuppe.
    Lyrics Overview:-
"Rondo Of Nightmare (悪夢の輪舞曲; Akumu No Rondo)"

Nice reaction. You had to love that one. Su singing 6' up while the bass player and 2 guitarist rotate around her. Vertigo is not a problem for Su. She's got nerves of steel. Boh the bass player has done most of the Babymetal shows. When watching a Babymetal concert check him out, he's always having a good time back there. Babymetal breaking the box again. There is nothing Kawaii about this song. It's a dark nightmare of a song. Do check out the lyrics for this song. Babymetal is just full of surprises. Add this song to the list.

@@justicedemocrat9357 I know your joking here but we must be from very different places. Diddling her? and rondo just means recurring. So a song about recurring diddling. Some might say thats not a nightmare at all. However this song is about a recurring nightmare of a creature in the dark chasing her. She dies at the end that's why the song comes to a sudden stop. If you want it to be PG13 you can say she woke up. That would end a nightmare too.

They are wearing burial gowns and corpse face paint because in the BABYMETAL lore/storyline, the "Fox God" raises the musicians from the dead and calls upon them to play the music for the girls for each concert. Just wanted to correct some info that I saw in your twitch chat that weren't correct:
    - Actually BabyMetal isn't the biggest band in Japan, but it's most successfull Japanese band outside of Japan! They were the first Japanese act to headline wembley Arena and In October 2019, the band became the first Asian act to reach the peak of Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart.
    - They trained from an even younger age than 10! Su, the main vocalist, enrolled at the Actor's School Hiroshima at the age of 8, and YUI has been taking dance lessons from a very young age!
    - They blew up when Gimme Chocolate became viral in 2014, so SU was 16 and the other 2 were 14. They were already scheduled to perform at Sonisphere that year but at a small stage. But since the buzz that the viral video made online and adding that they sold out almost immediately that small stage, they decided to bring them on the main stage, were they conquered the crowd
Since you liked this song, I think you should listen to Akatsuki, from the same Budokan show ;)

    BABYMETAL 101
Babymetal is a Japanese group founded in 2010 and produced by Kei “Koba” Kobayashi from the Amuse Inc. talent agency. Babymetal name comes from the birth of a new style of metal fusing j-pop with metal creating what they call Kawaii Metal (Cute-Metal).
The group currently consists of Suzuka Nakamoto aka “Su-Metal” (23 years old) sometimes referred to as Vocal and Dance, and Moa Kikuchi aka "Moametal", pronounced as Moa-Metal (22 years old) sometimes referred to as Scream and Dance. With a third girl filling the third slot, in a 3-member formation. This girls is known as an Avenger her name is Momoko Okazaki (18 years old). They are supported by a rotating selection of talented male backing musicians known as the Kami Band (Kami is usually poorly translated as gods, but in truth it more closely means awe inspiring spirit, entity, or object) It is why they are dressed in white to look like ghosts or spirits, though Kami being used as God(s) is so common in translation the white outfits get lost.
    Past Formations.
    Heavy Music Club Era (2010-2012)
From 2010 to 2012 Babymetal consist of a three-member formation, Suzuka Nakamoto (Age 12), Moa Kikuchi (Age 10), and Yui Mizuno aka "Yuimetal" pronounced Yui-Metal. (Age 10). First starting out as the Heavy Music Club as a subunit within the Developmental Idol Group created by Amuse in 2010 known as Sakura Gakuin. Sakura Gakuin is a group that introduces girls between the ages of 10-15 to music, dance, modeling, and acting through Japanese Pop idol music and culture. Given a school theme, all three would be a part of Sakura Gakuin until their graduation from it in the same school year they would graduate from Japanese middle school or 15 years old. Suzuka graduated in March 2013, and Moa and Yui in March of 2015. Sakura Gakuin is a fantastic group with great kawaii jpop songs in their own right. During this time there was no lore, and the girl’s costumes were more punkish in nature which they helped create. They also didn’t perform with live music, using a backing track or the “Skeleton band” people pretending to play music behind them.

    Babymetal/ Metal Resistance Era (2012-2017)
Starting in 2012 with the Legend I concert, Babymetal began its slow divorce from Sakura Gakuin, and was the first introduction of the Kami Band as well as the “Lore” that is still heavily involved in Babymetal but makes far less sense than it did during this time. The Lore is complex and involves a battle against other evil idol corporations, gaining powers, some time travel, running a resistance group, all at the direction of a mythical deity known as the fox god, against an all power enemy known as Akiba. The first Legend show I was the Kami Bands introduction to the end, but it also had the Skeleton Band which is seen in the wildly popular Gimmie Chocolate Music Video. This was followed by Legend D, and then Legend Z, in which it was learned that Babymetal would continue as its own entity after Suzuka’s graduation from Sakura Gakuin in March of 2013. Slowly over 2013 the Skeleton Band would be phased out of all live shows, as Babymetal came into their own.
Babymetal as it is most commonly known as with Su-Metal, Moametal, Yuimetal, the Kami Band, and a somewhat understandable lore is what consisted for the majority of it’s existence. Also established beyond the 3 member formation, they had 2 other set ups, one was what fans called Su-Solos, and it would just be Su on stage with the Kami band, performing a solo, and the other is known as Black Babymetal by the band themselves, which consisted of just Moa and Yui.

The Dark Times, The Chosen 7 Era
    (2018)
In December 2017, Yui would miss the Legend-S concert for health reasons, these health problems would prosiest into 2018 and greatly affect the 2018 touring season bring the “Chosen 7” formation, consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi, and 2 backing dancers Minako Maruyama, and Minami Tsukui. Changes they would not tell fans and all throughout 2018 communicate extraordinarily little causing lots of pain for all involved fan and performer. This era is noted by their strange armor like costumes, sometimes referred to as Elf Armor. To make the poor communication, and Yui’s absence wasn’t bad enough, one of the more regular Kami band members, Mikio Fujioka passed away after falling off a balcony in late December 2017 while star gazing. A beloved and incredibly talented musician lost leaving behind his wife and only child.
In September 2018 Yui would formally resign from Babymetal, stating her unspecified health and wishing to move on. Babymetal themselves announced that the group will move on focusing on Suzuka and Moa. (Something many idiots within the fandom refuse or are too stupid to understand)
In October Babymetal had a concert called Dark Night Carnival which added dancers, Shoko Akiyama, Saya Hirai, and Kotono, placing a total of seven girls on stage. This was also done without warning to fans and was an absolute mess. Babymetal would finish off the 2018 tour season returning to the 3-member formation with just Saya Hirai joining them in southeast Asia and Australia. Ending one of the most troubling times in Babymetal’s history.

Starlight (Don’t let overzealous fans fool you, this is OFFICIALLY not a tribute to anyone. A lot of fan speculation, end of story)
    Metal Galaxy Era
    (2019- Feb 2020)
The current set up was first introduced in 2019 during the Babymetal Arises concert in Yokohama, before the start, the “Avenger” support dancer concept was explained in the lore, and the concept thanks to communication and a maintaining of the 3-member formation brought Babymetal out of dark times brought about during 2018. Babymetal seemed to have returned to its roots with the Avengers, as 2 of the three (Kano and Momoko) come from Sakura Gakuin. The third Riho, went to the same performing arts school as Suzuka during the same time, Actors School Hiroshima aka ASH.
    Music Videos of this Era
    Pa Pa Ya
    Elevator Girl
    Shanti Shanti
    Da Da Dance
    (Avenger confusion)
Which Avenger one sees can be confusing for those new to Babymetal. For the Music Videos, Pa Pa Ya, Elevator Girl, and Shanti Shanti Shanti, it is Kano Fujihara, who was just 14 years old at the time. Da Da Dance is a compilation of Momoko and Riho and a splicing of 2 different shows. In most fan cam videos of the American and European tour it would be either Riho or Momoko, as they toured with Babymetal in 2019. Kano had responsibilities with Sakura Gakuin as its president, a position Suzuka and Moa both held in Sakura Gakuin, and she’s never flown on a plane before.
Some fans for 2019 did throw a stupid temper tantrum over the use of new Kami Band members who are from the west now known as the West Coast Kami Band, but like how the girls won over many, so did they and the payoff with the Legend Metal Galaxy concert in 2020 was well worth it.
    COVID Era
    (Mar 2020 to April 2021)
COIVD-19 has messed up a lot of things for everyone, Babymetal had to cancel their Asian tour, as well their big 10th Anniversary on October 10, 2020. Forced to keep it rather tame something very unlike Babymetal as even in their failures like the entire 2018 tour they do it septically. The question for many fans is what of the Avengers, since COVID, Avenger Riho Sayashi has signed with a new agency and has move on to other projects, including starting a fan club, which appears to rule her out of ever being an Avenger again. Kano Fujihara has graduated from Sakura Gakuin on August 30, 2020, a near 4 month delay. However, she and fellow Sakura Gakuin graduates Soyoka Yoshida, Tsugumi Aritomo, and Momoe Mori in the formation of @onefive. Which leaves Momoko Okazaki as last standing Avenger with no new commitments. However, Kano was technically in Sakura Gakuin, @onefive, and Babymetal all at the same time for almost a year so it is possible she will still be an Avenger. All shows since COVID pandemic they have done in 2020 and in 2021 have had Momoko as the Avenger.

Post 10 year Anniversary/ Covid Era Part 2 (May 2021-Current)
The band is stepping back from live shows due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and focusing on the sale of Merch. Don't let stupid fans fool you the band is not on hiatus or ending. They are idiots and deserves to be made fun of.
Momoko had a very very short stint in a Korean Idol Competition Show called Planet 99. She performed perfectly, better than most of the other girls in the show. She even got the most votes in a small side competition demolitioning all other 98 girls in the show in votes. This won her some hair dye (She is blonde currently). Ultimately be it dumb BM fans thinking the side competition was the actual competition, how the judging was heavily skewed to Korean voters, the fact that her fate was tied to 2 other girls one Korean and one Chinese, and or possibly ridged voting something the company producing the show has done in the past, Momoko was eliminated in the very first round.
BM's producer Kei Kobayashi also put out a biography in early September, and all proceeds will go to the Babymetal team not for himself. Once again don't let even more idiot fans fool you the band isn't going broke... This fandom is filled with a lot of them sadly.

I think she’s a little older too so the quality just got better and better and su-metal is such an amazing vocalist … def does good job showing the band solos and then su-metal doing her thing… I love this one. It’s definitely a different vibe from most of the ones I’ve heard and the eerie vibe I think is really cool and she has SO much stage presence and really tons of power in that tiny young girl lol

Just a small correction on the info you had on screen at the start (from pokeabg). Babymetal is not the biggest metal band in Japan. Although they are big, bands like X Japan are bigger. Babymetal is the biggest Japanese band _outside_ of Japan though, regardless of genre. In fact, they used to be the best selling Asian band outside of Asia, although I do believe they've lost that spot to BTS recently.

And he still plays for the 5 or 6 years this power metal trio exist a 7 string.
